You probably know by now that emotions are an effective spice for SEO copywriting. They can make even the dullest, most unoriginal product seem positively crucial to the average reader. That’s how they can generate results that are so immediate: the readers spend less time rationalizing and more time trying to get whatever it is you’re selling. However, you can only get such benefits if you manage to use all the right emotions. Here are two of them that you can start trying out for your own content.Greed Unless you’re trying to sell your product to some paragon of virtue, there’s a greedy side to the person that you can exploit. This is where you should be able to promote the benefits of your product. Make it seem like the reader can get benefits that are worth much more than what they’re paying. It’s true that some people are wary of too-good-to-be-true offers, but good enough writing can override that and get them clicking right away. You can also make it look as if the reader will be getting advantages and benefits that nobody else will get. To exploit this little psychological tic, use comparisons against other products and then make it look as if your item is the clear winner.Fear Another very basic emotion, fear can also be effective when used in SEO copywriting. No, you won’t tell your readers that Freddie Kruger will hunt them down unless they buy your stuff. However, you’ll be preying on a very similar set of feelings. ‘Limited time offers’ use fear to encourage people to buy. The company makes people afraid that the good offer won’t be there the next day, which makes them decide quicker. And when you give people that kind of pressure to decide, they often do so with a might-as-well mindset, and thus end up buying. You can even put fear and greed together for even more effective SEO copywriting. Make your offer sound like it’s a limited time deal, and then tell your readers how their neighbors will gain a great advantage over them if they don’t buy right away. It adds pressure on the reader and sales for you.Writing Right Away At this point, you probably already want to try out what emotional writing can do for your sales copy. It’s so easy to start up and doesn’t cost a penny. Thousands are doing it…many of them retirees…and having the time of their lives. How about you?
First, let’s lay to rest the principal myths that are holding you back:
• I don’t have the technical skills or knowledge
• It probably costs more than I can afford
• I’m not a real news junkie
• I don’t have the time to spend adding new items
Hogwash! Anyone with a modicum of intelligence, a bit of curiosity and two or three hours a week can turn out a fine blog and have an enriching experience doing it. And it’s free. With easy-to-follow guides like Google’s www.blogger.com, you can have your blog up and running within an hour. What a great way to keep your mind active by writing after retirement and to develop contacts with others who share your interests.Write on Your Favorite Subject
Blogs are circulated on almost any subject you can imagine. At the end of this article, you will find a listing of several blog directories that will show you the broad cross-section of topics discussed. It will also help you find and view other blogs that deal with the subject you’ve chosen. That way, you can get a better idea of how others are presenting information. Some blogs are simply personal ramblings and diaries. Others tackle serious issues from politics to hobbies. There are no restrictions. It’s up to you.
Today there are in the area of 30 million active blogs worldwide. In addition to personalized diaries, they represent a key source of news, knowledge and opinion. With just the few easy steps, you can create your own unique blog. If you’re unsure of your ability to do this or want your blog to have a more professional appearance, you can choose to hire a professional designer to set it up.

Follow these suggestions and when you become more skilled, you can install an RSS feed and even bookmark some of your posts with sites like Digg or Del.icio.us.

When it comes to having an online Direct Sales business, having a business blog can prove to be beneficial for your established customers and to attract new ones.I have been publishing my own blog for approximately 3 years and have seen my business increase by 50%. Furthermore, I find that I get 25% more re-orders from my established customers because they are visiting my online site.Now you might be asking yourself, what can I write about in regards to my Direct Sales business that my customers will be interested in reading?Here are a few ideas:1. If you sell cosmetics, you can write posts that deal with make-up application, shade selection, proper storage of cosmetics and your sales specials.2. If you sell kitchenware or gourmet food, you can write posts that provide cooking tips, recipes, spice and herb storage, kitchen organization tips and your sales specials.3. Writing articles for your blog is an important part of the entire blog process. Let your readers get to know you first and foremost. Be yourself as you write and your personality will shine through. Engage your readers with your writing and provide the type of information that will benefit your readers.

What should you write about?
Provide basic, real, useful information as well as resources to go along with the information you’re writing. What are your interests? Will it interest your readers as well?. Offer “how to tips” and how it made you successful.

What are you an expert at?
Can your readers benefit from it too? How has it worked for you? In my blog I share articles and links that have helped me and will help others too. Have you had this experience? If so, let your readers know that they too can benefit.

I can’t find anything to say!
There will be times when you are going to encounter writer’s block. It happens to the best of us. Not to worry, look for other interesting articles that are related to your blog theme. Remember to ask for permission to use an article and never alter the content of a guest article. These can help when you’re experiencing writer’s block big time!
