Turn Your Affiliate Product Sales on With This Three-pronged Opt-in List Strategy!

November 19, 2009 by IBI · Leave a Comment

Internet marketing startups often turn to affiliate programmes for products to add to their sales listings because there is such a wide range of easily downloadable products offering generous commissions. However, they are often dismayed to find that it is surprisingly difficult to make any sales on the affiliate products they have placed on their websites.

While some people with high ranking websites will certainly be making sales directly off their pages, that is not really the best way to go about selling affiliate products or programmes, especially if the links are not supported by useful, relevant, well written and original product information.

The main aim of the front page should be to get visitors to sign up to your newsletter via your opt-in form. You will now be able to FOLLOW UP on those visitors who filled in your opt-in form, and remember, it is in the follow-up that most sales are closed.

If you have been struggling to master the net and make a profit on your online business, here is a three-pronged marketing strategy to help increase your sales.

First Prong: Know Your Product

Choose a product that matches your niche, offers a good commission and is also well written and presented. Yes, that means you will have to BUY it yourself!

Get to know the product well enough so that you will be able to write a review that is comprehensive, honest and authentic.

Second Prong: Write A Product Review In Three Parts

This is important. Don’t just write a single review, post it and forget it. Write your review in THREE parts and send each part as a separate message to your list over the course of 6-9 days.

The aim of the headline of the first message is to create maximum curiosity to encourage a high opening rate. The main copy should create rapport with the customer, induce a sense of familiarity, emphasize the BIG BENEFIT and neutralize scepticism.

Of course, your link through to the product site should be included, but since most of the sales come in the FOLLOW UP you will need to prepare your second and third reviews, each in a different style.

The second message should be in the form of questions and answers about the product, further neutralizing lingering scepticism and encouraging purchase via the link you supply in the body of the letter.

The third message should make use of bullet points to emphasize the benefits to the reader of purchasing and again provide a link for immediately doing so.

Third Prong: Whack Your List With A Too-Good-To-Turn-Down Offer

As well as the MAJOR BENEFIT of the product itself, make your readers a BIG OFFER and add a TIME LIMIT to give it an edge of urgency…

Here’s what you do. In each of your letters you emphasize how good the product is and how much you want your readers to benefit from it. So much so that you are going to make them a generous offer.

Offer them either a rebate on the retail price. Make it between 75%-100% of your commission. For example, if the product costs $50 and you earn a 50% commission, or $25 per purchase, offer to give them a rebate of between $15 and $25!

What? Am I crazy?

Well, maybe. Note that I did not advise that you offer a discount, (which you would probably have to process through Paypal). I said “offer them a rebate.”

…What’s the difference?

Well, a discount is given up front. A rebate is awarded post purchase.

What you do is provide your purchasers with a link to a rebate form that they print out and post to you with their name, address and the product they purchased and the purchasing code. Explain to your customers that it takes X number of days to process payments. Ask them to send the form to you X number of days after they purchased the product to claim their rebate. You undertake to send them their rebate as soon as you receive your commission cheque.

Simple!

Several things accrue from this.

Firstly, it is unlikely that every customer will follow up on the rebate, so you won’t lose all your profit, even if you offered to rebate 100% of your commission.

Secondly, you have converted a number of people on your list into customers. If someone found your products satisfactory and the sales experience to be smooth, safe and secure, they will be more inclined to purchase from you again. You can now sell to them again and again.

Thirdly, when you send them their cheque, you can include some direct mail materials. Of course they will open the letter from you since they know there is a cheque inside, and so they will be much more likely and well disposed to read your printed sales material.

So make them a nice follow-up offer and you stand to recoup your profit all over again!!

How to Get Massive Traffic and Turn it Into Huge Profits!

November 11, 2009 by IBI · Leave a Comment

Traffic is important for the survival of any online Business. The question is; how do you increase your traffic so that you have the opportunity to make huge profits. Without traffic, there is no online business. Ads are not clicked, your sales pages lay dormant, and there are no profits. You need profits to run any type of business successfully. The best way to develop ongoing traffic is through the search engines. Following a little known tactic that I’ve used to attract those search engines.

To get massive traffic, you need to get the attention of the largest search engines. Article marketing is a very effective technique to develop this type of organic traffic. However, there’s one problem with this tactic. If you submit your article to large article submission directories in addition to placing it on your own website, the article will be flagged as duplicate content. In this case, your article will appear in search results only for the sites with the highest Page Rank. This means that the article you place on your own site will not appear in the search results.

However, there is a way around this. To get your website’s article to show up in search engine listings, you must rewrite it before placing it on your site. By changing the wording of your article and changing the title, search engines will see it as an entirely different article and will show it in search result listings.

Although it is not always possible, you can frequently get the articles you place on your website on page one of search engine results. Using these tactics, you can generate massive traffic and turn that traffic into huge profits. In order to do this, you need to use an effective keyword strategy. Use your keyword or key phrase:

At the beginning of your title

In the first paragraph

At least 4 times in the body of your article

At least once in a text link

In the description Meta tag

In the keyword Meta tag

Although there is no guarantee that your article will be listed on page one, using the tactics depicted above gives you the best chance. Do you want to learn other money making techniques? Get my FREE ebook and start making money online!

Twitter to turn a proft

November 4, 2009 by IBI · Leave a Comment

The Twitter phenomenon shows not the slightest sign of slowing down. With phenomenal growth – a recent survey suggested that Twitter was expanding at more than 1000% a month – more and more people are spending their days Tweeting. Figures for February suggested six million unique users – and that is a figure only going upwards. The same survey, by media giants Nielsen, also said Twitter is growing a lot faster than Facebook.

Twitter does offer real benefits – from following the famous to telling your friends what you are up to, you can be very specific about what messages you give out, and very concise too, with Tweets having just 140 characters. Celebrities have literally thousands of followers who are kept in touch with their activities via their laptop or SMS mobile text services.

Twitter has made The Daily Show and even the Doonesbury Comic Strip and has won awards – its definitely one of those “breakout” phenomena that has caught the attention of the wider public as well as internet obsessives.

Here is the great thing. When I Tweet, I am forced to really construct my thoughts. “The other day I discovered that” is nearly a quarter of your Tweet! “I have several ways to make money on Twitter” is one punchy message that delivers. “Let me tell you about the power of Twitter, its…” and so I could go on, and on, being both long winded and not particularly informative. Distilling the message is key. Simplicity and clarity. It’s actually a welcome antidote to some of life’s bull if you ask me!

While it might be fun to catch just what Britney Spears had for breakfast, smart people are finding ways to make Twitter work for them. You don’t have to think too hard to realise the opportunities it offers, for delivering concise, direct messages that you choose to thousands of people. If you have followers on Twitter you know that they have chosen to hear what you have to say.

So if you want to cash in on Twitter try the make money with Twitter guide.

If you are already making money with twitter then these Twitter apps might help you.

Five Big SEO Mistakes that will Turn off Your Visitors – SEO Tips and Advice

November 3, 2009 by IBI · Leave a Comment

Writing for search engine optimization, more than ever, is a balance of art and science. While the science applies to predominantly toward the search engines, the art pertains to the content your visitors see once they arrive at your site. While there are an absolutely unlimited number of SEO mistakes that can be made, the following is a list of five that will have your visitors clicking the “back” button and leaving your site, never to return:

1) Writing for the search engines only – Sticking as many keywords and phrases into your content may generate points with the search engines but don’t sacrifice quality for quantity. The algorithms currently in use take ratios into account but keyword rich content is only one aspect of the total calculation. Granted, you’ve got to cater to the search engines to move up the rankings but if your visitors are bouncing off the site after reading a couple lines of your content you are losing the battle.

2) Sacrificing readability while catering to your keyphrases – Jamming keyphrases into your content because they score well as search terms can work against you if they don’t read well in the content on your site. Optimizing your content in this manner can turn your keyphrases into a series of non sequiturs and can be annoying and confusing to your readers. You will get a much better response using keyphrases that fit into your content, even if they generate a little less traffic.

3) Using misspellings in your content – While misspellings can be valuable as search terms, sneaking them into your content will sacrifice the credibility and professionalism of your site. Calling attention to a misspelling using, for example, an “also known as” doesn’t work either.   Many people will go to site and forget everything they saw except for the words that were misspelled thinking, “Haven’t these guys heard of spell check?”

4) Multiple repetitions of the same keyphrases – It may work in songwriting but using the same keyphrases as a chorus will turn off a reader, especially if they see the repetition as an attempt to drive home a point. At that point it becomes insulting, which isn’t a great way to start a relationship.

5) Using key phrases that are tangential to your objectives – Incorporating high traffic keyphrases that relate to but aren’t part what you’re offering might get more visits to your site but they will bounce as soon as they realize they won’t get what they’re looking for. Don’t waste the time and page space going after visitors that aren’t going to convert.

Sacrificing the quality of your content to pursue traffic is an assured path toward frustration and sub- par website performance. The same can be said for content directed at your visitors which ignores the search engines. Optimized content must work both for the search engines to bring traffic to your site and for the visitors that arrive after finding you. Striking a working balance between the two with high quality content that is rich in keywords will drive traffic to your site while conveying the necessary credibility and trustworthiness to your visitors which will then lead to your main objective; conversions.

Blogging – How to Turn Your Blog Into an Online Money Maker

November 2, 2009 by IBI · Leave a Comment

Whilst it is fairly easy to get a blog up & running, making decent money from it is another matter entirely and something that remains elusive for most of the blogging community.

So if you want to set up a blog that has the legs to generate a more than decent income, then read the following 5 things to ensure that your blog is an online money maker

1. Can you make a decent income by Blogging?

Well if you consider an annual 5 figure income decent then it is a totally attainable figure for your money making blog. However, don’t be fooled it doesn’t come easily as it does require some work but for someone working full time and effectively on their blog they could easily generate well in excess of $1000 a day.

2. What Skills or Talents Are Required to Create a Successful Money Making Blog?

As the barriers to starting & creating a blog are a;most non existent, many people have started blogging & have hoped to generate a wealth of income from them, but have failed dismally in the cash generating area.

So why is this you may ask. Well for starters to be successful at monetizing your blog there are a few factors that can influence this but the number one factor is intelligence – or web savvyness, ie. to be successful at blogging you need to be fairly web savvy above all else.

What this means is that you need to have a good sense of knowing what will make money & generate interest on the net and how to present your blog to capture & monetize this demand.

If you don’t think you are web savvy enough you could do a lot of reading & learning to become web savvy but if you don’t think you have what it takes to achieve this, don’t be disappointed if your blogging exploits amount to nothing in terms of income generation.

3. What Do You Blog About?

This is a fairly crucial decision that you need to make before starting your blog because if your blog’s topic is not popular enough you may not generate enough interest or traffic to generate more than a few dollars a month. So you need to have a topic for which there is sufficient demand & interest for it to be worthwhile in terms of monetizing it.

4. Can You Have Multiple Streams of Income on Your Blog?

It’s a good idea not to have all your eggs in one basket so having multiple streams of income options on your blog is not a bad idea. Some blogs can have as many as six different streams of income made of advertisements, products, for sale, donations etc.

5. What Is the Cost of Blogging?

Blogging and setting up a blog is really cheap. There are some free blog set up options, but if you want to use your own domain name that will be a cost as well as web hosting which could be as less than $5 a month.

One of the best things about earning a living from blogging is not only the unlimited earning potential it provides, but the freedom it brings – you can set up your blogging business from home and work when you want – it’s hugely rewarding & fun at the same time.

So start blogging & make sure you’re one of the few who makes a six figure living from it.

Using Blogs to Turn Your Web Site into a Traffic Powerhouse

November 1, 2009 by IBI · Leave a Comment

If you use the internet on a regular basis, you are sure to have heard about blogs. Many people use blogs to write about personal topics, feelings, and opinions. But did you know that blogs are also used as a business marketing tool? The interactivity of blogs along with the ease of creation and maintenance makes them an attractive option for online marketing purposes. Developing a regular readership of your blog can help you to achieve several goals. You can build solid customer relationships, inform people about your products and services, and generate links for search engine optimization purposes. Take a look at the many ways that having a blog can benefit your business and you’ll find ways to use blogs almost immediately in your marketing efforts.

Setting Up a Blog

Setting up a blog can be pretty simple if you have the patience and time to learn how to use one. You can choose to design your own blog format on your existing site or you can use a blog from Wordpress or www.blogger.com. Your marketing goals will help you to decide which type of blog to use. Blogs from www.blogger.com are free, but since they’re not a direct component of your web site, you may have to optimize them differently than you would than if you had a blog integrated into your site. If you choose to use your own design and have it be a direct component of your site, you have more control over design and function and you may also be able to market your blog more easily.

Profiting from Blogs

Blogs help you to be profitable because they allow you to market your products and services without using overt sales messages that may cause prospects to stop visiting your site. Instead, you use blogs to communicate information and subtly promote your own products and services while you help others. This creates goodwill for you and your business. There are many opportunities for using blogs to turn a profit. Learning about each of them can help you decide which ones are right for your business.

Blog Articles

Blog articles are a great marketing tool because they allow you to showcase your expertise in your chosen field. You can publish articles on almost any topic related to your business and continue to provide information to your prospects and customers. Blog articles can also be optimized for the search engines by using specific keywords that help people find your web site. If you pick the right keywords, you can start seeing improved traffic results in as little as a few months. You can also integrate your blog with your viral marketing efforts by encouraging people to share your articles with other people.

Keyword-Optimized Blog Postings

One of the great things about blog postings is that they can be as short as 75-100 words and still help you accomplish your internet marketing goals. When you keyword-optimize your blogs, you are using specific keywords to help people find you when they do searches for information. The more specific your keywords are, the better your chances of being found by your target market. Another positive aspect of short blog postings is that they make it easier to maintain your blog from day to day. Instead of having to write 500 or 1000 words every day, you can take as little as a few minutes to dash off a 75 or 100-word paragraph that gives information or lets people know about new products and services.

Linking with Blogs

One-way links are one of the best search engine optimization tools available. One-way links are links that are placed on other web sites that point people to your web site. When you post articles and other items of interest, people may like them enough to post the link on their web sites. The more one-way links you can generate with your blog, the better your chances of improving your search engine rankings and driving more traffic to your web site.

Affiliate Marketing with Blogs

You can also participate in affiliate marketing by using your blog. When you sign up to be a member of an affiliate program, you’ll want to do as much as you can to promote those products and services and generate commissions. Having a blog makes it easy for you to promote the products and services of other companies. You can write a short post about a new service or write reviews of helpful products and services and include your affiliate links. When people visit your blog and become interested in the products and services discussed in your postings, they may become interested enough to click on your affiliate links and make a purchase. As long as the products and services are appropriate for your target market, you can use a number of affiliate links so that you can make money in several different ways.

Creating a Buzz with Blogs

Blogs are part of a technique called buzz marketing. Buzz marketing is when you create a “buzz” about your company and turn prospects into loyal customers. Creating a buzz is simply putting your message in front of your target market and getting them excited about your products and services. There are several ways to create a positive buzz about your business using your blog. If you post interesting items, you’ll generate interest in your blog and encourage people to link to your web site and share your blog with friends. Buzz marketing can also be accomplished by using your blog to promote products and services. The tone of your blog can make or break your buzz marketing efforts. Straightforward information and boring posts will probably turn people away from your site. If you make posts that convey your excitement, enthusiasm, and passion for your products and services, you’ll start to create the same passion and enthusiasm among your prospects. Using this technique can help turn your blog from just another web page into a dynamite marketing tool that keeps visitors coming back again and again.

Google AdSense with Blogs

Google AdSense can also be used with blogs to earn extra money. Google AdSense is a simple and free way to earn income while you are also promoting your products and services with your blog. You can sign up with Google for free and go through a web site review. No obscenity or adult material is allowed in the AdSense program, but most other web sites will qualify. Once you have been approved, you keep posting to your blog. The AdSense program will give you advertisements based on the keywords used in your postings. If you write a post about recipes, you may get ads about cookbooks, restaurants, or food distributors. You can choose where the ads go on your page so your blog maintains its unique look. When people click on the links provided with the ads, you’ll earn a small commission. You can earn even more extra money by putting a Google search box on your blog. When people use this search box, targeted ads will appear in their results. You will get a commission from each ad they click.

Blogads

Blogads is a service that was created to put advertisements on blogs. Advertisers develop their own advertisements, choose blogs to target, and select the amount of time they want their ads to appear. Bloggers can accept or refuse to put the ads on their blogs. The Blogads service gets a percentage of your commission earnings since they host the ads and act as the intermediary between advertisers and bloggers. The more people visit your blog, the better your chances of earning money with this program.

AdBrite

AdBrite is similar to Blogads as the company acts as an intermediary between bloggers and advertisers. With this program, you can place banners, text ads, and vertical ads on your blog. As the blogger, you choose what advertising opportunities are made available to your visitors. Businesses can visit your blog and purchase advertising directly from a link on your page. AdBrite manages the payment process and the relationship between advertisers and bloggers. Like Blogads, the company keeps a percentage of the money you earn for the work they do at moderating the advertising relationship.

Selling Customized Products

To further create a buzz and improve your brand identity, you can sell merchandise from your blog that is customized with your logo or color scheme. When you have a loyal following of readers, your chances of being able to sell this type of merchandise improve greatly. You don’t need to go out and have items printed only to sit in your office unused. You can use one of many companies to print products on demand, as your customers order them. This eliminates the need for inventory and reduces your chances of wasting money on products that don’t sell. You can find some of these companies by doing a search on your favorite search engine.

Whatever methods you choose, blogs can be a great way for you to develop your brand and create a community of loyal customers.

3 Easy Steps to Turn Twitter Into Profitable Targeted Website Traffic

October 29, 2009 by IBI · Leave a Comment

If you are new to marketing and started by jumping in and signing up for programs that guaranteed to make you lots of cash fast, then you likely got frustrated very very rapidly. One thing common with most programs is, they don’t tell you how to get targeted website traffic to your offer.

If you are reading this, you probably already know that without traffic, you have nothing. No program, no offer, no system is worth a dime if you can’t get targeted traffic to the website. Buying traffic from “guaranteed visitor” providers almost always fails to bring what you need.

You likely stumbled upon “free” traffic exchange networks. But all that happened there was you spent hours surfing endlessly to get what? Usually you get nothing. Everyone in there is using the same offer, the same squeeze page, the same everything… Results = nothing!

So let’s get serious. There are free traffic sources, that will get you targeted website traffic. But you must know how to use them. One of my favorites is Twitter. Certainly you have heard of it. A social network of dynamic proportions, and if used correctly, can bring you tons of targeted website traffic.

So here are three quick steps to get you started on the right foot. If you want Twitter to bring you targeted website traffic, you must be set up correctly and use it as a social network:

1. Have a blog (yes, you need a blog related to your niche). Then create a twitter account with a user name very close to your blog name or related directly to your business niche.

2. Use Twitter’s search capability to find targeted followers that would be good for targeted website traffic. Start requesting to follow as many of the people as possible from the search results.

3. Send “tweets” to your followers relating to information posted in your blog. Don’t constantly send them links. Rarely send links. Sales links sent constantly will drive your followers away.

I want to emphasize the importance of these three steps. There is no sense in making your efforts in Twitter overly difficult and frustrating like other so called targeted traffic resources. Your blog, domain name and twitter name are the first step and most critical.

Using the “misguided,” non-niche related names and domains will make everything difficult to remember for your followers. So, don’t ignore this first step. If you have to, start over with a new domain, blod name, and twitter name.

Step 3 is just as vital. I can quite literally guarantee you will loose followers as fast as you make them if you send flurries of sales links. This is a social network. You must be social. Your followers will accept and check your links as long as you have something to say besides “buy this, buy that, buy from me.”

These three simple steps will get you started rapidly in Twitter to finding highly targeted website traffic that will come to your blog or website almost effortlessly. Start now on Twitter and you can bring targeted website traffic to your offer today.
