SEO Copywriting – Why Main Aspect in Effective Seo?

November 19, 2009 by IBI · Leave a Comment

Search Engine Copywriting or SEO copywriting is re-writing text on the website page in such a manner that it continues to appeal to the site surfer while being compatible to the Search Engines. Search Engine copywriting is a specialized field that optimizes your site content so that search engines tend to rank your site higher when keywords related to your business are searched. But one thing you must know you don’t get all in life as here can same also, One might question the need for Search Engine copywriting, when they already have the best of best copy on their website. The fact is that sometimes, even the finest written copy by the greatest copywriter might not generate the rankings on the search engines that you had hoped for, despite the fact that you have a great product or service, have spent an amazing amount of time and money in building that site.Interestingly, since Search Engine Copywriting attempts to focus on specifics, it usually improves even human viewers’ appeal and clarity rather than hurting the creatively written copy.Search Engine Copywriting helps in optimizing your site in such a way that; a) It ranks highly on the search engine results with your business specific keywords. b) It succeeds in bringing quality (read targeted) human traffic to your site and generates more potential for sales and c) is intended to bring long-term ‘free’ traffic through ‘natural’ search engine rankings. One thing that can be said about search engine optimization copywriting is that works for suitable websites and for suitable search terms (see below). SEO Copywriting can achieve rankings that tend to do well across the search engines, although no page can do equally well in all engines. Seo Copywritng gives the perfect base to get rank in SE’s. Many websites have a high degree of dependency on the Search Engines like Google to get traffic. Search Engines collect information from websites and match this with the keywords searched by a user looking for relevant information on different topics. If the Search Engine algorithms detect a close match on relevant search terms, your page is likely to be ranked higher. It is therefore important, from a SEO perspective, to have keywords strategically appearing in the text of your site. Search Engine Copywriting as mentioned earlier, is writing for these Search Engines, in order to bring higher rankings, quality human traffic and thus a higher potential for sales. Interestingly, a nicely done SEO copywriting job makes the copy even more appealing to the human visitors.SEO Copywriting Services is main aspect in Optimization because not only it gives benefit you in Search Engines point of view when a visitor come at site good Copywriting holds him for time to reduce the bounce rate for website traffic also. So by using SEO Copywriting we can provide Effective SEO Services. It is sometimes said by practioners of search engine optimization copywriting that the method tends to maintain its rankings as the engines tweak and change their algorithms, whereas other methods produce less stable rankings. This can’t be true. If 2 pages are in the top 10 search results; one getting there by the SEO copywriting method and the other by different search engine optimization techniques, they are both there because they match the engine’s criteria (algorithm) quite well. When the criteria is changed, the match that each of them had is necessarily changed. The matches could become closer to, or further from, the engine’s criteria. Whether each page goes up or down in the results depends on what changes have been made to the engine’s criteria. It is a matter of chance, and not a matter of whether SEO copywriting was used or not.

Bing Versus Google – The Epic Battle For Search Engine Dominance Part 1 of 4

November 19, 2009 by IBI · Leave a Comment

So the first thing I was curious about was what Google PageRank each of the other competitive search engines, or large directories, has. In other words I went out to look at how relevant Google says it is versus Bing and YAHOO. Google gives itself a 10 out of 10 while Bing and YAHOO rated a 9 out of ten. Google clearly thinks it is still the most relevant.

A search of Google for “Search Engine(s)” yielded AltaVista and DogPile at the top, with Google and YAHOO further down the list. To be fare, YAHOO has been considered more of a directory listing site than a search engine so that makes sense. The Bing search yielded similar results.

Next I will do the Hotel search test. Have you ever searched for a hotel near something, like say Cedar Point, and you get ten things that are NOT hotels? Yeah, me too! So frustrating to search for something and NOT get the exact thing you’re looking for. We searched for “Hotels near cedar point” without the quotes, and here’s the results. First, it seemed eerie how similar the Google and Bing results are! I immediately wonder if Bing isn’t just another way to spin the same results you get elsewhere. A new package wrapped around the same engine perhaps. It does not seem as though they have changed anything about their spider or engine algorithm so far. Two things are most pertinent here.

Google had only one actual hotel in the natural search while Bing had none. There weren’t even any hotels advertising, which is also amazing. So, Google won the natural search for this phrase by ONE result. HOWEVER, if you look at the fact that Google also added in their map results, which is ALL hotels, I must say that the Google search, with the Google map inserted, wins this search overwhelmingly! By the way, the Hotel was Comfort Inn. Looks like Comfort Inn is doing some pretty good Web marketing.

How Social Media Marketing Can Build Your Business

November 18, 2009 by IBI · Leave a Comment

In conversation with other marketers, I am often asked how Social Media Marketing is useful to a website. I realize that not everyone understands how social media marketing (SMM) can affect a websites page rank, traffic, sales (the list could go on).
Content is an extremely valuable resource to all web users. By putting it to work for your website you can find yourself as the “Reliable Content Provider” also known as an “Authority” on that topic. You can use social media to give you that authority.
Recently, I implemented just a few of the social media techniques taught my Social Media Rockstars and promoted my website to top ten Google rankings – making it an authority site for a keyword related to my business. Here is my example of how social media marketing affects the natural search listing.
1. First, I had a business website that needed more traffic (what website couldn’t use more traffic). This is already a successful website for a few other keywords, but I wanted to spread the valuable content provided with this website.
2. I then researched a high traffic, low competition keyword that was related to my business website. You only want traffic that is looking or searching for what you can provide them. I do not want to falsely advertise with irrelevant content otherwise all my efforts with social media marketing would be a waste.
3. Next, I researched my market to find out what they were looking for and how I could best provide valuable content to the web searchers looking up that keyword.
4. Then I created multiple forms of content – content is information provided to a website searcher; this can be text, video, or audio. *Remember that relevant content is what you want to create.*
The content was broken down into one short video and 12 articles. 3 of the articles were 1000 words, and the remaining nine articles ranged from 300-500 words. Note: be sure that this content is in someway relating back to the main site that you wanted to increase traffic, sales, or reputation. Whatever your purpose, be sure that this content is helping.
5. Now you need to spread the content across the different social media sites. I added the larger articles to the more popular social media sites.
Of course the video went to you tube. And for the social media sites that allowed me to share a video along with my content I added the video to it.
These 12 articles and one video spread across 13 sites drove traffic back to my businesses website. The key here is to post your content on a site that has a high page rank. This will tell the search engines that the content is coming from a reliable and valuable source. In return, those high ranking sites give your site higher rankings (or a more trusted reputation) because it’s being promoted by a high ranking website. (Sort of like the popular high school student introducing the new kid – you start off on a higher social status).
Don’t stop there! With social media marketing you need to share the content. You can so this by using social bookmarking sites, posting the information to a blog and sharing the article links in a forum. People are always looking for free information. Share your free information with everyone you can. If it’s valuable and relevant to the web users you shared it with they will also bookmark it on social bookmark sites creating viral traffic.
Now if, you remember form the beginning my main purpose was to increase traffic to an already published website. I now have 12 articles, loads of social bookmarks, and a video linking back to my website. If I did my social media marketing correctly this will definitely increase the traffic coming to my business website.
But that’s not my only result: because I have all of these popular authority sites sending traffic my way, the search engines now see that I am providing valuable content. In return for providing this content and sharing it through social media marketing tactics I have boosted the listing placement of my original website. Now in the search results for my targeted keyword I have dominated the top 5 pages with articles, social bookmarks, videos, and more importantly my main business website.
With my recent efforts in social media marketing (with in the last month), I moved my business website from the 21st position in Google to the 8th. On top of that, I hold 14 other positions in the top 30 search results for my targeted keyword. All this and I didn’t use half of the resources available with social media marketing.

How Does Seo Work?

November 18, 2009 by IBI · Leave a Comment

What do you usually do when you wanted something from the internet but don’t know where to find it? The usual thing that an internet savvy such as us do, or even those newbies of the cyber world, when we need something out of the internet is by using our most trusted search engine such as Google, Yahoo!, or MSN. Because of these search engines, internet surfurs (not those dudes on surf boards) are having a much quicker and easier way of searching what they needed by inputing a simple keyword.Because of the huge importance of search engines, many webmasters have come to use it as a means to get more visitors to visit their site. One way of doing this is by optimizing the page to make it more searchable. This form of internet marketing is called SEO or Search Engine Optimization. SEO is a means of increasing and improving the volume and quality of traffic to a website via “Natural” search engine results. By “Natural”, it means “algorithmic” or by a set of instructions set by search engine companies. So what is an SEO?A better question to ask is how to get a website indexed? When a website is new, let’s say an online gift shop, and that it’s not even listed on any SERPs (search engine return pages) yet, the first step that webmasters take is to submit their site to search engines like Google and Yahoo. Now even though its already been submitted or the site has all the gift items that a person could ever had, this still wouldn’t cut it to get the high rank. And because of this, when people search for the term “online gift shop,” they could end up going to inferior Web sites. So here is where SEO is applied.SEO involves a lot of work. It involves editing its content and HTML coding to both increase its relevance to specific keywords and to remove barriers to the indexing activities of search engines. Another is building up link partners with relevant and important websites. And a more recent strategy is by use of social media. Check out more about SEO by visiting an online SEO Philippines site.Though SEO may seem very straight forward, there are several things that webmasters should be looking at. SEO techniques can be classified into two broad categories: techniques that search engines recommend as part of good design, and those techniques of which search engines do not approve. The search engines attempt to minimize the effect of the latter, among them spamdexing. Some industry commentators have classified these methods, and the practitioners who employ them, as either white hat SEO, or black hat SEO. White hats tend to produce results that last a long time, whereas black hats anticipate that their sites may eventually be banned either temporarily or permanently once the search engines discover what they are doing. An SEO technique is considered white hat if it conforms to the search engines’ guidelines and involves no deception. As the search engine guidelines are not written as a series of rules or commandments, this is an important distinction to note. White hat SEO is not just about following guidelines, but is about ensuring that the content a search engine indexes and subsequently ranks is the same content a user will see.White hat advice is generally summed up as creating content for users, not for search engines, and then making that content easily accessible to the spiders, rather than attempting to trick the algorithm from its intended purpose. White hat SEO is in many ways similar to web development that promotes accessibility, although the two are not identical. Learn more about SEO by visting an online SEO Philippines firm.Black hat SEO attempts to improve rankings in ways that are disapproved of by the search engines, or involve deception. One black hat technique uses text that is hidden, either as text colored similar to the background, in an invisible div, or positioned off screen. Another method gives a different page depending on whether the page is being requested by a human visitor or a search engine, a technique known as cloaking.Search engines may penalize sites they discover using black hat methods, either by reducing their rankings or eliminating their listings from their databases altogether. Such penalties can be applied either automatically by the search engines’ algorithms, or by a manual site review. One infamous example was the February 2006 Google removal of both BMW Germany and Ricoh Germany for use of deceptive practices. Both companies, however, quickly apologized, fixed the offending pages, and were restored to Google’s list.Optimizing a website isn’t always as straight forward as it seems, which is why SEO consultants are there to assist webmasters on the task. SEO firms are commonly legitimate that follows the guidelines passed down from search engine companies. They can provide assistance such as by tweaking websites to be user oriented and search engine friendly at the same time. So, using White Hat SEO techniques, you can optimize a website. The growth will be slow, but you will definitely have a long lasting effect and the search engines will give you a high ranking. While optimizing a site, a good article on a single term will be more profitable and will be less likely to be labeled a spam. The need is also to promote the site through proper links to generate traffic and get good rating.

Organic SEO?

November 17, 2009 by IBI · Leave a Comment

Organic SEO is a term used for natural content that lends itself to ranking well in search listings under a specific subject matter or topic. No tricks, keyword stuffing, or other techniques that are considered unnatural. The idea is that if you provide useful content that is of value to the visitor, the search engines will not only give you good rankings now but in the future too.
People spend a lot of time trying to figure out the latest and greatest trick or method to achieve good search engines rankings. There are some important basics to adhere to but in the long run, it’s pretty simple to get good rankings. Provide unique content of value in the given subject area.
Organic or natural search engine optimization is following the guidelines of the major search engines and providing useful information. So how can you do that when there are already 5 or 6 million other resources that do the same thing?
One way is to do it better, provide a unique twist, and the detail necessary to separate you from the crowd. Some of the one-word popular search terms get up to 2 billion results displayed on a typical search. That’s right my friend, you may have billions of competitors for a popular search term.
Dig down a little deeper, just like most searchers will do eventually, and the competition will thin out. Get down to a very specific aspect of the search query, and two things happen. First, you are in a less competitive area and second, you are better targeting your potential visitor.
You don’t want just any visitor, you want someone is has an interest in your particular area of the base search term or subject. It doesn’t matter if you are trying to sell something, provide information, or promote your opinion to influence others. You should always drill down and be specific in your content to reach your intended audience.
Another important part of Organic SEO is following the known guidelines of the search engines. Naming conventions (page, title, even domain) have an impact on rankings. Creating well-designed layouts for both the reader and the search engine bots (bots are software programs that go out and visit the websites) helps too.
Areas on each web page such as navigation menus and internal links need to be in proper format and easy to find. Descriptive phrases or information about the link should be clear and concise. Providing complementary or associated information gives your reader more options to spend more time on your website.
It’s easy to get lost in the weeds when working with search engine optimization. There are few rules, but many guidelines. Too many times people look for an absolute, when there are none to be found. And always remember that the search engines constantly re-evaluate their ranking methods to both eliminate the cheaters and improve the quality of results.
While I can’t use a picture in this article, I can give you an example that may be helpful in better understanding organic SEO. For our example lets use gardening as the subject matter. In our example the website will sell items that gardeners might be interested in buying. There are lots of subcategories in gardening to choose from, so lets go with house plants. And maybe drill down a little further in this area to succulents (plants that thrive with very little water).
Providing information on any and every aspect of our subject of succulents will provide a lot of content to attract the visitors interested in that type of information. You could have sections on growing, identifying, indigenous, and flowering for starters. Each page would have very specific information on each area, presented in a unique method around house plant applications.
The layout and design should have the page names, titles, and links that use descriptive terms to identify the subject matter. Unique content could be personal experience, recommendations in specific placements, etc. Each web page could display items for sale that apply to that subject matter. Or you could also display affiliate links to other websites that pay you a commission on sales.
So you can see from this example that the information provided is the key to attracting visitors with an interest in the subject matter. Search engines will see that too, and serve up your web page when someone searches for your topics. The goal of the search engines it to provide the best possible results to the query. If your information provides that information, you get listed.
There are many parts to the puzzle in search engine optimization. Organic SEO is just one part but if you do it well, you can get some good results in search engine traffic. Providing valuable and unique information on your website will attract visitors via their queries on the popular search engines.

••••••>Organic / Natural Search: Relevance and SEO Ranking

November 15, 2009 by IBI · Leave a Comment

SEO rankings from natural search offer tremendous value to any website. Considering that nearly 70% of traffic to most sites are a result of search engines or contingent on the visitor stemming from a site they found in a search engine to reach your page.

Acquiring natural search rankings are a cost-effective means to reach a broader audience to sell products, services or information online. By understanding the premise of SEO and how to apply fundamental aspects of website optimization, you can dial in search results over time through content, relevance and the strength of your pages continuity by sending the appropriate signals to search engines.

With millions of new websites being added to the web daily, the sheer number of aggregate pages on any topic is expanding exponentially. So, how does Google or other search engines deal with this influx of information while still maintaining relevance and order in some sense of the word?, they limit the indexing of each keyword or shingle to 1000 search results.

What this means is, despite the number of pages for any given search, you are dealing with a set number of websites that all have some affinity with the topic, keyword or reputation of the search term you are competing for.

Natural SEO is not always about trying to fix a site to rank for specific keywords, it’s more about building a website with intention to devour a particular niche. It takes time to create content, time to develop internal and external links, time for search engines to assess, index and grade each page algorithmically as well as in context to the entire site, the sites linking to you and the impact and reach your website has on the web.

Time is the greatest commodity for natural search and SEO rankings are contingent on the volume of information for any given shingle (keyword, key phrase or group of related words). What this means is, the site with the highest relevance for any given keyword or key phrase (based on proximity, domain authority, link weight, relevance and hundreds of other metrics) is dynamically buoyant and rises to the top of SEO rankings easily.

The thing to consider is (1) are you targeting the right types of keywords (2) do you have enough supporting information on the topic within your website (3) is your website groomed to overcome the other 1000 search results for any given related query or nebulous and sparse when it comes to topical relevance?

For example, if you are on page 7 for a keyword, then you have some relevance for those keywords, but not enough link weight to push it past the other 60+ pages in front of you. However, by going back to look for relevant places from within your own site to link to your champion/landing page, making adjusting titles or tags and creating additional content on the topic you can shift this ranking factor without even venturing outside of your own site.

Most organic rankings are not hindered from off page factors/links (at least not as much as you would like to think) it really boils down to honing the on page factors under your control first in order to be considered a candidate for relevance by the search engines.

Relevance means quality content, coherent internal links and then quite naturally a proper amount of deep links to each page produces a synergy that produces the elevation in natural search results.

Organic Search V/s Paid Search

November 13, 2009 by IBI · Leave a Comment

Search Engine Optimization is the process of improving the volume and traffic to a website through search engines. Amongst the millions of the websites it is highly difficult to find the desired or particular website for net users. Here comes the search engine optimization process which strategically improves the volume and traffic to websites. This process involves different methods like organic or algorithmic search, paid search and Community organic search etc. Community organic search engines include Yahoo Answers which provide answers researched by community members.

Typically, the higher a website’s page rank, the more visitors it will receive from the search engine. The earlier appearance of the website among the search results definitely brings more traffic to particular website. SEO can also target different kinds of searches like image search, local search and industry-specific vertical search engines.

Organic search is the concept of pure or crawler-based search. Organic illustrates a search that returns results by classifying the pages based on content and keyword relevancy. Sometimes this is called pure or natural search as it is supposed to be untainted by commercial payments.

The primary focus of the organic search is to return fast, extremely relevant results, based on the content of the page, relevancy of the links indicating to that particular page and other objective search standards. Sponsored links have always been obviously classified from the organic search results on search engines. Organic search engines are thus found where users are seeking a direct answer to a particular query and are prepared to either wait or even pay for the response.

Paid search is a type of contextual advertising where Website owners pay an advertising fee, usually based on clicks or ad views to get their website search results shown in top placement on search engine result pages. The listings ranked position is based on who paid the most money to appear at the top position of the top ranked pages on search engines.

CPM (cost per impression), PPC (pay per click), and CPC (cost per click) are the mostly followed paid search engine services today. Some search engines will make it easy for users to find out which search results are natural and which are paid or sponsored, where as others will combine the results making it more confusing for users to differentiate the paid search results and natural search results.

Organic search vs Paid search:

Both of the search processes have several advantages and disadvantages. Position on the page is more visible with organic search while it is less visible on right side, except ads that appear above natural or organic search results. Organic search is possible at low cost whereas paid search cost varies from moderate to high. Traffic volume often depends upon the position of various keywords with natural search. But with paid search, traffic volume is possibly high for the important keywords.

Search Engines provide businesses the most effective way to pro mote their sites, differentiate themselves to potential customers, and become more accessible to their target audience. 85% of net users rely on search engines to find new sites. The web has over one billion sites and getting noticed by a search engine is a significant challenge

SEO services applies different kind of marketing strategies to create more quality traffic to your web site. Depending on the requirements the strategy is chosen, which fits best to achieve the goal.
