Social Media Basics
Every single business online must sustain itself with traffic, even if the service and goods it sells are good. A good looking and easy to navigate website won’t help a business succeed if no one is visiting it. There are lots of other ways to plug your business, but its more important to deal with web surfers who are just browsing the web for a good or service your site has. Most surfers use social media sites thanks to the fact that they give many options that include multimedia features and communication. These features make it easy to share info. It is straightforward to draw in folks in selected areas by following these tips.
Complete your Profile ( s ) before beginning
All social media sites have control panels. These control panels let users fill in different fields so the visitors get a greater understanding about who they are working with. On these internet sites one should fill the fields out honestly. The fields include personal information, personal interests, and different websites. With an internet site field you can tack on your website and its interests. The interests can then be changed into keywords that may increase your companies exposure. For every social media website you only have to fill in this information once. After filling in your basic details on a social media website you can focus on revising and updating your profile as time rolls by.
Due to the multimedia features on a few of these websites you can load videos and audio content as well as use text and pictures that spice up a profile and increase interest in you and your business. If you are associated with other websites selling their products and services, you can use their resources to add banners, videos and different graphics to your profile. Make sure you add these resources but make it simple because it isn’t straightforward to navigate a cluttered web site.
Join and play a role in groups concerned in social media.
The greatest social media sites have groups created by its users that have hundreds or perhaps thousands of folks inside them. Each group is category and theme specific. Simply join a category that fits your market or interests to help increase traffic to it. Don’t try too hard to put your self out there as if you used to be a spammer, because people generally hate spam advertising and it could get your account shut down.
Assuming you followed the directions above all you must do is increase traffic to your web profile
Create a link to your net profile.
Social media not only increases web site traffic, but also increase increases your conversion. Thanks to the interaction and personalization of the medium. With the use of profile buttons, sharing resources, and widgets offered by the network you allow the visitors to easily interact with you. If these folks are educated and entertained it can help drive up sales.
Social media selling can hugely increase your web reputation when your business first starts out.
Social media marketing also helps in dominating search engines in your local market. To find additional info find how social media marketing is archived.

Every time a visitor clicks an Adsense ad, you get a little bit of money (usually around 30-60 cents). The amount you get for each ad clicked depends on the number of unique visitors you receive on your blog. The more visitors, the more money that can be earned.

Google will then send a check or pay you through Paypal once you’ve made at least $100 from the ads.

It is important to remember that Google will punish you if you click your own ads, or if you ask visitors specifically to click ads. So don’t do that!

How To Subscribe to Twitter RSS Feed

November 10, 2009 by IBI · Leave a Comment

RSS is short for “Really Simple Syndication.” This is a simple online mechanism that permits you to read all your favorite web content on one page. For example, consider a blog that you like. You would like to visit it everyday to see if the blogger has updated it. You can simply subscribe to the RSS feed of that blog and read the blog contents on your RSS feeder.

Subscribing to RSS feeds enables you to find out whether a blog or website has been updated or not without having to visit it. You can read the contents of several blogs and websites from a common page.

Twitter’s RSS Feed

Twitter’s profile page, home page, replies page, and public timeline page have RSS feeds. When you are viewing one of these pages, you might have noticed RSS buttons in the page’s sidebar or browser. If you want to track the contents of the page without having the sign in to Twitter every now and then, you can just subscribe to their RSS feeds.

Twitterfeed

Twitter does not have any application enabling users to update their tweets through an RSS feed. However, smart API users have designed an app called Twitterfeed. This app automatically sends any update you make on your blog to Twitter. All you have to do is enter your blog’s feed url, input the number of times you tweet. Your Twitter friends will be able to view these announcements. You can access Twitterfeed at http://www.twitterfeed.com/

Twitter RSS Feed

Would you like to read the updates on Twitter without logging in? Then you want to subscribe to Twitter’s RSS feed. Check the sidebar of a public profile page on Twitter. You will soon locate the RSS feed button just beneath the pictures of the Twitter users you are following. Now, click on the button and subscribe to it and soon you will be able to read the latest updates on a feed reader without having to log into Twitter.

Your browser’s url field also has the RSS feed button. When you click on this icon, you will be asked to subscribe to this feed. Click on the subscribe button, and you will be able to read all the updates in your feed reader.

Public Twitter Pages

Public Twitter pages, for example a public profile page, can be accessed even by people who do not have Twitter accounts. They simply have to subscribe to the page’s RSS feed and read the updates on their feed reader. In order to respond, however, they need to create a Twitter account

Twitter Profile Branding

November 6, 2009 by IBI · Leave a Comment

Twitter has become one of the most popular social networking sites today, overshadowed only by biggies like Facebook and MySpace. It is no wonder that many people are coming aboard Twitter to promote their business. As Twitter would say it, many entrepreneurs are Tweeting they way to online visibility and hence, success.

If you are on Twitter too, what you really need to have is a good Twitter profile and then you need to brand it. The first part is relatively easy and does not take much time. Everyone knows how to make a profile on a social networking website. Just be true to the details and do not go overboard with the hype or the sales pitch and it would count as a good business profile. There are various customizable options on Twitter itself. You could use these to make your profile look different. And if it is some real difference that you are hankering for, you could go for some patches and downloads that are compatible with Twitter. You could find these by conducting relevant searches on popular search engines.

You need to keep your business profile page different but at the same time subtle. Over-the-top does not work in today’s times, and that applies to Twitter profiles too.

But, what really takes time and effort is the branding part. Branding is where you are making your business visible. Real branding is when your business becomes popular not just on Twitter but even outside it. Remember that branding is not just about the colors that you use and the font that you use; it has more to do with the recall value of your business name itself. When you are on Twitter, Twitter business branding will refer to the way in which your Twitter account name appears and becomes popular.

There is much to be gained through Twitter business branding. A lot of enterprising folk are selling these in the same way they sell domain names. They build a profile page, brand it and when it becomes popular, they sell it for thousands of dollars. This takes some time and effort, but it does give a very rich dividend at the end of the day.

One way to go about Twitter business branding is to first establish a website on Twitter and then use the same look and feel as the corporate website. For example, if you have a business website that’s named http://www.xyz.com, you make a Twitter profile page that’s names http://www.twitter.com/xyz and then give this page the same appearance as the corporate page. This way, you are making your Twitter page an extension of your existing page.

The benefit of this is that people can search your Twitter page with your business brand name. They are able to find things more easily and also the recall value of your brand increases.

But you need to be quick about this. Time is of the essence. If you have a popular business that’s not on Twitter yet, someone might use your brand name on Twitter. This is a clear case of plagiarism, but you can’t help it once it is done. The best thing for you is to realize the importance of Twitter business branding right now and go about it when there is still time.

How to make money on twitter!

November 5, 2009 by IBI · Leave a Comment

I will be as short as possible and right at the point with this! All the tools that you need to use, that I describe here are FREE and you do not need any money at all to do this!

You can make money by using twitter to advertise your products or your affiliate products.

Step1. Decide on what you want to promote! This is very important because you will make your profile or profiles on twitter accordingly to what you want to sell.

Suggestion: You can choose to promote dating sites, health products, porn, moneymaking products etc.

Step2. Create one or more profiles. Upload a suggestive picture for what you are selling or promoting.

Step3. Go to http://www.socialoomph.com/ and register an account. It is a free service that helps you manage multiple accounts on twitter and also allows you to save tweets and publish them at a certain time. It is very helpful.

!!! After registering here, in the menu you will have a button named “accounts”. Push that, select “Add Account” and there put your twitter id and password. Also, do not forget when you configure your options to check “Auto Follow” and “Auto Unfollow” this will automatically follow the ones that follow you and unfollow the ones that unfollow you.

Step4. Download Twitter Blaster. Download the one with “Unlimited License”, the serial key is: PEWG-TCED-IZDU-3E3E. This program is used to automatic follow people.

You will search for people that are on the same niche as you. For example if you are selling money making products you will go to “Find people” on twitter and at the “What account are you looking for?” field, and type :”money”. It will show you twitters that have this word in their name or profile.  So use Twitter Blaster to follow the people who are following them because this way it is more probably to find people that are interested in this kind of products.

!!! On twitter, you are not allowed to follow more than 1000 a day, and after you reached 2000, you will be able to follow only 10% of the number of people following you. (Example: If you have 1000 followers, you will be able to follow 100 people a day).

I will show you how to get rid of some people that you only are following and they are not following you back. However, that on step 7.

Step5. Set an account at www.bit.ly this is a service that shortens your links and also provides real time traffic statistics! Very useful, this way you can see immediately how many clicked on your tweets. You can also use the shorten link service from socialoomph.

Step 6. Setting you tweets.

Go to your account on socialoomph, chose “Tweets” on the menu and then “New Tweet”. There you can set your tweets, save them for future use, assign them to your different accounts of twitter, and set the time when you want them published.

So go through a little brain storming for creating your tweets. Write something catchy that refers to your product or service. And in every tweet put your short link (the link to your page or your referral link shorten with bit.ly)

The more people are following you, the more will see your add!

Step7. So how I was saying there will be people that you are following and they do not follow you back. Therefore, you need to get rid of those people so you can follow more that maybe will follow you. This should be made every 24-48 hours! Go to Twitter karma write your twitter account and password there and hit the big blue button named “Whack!” It takes a while, but do not lose your patience, you can do something else meanwhile. After this site checks your twitter account, it will show you all the people that you follow and those who are following you. Go to the bottom of the page and select “ only following” and you will see the people that you are only following. Then click “check all” and then “bulk unfollow” . This will unfollow all the people that are not following you!

Repeat the following (step 4) and the unfollowing (step 7) every 24-48 hours and in mater of weeks you will have thousands of followers to see your tweets.

With good tweets and a good affiliate program, you can make a lot of money!
