Great Tricks To Enhance Marketing Through Search Engines

January 24, 2010 by IBI · Leave a Comment

Online marketing has become common these days and all marketers are doing businesses through internet. Website is the foremost thing that you will be required to get started with web business. Making a site is no tough task, but grabbing attention of the people to your website is a tedious task. There are innumerable websites on the web and so gaining the attention from the traffic is really a difficult thing to do. Also, if no one clicks on your website then it is useless. Therefore you need some tricks through which you can attract viewers to your site. Search engines act as an important component when it comes to driving the attention of the traffic. So it is very vital that you are aware about how to utilize search engine successfully. Keywords are one important part of SEO. Making use of the keywords the users on the web will be easily able to reach out to the websites as it would be present on the search engines. Thus it is important that you make of key terms which attract the crowd towards your website. Remember that you make use of effective key words in your web pages because that is what is preferred by the search engines. Make use of key words that are used commonly in the title. It is required that you should make use of certain tricks. Make use of plural terms and not the singular ones. Main reason for this is that the plural key words are commonly searched by the users in order to get good page ranking for your site. The fact is that search engines give importance to pages that have most commonly appearing keywords. Again, while preparing your keywords, you need to write plurals instead of singular because people tend to write plurals of any word while making any search on the net. It is observed that visitors look out for ‘jobs’ instead of ‘job’. A very minute difference like using singular instead of plural can create very high chances of you losing the visitor as they will not get your site in search results. Using combination of key phrases is a better option rather than just using single key word. Combination of words works and gives far better result than single word. It is very necessary that you must be confident about your keywords. The key phrases used must be exact and appropriate. It is also necessary for you to update your site from time to time. As a expert, you should not fail to look this part of SEO. Updating is necessary in every 4-5 months. Best way of updating your website is to add articles regularly. Put in some latest and fresh information and amend the keywords which is well-liked and most appropriate.Always keep in mind to add links to your main domain so attract users to your product pages. The fact behind this is that the main domain does not include and details of the products or services which are marketed by you. You should always remember that the links which you add must be quite simple. It is also required that use of any kind of graphics or buttons must not be made while posting links. The reason is that the internet marketing business does not appreciate it. Thus, instead of using buttons for any key phrases; you can make use of text link to link it to that page. Following these techniques, you can successfully do search engine optimization to attract users to your site through popular search engines.

I Get My Articles On Google Page One Part 3

November 27, 2009 by IBI · Leave a Comment

Internet marketing pros know the steps to take to get their offers on page one of Google. Notice that I said steps, I didn’t say secrets or tricks or gimmicks or anything like that. If you want to build a bookshelf from IKEA, all you have to do is read the instructions.  If you follow them exactly, you’ll end up with a bookshelf that looks like the picture on the box.  Anyone can do the same thing and that’s how it is with internet marketing.

There are marketers who make six or seven figure incomes on the internet. There’s no trick to it.   If you can use a computer, you can replicate the steps it takes to get there. So why isn’t everyone who tries internet marketing making six or seven figure incomes?

It’s because they either don’t know the steps or they are not willing to take them. If you are one of the people who aren’t willing to do what it takes, all I can say is good luck in your next endeavor. Maybe that won’t take any work either. To those who don’t know the steps I’ll say, you’re just like me! I should say say you’re just like I was a year ago at this time.

Since then I’ve studied the pros and learned how to get my promotions on page one of Google. That’s the key. If you are on page one, 80% of people will find you. Only 20% move on to page two.

Parts 1 & 2 of this series covered keywords and back links. In part 3 we’ll take a look at blogging can help in getting our promotions onto page one. (Notice I use the word promotions. A promotion might be an article, a web site, a Squidoo lens, etc. Whichever it is, it’s promoting something you’re trying to sell)

Google gives weight to blogs because they are written by real people. There are hundreds, even thousands of blog sites to which you can contribute but the largest are blogspot.com and Wordpress.com. These are generic and cover topics that range from A to Z. It’s free to start a blog on one of these or any of a thousand others.

What you will do with your blog is write about something related to your promotion and include a link to one of your articles that in turn links to your promotion. Your article will rank higher now and offer a more powerful back link for your promotion. Then, in your promotion, make a link back to your blog. The cycle is article links to promotion, promotion links to blog, blog links to article.

This way, you will have all one-way links. Google likes one-way links more than two-way or reciprocal links.  The more articles and blogs you have, the more back links will be pointing to your promotion and the higher your page rank will be.

I hope these tips are helpful.  The internet market is so vast and so many transactions take place every day that there’s plenty of business and plenty of money to be made for all of us.  Learn how to get your fair share.

To learn about an easy to follow, step by step guide to to getting your articles on page one, read How To Get On Google Page One.

If you are serious about marketing via the internet, you’ve got to get your product on page one of Google. Are your articles on Google’s first page? Get ready to learn how to get your articles on page one!

Aggressive Affiliates Review

Aggressive Affiliates Review
The assessment that goes deep into what Aggressive Affiliates is and is not!
What Exactly is Aggressive Affiliates And Can It Benefit You?
If you are looking to learn more about the good and bad points of Aggressive Affiliates, please carry on reading while I will try my best to provide my best objective assessment.
What is Aggressive Affiliate About?
Aggressive Affiliates is a program that consists of a bundle of indepth ways to benefit from the content network and getting great quality scores. It also teaches the use of blogs intended for marketing using ethical tactics, unlike those fake blogs that are getting slapped out there.
The program covers a bundle of social media and web 2.0 properties that are used for marketing and generating affiliate sales and it is most suited for anybody who is geared up to get paid serious profits using both free of charge traffic and paid traffic on the content network.
How Does Aggressive Affiliates work?
Well, because Peter Parks loves to keep things straightforward, he will teach you how to target niches and generate profits with CPA offers, affiliate products or even your own products. Free traffic using web 2.0 properties so as to rank high on the organic search engine and paid traffic on the content network with superior quality scores and clicks as low as 1-2 cents for every click.
Most marketers would want to stay away from the content network since they consider it as weak traffic and low paying traffic that doesn’t work. According to Peter Parks, the reason is that these marketers are not exactly aware of the valuable benefit of pay per click marketing.
Inside the Aggressive Affiliates, they will cover why the content network is phenomenal and how you can earn good profits from it. One of the reasons they profit so much from the content network is simply because the content network is the single biggest syndicated network and the main platform from Google to seriously churn out a great commission with.
My Conclusion
Aggressive Affiliate is an excellent coaching course intended for both newbies and more skilled marketers. The methods Peter Parks and Eric Rockefeller teach inside the program are very effective and with Peter’s simple to understand coaching methods and videos, you will be able to identify profitable niche markets and make a lot of money if you are committed to put in the effort to render it successful.
This is not an easy, lazy, quick acquire rich program. Aggressive Affiliates offers a solid tactic to earning nice commissions but it requires work and effort. I would propose it to individuals who are serious about making profits online the proven method.

Adsense Confessions, How to Earn Google Adsense Income

November 21, 2009 by IBI · Leave a Comment

When you load a site into your browser and see small advertisement blocks here and there with “Ads by Google” appearing nearby, you probably know that when you click on them, someone receives a credit for payment under Google’s AdSense program. AdSense is a pay-per-click (PPC) scheme that benefits marketers, buyers and the webmasters who display advertisements on their sites. By bringing together a buyer looking for specific products or services (by entering a term or terms in a search engine), sellers of those products and services and encouraging webmasters to provide the medium by which this happens (their sites), everyone in the equation benefits. It’s a truly win-win situation and a brilliant concept.Because I use AdSense advertisements on my site, but have not yet optimized my income from them, I have been researching ways to do so. I knew that some people were making quite reasonable supplementary incomes from Google AdSense and that it has the potential to add more significantly to my income if I could find out how it’s done. Like everyone else, I want a bigger share of the pie.During my research I found Codrut Turcann’s ebook, “AdSense Confessions” which promises to tell you … How 9 Average People, Not Gurus, Cracked The Code To AdSense Income Boosting And How You Can Copy Their Money-Making Tactics! Plus… Discover How You Can Quickly Catapult Your AdSense Earnings By 450% Or More Using A Powerful, No-Fail Marketing Arsenal. What’s in this ebook?”AdSense Confessions” consists of 101 pages detailing the success stories of nine people who have, to varying degrees, mastered AdSense sufficiently to earn regular incomes. Each from a different perspective tells his or her story about how they came to AdSense, tested, retested and eventually mastered AdSense to realize a greater income. One or two are still working on improvements to the AdSense aspects of their businesses to earn even greaterlevels of income. As everyone knows, duplicating the models successfully used by others is a shortcut to success … medical practitioners use it daily, so do marketers. There is every reason to believe that if you follow the proven methods used by the nine people whose stories are told in this ebook, you will have a similar degree of success. Interestingly, the nine contributors do not only discuss AdSense, they also discuss matters such as search engine optimization, keywords, web design, link management etc, all of which is good advice and makes this ebook even more useful. Evidence of earnings is provided as are numbers of examples of sites with AdSense adverts showing successful placement of AdSense ads.Although most of the content confirms what I already know, for someone new to Internet marketing, web design or using Google AdSense, Codrut’s ebook will save them a lot of time and effort in getting to the income earning stage. Is it value for money? The price for “AdSense Secrets” is $69.97 USD and it is downloaded almost immediately. Included in that price are the following bonuses: Ebook, “101 Quick Tips to Increase AdSense Income in 30 Days” FREE Profit-Pulling AdSense Site Critique and One-On-One Support By E-mail – Anytime You Need Help or Have An AdSense-Related Problem! “AdSense Profit Shortcuts” – Monthly eLetter A mystery bonus (value not known) Value for money is a personal thing depending on so many variables that I can’t answer that question for you. What I can say is that I find $69.97 quite a steep price (especially given the Australian exchange rate which knocks me about). However, if you can use the bonuses, especially bonus two of a free AdSense critique, it could represent value for money. The free critique and one-on-one support could be worth thousands … if you make sure you use it.Also, there are numbers of links within the text that lead to free utility programs etc that add value to your purchase. And the Negatives? In my opinion the only negatives are that the ebook isn’t as professionally presented as it could be (given the price) and that the downloading process is convoluted. Having said that, if you are looking for content and don’t care if the format and layout is ordinary, then presentation of the ebook won’t matter. As for the downloading, it involves completing a subscription box and sending an email from a post-payment page to retrieve a link to another page from which the downloads can be made. But before the final download step, one has to confirm the email details. All of this could be prevented if the download page presented immediately after purchase.ConclusionIf you want to learn how to establish or increase an AdSense PPC stream of income, this book certainly delivers the goods and will give you a good start. There are dozens of things you can do today to generate income almost immediately. Add to that the bonuses, especially the one-on-one support and you will be well on your way to joining those of us who earn income from AdSense for doing nothing but placing links on our sites.I’ve already begun to improve some of my AdSense strategies and will be monitoring income increase throughout the next three months at which time I’ll write an article detailing my findings. Watch this space!

Using Product Recommendations to Increase Your Bottom Line

November 20, 2009 by IBI · Leave a Comment

In affiliate marketing, there are many ways in which you can increase your earnings and maintain the account that you have worked so hard for already. Most of the techniques and tactics can be learned easily. No need to go anywhere and any further. They are available online, 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. One of the more important ways of increasing affiliate marketing bottom line and sale is through the use of product recommendations. Many marketers know that this is one of the most effective ways in promoting a certain product. If the customers or visitors trust you enough, then they will definitely trust your recommendations. Be very careful in using this approach, though. If you start promoting everything by recommendation, your credibility will actually wear thin. This is seen especially when recommendations are seemingly exaggerated and without much merit. Do not be afraid to mention things that you do not like about a given product or service. Rather than lose any points for you, this will make your recommendation more realistic and will tend to increase your credibility. Furthermore, if your visitors are really interested in what you are offering, they will be more than delighted to learn what is good about the product, what is not so good, and how the product will benefit them. When you are recommending a certain product, there are some things to remember on how to make it work effectively and for your advantage.Sound like the true and leading expert in your field. Remember this simple equation: Price resistance diminishes in direct proportion to trust. If your visitors feel and believe that you are an expert in your niche, they are more inclined to making that purchase. On the other hand, if you are not exuding any confidence and self-assurance in endorsing your products, they will probably feel that same way and will go in search of another product or service which is more believable. How do you establish this aura of expertise? By offering unique and new solutions they would not get anywhere else. Show proof that what you are promoting works as promised. Display prominent testimonials and endorsements from respected and known personalities, in related fields of course. Avoid hype at all costs. It is better to sound low key and confident, than to scream and seek attention. Besides, you would not want to sound unprofessional and have that thinking stick to your potential customers and clients, now would you? Best to appear cool and self-assured at the same time. And remember; prospects are not stupid. They are actually turning to experts and may already know the things that you know. If you back up your claims with hard facts and data, they would gladly put down hundreds, or even thousands worth of money to your promotions. But if you don’t, they are smart enough to try and look at your competitors and what they are offering. While recommending a product, it is also important that you give out promotional freebies. People are already familiar with the concept of offering freebies to promoting your won products. But very few people do this to promote affiliate products. Try to offer freebies that can promote or even have some information about your products or services. Before you add recommendations to you product, it is given that you should try and test the product and support. Do not run the risk of promoting junk products and services. Just think how long it took you to build credibility and trust among your visitors. All that will take to destroy it is one big mistake on your part.If possible, have recommendations of products that you have 100% confidence in. Test the product support before you begin to ensure that the people you are referring it to would not be left high and dry when a problem suddenly arouse. Have a look at your affiliate market and look at the strategies you are using. You may not be focusing on the recommendations that your products need to have. You plan of action is sometimes not the only thing that is making your program works.Try product recommendation and be among those few who have proven its worth.

Is Google the Best Place to Advertise Your Affiliate Products?

November 20, 2009 by IBI · Leave a Comment

You have a good affiliate product to market, and you want to use pay-per-click (PPC) ads. Good idea or bad? Well, it can be a good idea so long as you control you spending, and track your ads. And the next question is whether Google is the best place to advertise your affiliate products.
Where should you start? Google Adwords, which can be rather costly these days, or Yahoo Search Marketing, or MSN? Or would you be better with some of the minor PPC search engines?
Well, my experience is that the minor search engines generally have unresponsive viewers searching for free stuff. This is also the experience of at least two seasoned marketers I know. In other words, you do not get so many clicks, and few are buyers. Certainly, Google is a better place than these to advertise your affiliate products
Google is good but you could pay too much
Among the others, Google Adwords definitely brings results, but so does MSN, although it has a poor website interface which is a pain to use, and which is usually slow. That is worth putting up with, though, because MSN’s surfers are responsive, and you will pay less per click than with Google. You will not get so many clicks, though, simply because many more people uses Google than MSN.
I have not found Yahoo Search Marketing (that used to be Overture) less profitable than the other two, but that might depend on the product. It is worth trying all three, and you will find that you can get a $50 free start with Yahoo Search Marketing. But be warned: they will still make you deposit some cash with them, but hey, $50 advertising for free cannot be bad.
I would recommend that you use MSN and Google Adwords to advertise your affiliate products.
Whatever you do, though, make sure you set a daily limit, a limit on each bid, and put in a finish date for the ad. Ending the ad project can be a nuisance because if it is profitable, you have to start it all over again with some PPC search engines.
On the other hand, it stops you getting a huge bill for ads you had forgotten where running. A daily limit of $30 does not seem much, but that is $900 a month, and if you have five or six ads for affiliate products running you can soon spend a lot of money if you forget what is going on.

Social Media Marketing- The 10 Social Media Laws of Facebook

November 20, 2009 by IBI · Leave a Comment

Where have YOU been?

Unless you have lived in a cave the last 4 years, you have probably heard of this. It is a rocking hot social networking site that seems to be almost everywhere today. It is on the news. It is on the radio. It is on the minds of millions of folks a day.

It is called “Facebook” and over 175 million people are active on this site.

Ok- I know that you may be asking,” A LAW about facebook?” Yes, 10 of them for marketing and business success in what you do. I am a marketer and have been for 20 years. I built a training and consulting business that does business in over 20 countries, because of social media and the internet. And there are marketing laws that all marketers and business professionals must follow if they are going to have Success in the marketplace online.

It is the same for Facebook.

Lets cover them briefly:

1) The Law of Visibility on Facebook.

You MUST be visible on facebook of you are going to get your message out. You must spend time on facebook and get to know people. You must put yourself together a “facebook blueprint” and work it. How many hours a week are you going to be seen on FB? How many times are you going to befriend someone this week? How many times are you going to upload photos this week? All of these things put you in the ‘Visibility Zone” on facebook, and on the radar as far as people on facebook. Be SEEN and be THERE on a daily basis.

2) The Law of the Powerful Facebook Profile.

Why would people want to get to know you? One of the first things they check out is your facebook profile. What does it say- but better yet- what does it DO? Does it make people curious and want to get to know you? Does it make them think? Does it make them smile? Does it make them see that you have Value for their life and can help change it?

Powerful facebook profiles are NOT based on what is said in your profile- but what it DOES.

Does it direct them to DO something? Does it tell them you are person they MUST know? Or someone that has a nice picture and a nice profile- with no magnetism? Put yourself OUT THERE and tell the world WHY they need you as a friend, and get them to take action towards YOU.

3) The Law of the Facebook WALL.

You MUST use your Wall to market or message. many folks regard their Wall as a communication utility like email. It is not that. You already have a facebook email. The Wall is for you to BUILD- BRICK BY BRICK- MESSAGE BY MESSAGE- NOTE BY NOTE- VIDEO BY VIDEO- your Brand on Facebook. Every time something happens with you- it goes on your Wall. Don’t stare at the wall- CLIMB THE SUCKER and make your message the PEAK of the page- and keep yourself out there with the Wall. And answer the messages on your Wall. Thank people for sharing with you their visit or message. This will show up on THEIR wall. This will set you apart from most on facebook. The Wall is simply a BILLBOARD of what you are doing and your friends are doing on Facebook. Use it often and wisely.

4) The Law of Your Facebook Network.

You are part of a local facebook network and you have access to that network to befriend them. I live in Birmingham Michigan, and the network i am a part of is the Detroit network. There are 640,926 people in my network that I could potentially MEET LIVE in a local place and get to know them and connect with them. You have local folks as well. Where do you find your network?

Click on “settings” and then click on “network.” You will find it there. This is a GOLD MINE of people in your local area to CONNECT and Construct new trust bridges that may lead to business down the road.

5) The Law of the Facebook Notifications.

This is an overlooked and rarely talked about utility. Notifications are part of your “facebook email system.” Go to “email” at the top of your Facebook profile page, and then click on “notifications.”This is list of who is thinking about you, talking about you, including you in tags, and generally is pointing to you. This is a GOLD MINE of people that have PROVEN they are behind you and willing to make you a part of their Facebook experience. Pay attention to the facebook notifications. Thank them for their thoughts of you on their Wall and let them know you appreciate it. Include them as well on your tags and other activity on facebook. The notifications are GOLD and is a prospecting Vault of Leads. And make sure you stay CONNECTED to them.

6) The Law of Facebook Link Love.

The Link application on Facebook is a HOT commodity. It allows you to post a link that you like and then sends it out on the news feed that is on your home page. It picks up the image that you want on the link page, and allows it to be a LIVE link. Send out other people’s LINK and givem some LOVE. Do NOT just send out your own links. Let others do that. Find interesting links of others and send them out.

WHY? EXPOSURE for you. You will be given credit for the link. People LOVE link love. If you send out a LOT of other people’s links on facebook, they will start sending out YOUR links. Been there done that.

7) The Law of Facebook Groups.

Join groups. Join a LOT of Groups. Start your OWN groups. The join MORE groups. Why? Here are a few reasons: EXPOSURE. CONNECTION to other Group members. AUTHORITY. Start your own and be a Leader. INCREASE YOUR REACH.Groups extend your reach into Facebook. MULTIPLIED PROSPECTS. There are more people in a group — then on a profile page.

Duh. Build a list in your own group and then you can become an admin and email messages to them. Make them messages of VALUE and interest.

8) The Law of Facebook Events.

Attend events. Attend more Events. And then attend many MORE events. Why? It allows you to leave a message on the events page wall, and create exposure. I attend at least 2 facebook events every week- to learn- and to network. Events can be found on the new Facebook page in the upper right under “Upcoming”-these are the events that are upcoming. There is one unique twist: You have birthdays under the “upcoming” tag- and you can send presents to folks. THIS will get their attention as it shows up on their wall and the news feed as well. Attend as many events as you can. make them worth your while- learn and grow from them. BUT’always leave a RSVP message about attending or not- with an encouraging message. This will show your professionalism, and caring.

Event UP! This will do you well on facebook. Put the term “events” in the search box, and it will find every event that is going on in your network of friends. It is a GOLD MINE of new possibilties of business. Become a master of events!

9) The Law of Facebook Multimedia- Videos and Photos.

People LOVE photos and videos. They are the most looked at and watched pages on facebook. Make some videos and upload them. Upload some photographs. Not only will the be seen on your wall and the facebook news feed, but also will allow you to “tag” others on these. This means that you can pick out people you have befriended and let them know you are thinking of them. And when you tag someone- it shows up on THEIR wall. Not isn’t THAT cool? It is called EXPOSURE!

10) The Law of the Facebook NEWS FEED.

This is the big kahuna of Exposure on facebook. This gets you out to ALL of your friends and creates a massive exposure vehicle that can keep your brand in front and recognized. You also will be many times on the “featured” part of the new news feed on the right. This gives you HUGE exposure. Whatever you do, like change your status, upload a video, write and publish a note, or just comment on another person’s message on the facebook news feed- it SHOWS UP in the news Feed. Be seen- and be seen often if you are trying to brand yourself on facebook.

Yes, you need to establish relationships, and build community. But if you are going to MARKET on facebook-then you need to at least get a guideline of what and how to do it. The 10 Social Media Laws of Facebook hopefully gave you some idea in your social media marketing.

You CAN Make Money Selling Affiliate Products

November 20, 2009 by IBI · Leave a Comment

There has been a lot of talk on the web amongst marketers on how to make money selling other people’s products.
Who wants to spend the time and money creating your own when you don’t need to?
This article is about selling affiliate products and doing it the right way.
First, you need to find the ‘right’ affiliate product. One that is in a hot niche market. Say weight loss. But it’s very crowded you say? Right, that means it also is very lucrative. People don’t spend time and money on a market that isn’t returning a healthy profit.
The easiest way to find a hot product in weight loss would be to go to www.clickbank.com and search the marketplace. There are a couple of factors to keep in mind. One, look for a product that is popular and has a high percentage of affiliate sales. What that means is the product is selling well and most sales are created by affiliates indicating that the product owner has a good sales page and isn’t competing heavily with his affiliates.
Secondly, there are two web sites, one free and the other offers a free trial that gives you a ton of metrics or statistics. www.cbtrends.com and www.cbengine.com are excellent places to look for that golden affiliate program.
They offer insider info as well as Popularity Rank, Gravity, Earned Per Sale, Percent Per Sale, Commission, or Referred values. Armed with this inside knowledge you are ready to find the ‘perfect’ product to promote.
Next, create a landing page or review page. It doesn’t have to be more than a couple of paragraphs but should offer something to make you stand out from the rest of the affiliates. A time-limited offer or a bonus of value are two ways to separate yourself and help the prospect to click on your link rather than someone else’s.
There are many ways to start getting sales. Free ways and those that cost some bucks.
A few of the free ways are blogs, forum posting, article writing and sending an email to your list.
Those that are worthy of your hard earned money are:
Newsletters and pay per click search engines.
Make sure you check out the newsletter first. Subscribe and see how many ads are in each issue and ask what the wait time is for your solo ad. Only use solo ads.
The top ppc’s are of course, Google Adwords and Yahoo Search Marketing (formerly Overture). You can start to get hits or clicks to your landing page with a 15 minutes with adwords. Make sure you understand how to find keywords (use only the most direct keywords to test your campaign). Also how to write attention getting headlines and since you only get 25 characters per line, how to get people to click through.
These are the easiest and fastest ways to start making money with other people’s products.

Making Money Online: Choose a Copywriter To Help You Become Successful On The Internet

November 20, 2009 by IBI · Leave a Comment

Hiring a copywriter who will help you reach the success you want in your online business can be a challenge, even to experienced marketers. You will want someone who understands what works online and who will have a system for learning what works in your own business. As a copywriter,
I have worked with clients from diverse industries, ranging in experience from newbie to veteran. Here are the recommendations I would make to anyone who is considering hiring a copywriter to attract more clients and revenue in their Internet business.
(1) Look for a copywriter who has a system in place to work with new clients, such as a questionnaire or a diagnostic. This step is important because many talented copywriters get bogged down in the early phases of a project. And most clients need structure to be sure they contribute to the process.
(2) Choose your copywriter by working together on a small project, such as a diagnostic or website critique. You’ll get a sense of how she thinks or how he interprets your ideas. Proposals and free consultations rarely are useful to predict a productive working relationship.
(3) Get ready to help your copywriter do a great job for you. Some clients pay a copywriter to research their target markets. Others want a “hired gun” who just comes in and writes. If you just need copywriting, be prepared to answer detailed questions about what your market wants and will buy.
(4) Organize your information into one package to send your copywriter. Once your copywriter starts writing, even a small change can have a huge impact. Your copywriter may be unable to incorporate your new ideas or you may be charged for additional work.
(5) Create a web design that supports your copywriter’s words. Even the most brilliant copy won’t work if you write your content in italics or center your body copy. Choosing blue type on a blue background will make sure nobody reads the words you paid for.
(6) Recognize that your copywriters will be targeting your audience, who may be quite different from you, your family and your personal friends. Even clients who know you well will not respond to the copy the same way a prospect would.
Live with the copy, make sure the facts are accurate and then go live. It’s tempting to spend weeks and months trying to make everything perfect. But you won’t know what really works till you test the responses of your website visitors.
(7) Implement your project quickly. Every day you delay, you leave money on the table. Often my clients get stalled because of delays by the web designer or another member of the team. Most online copywriters know reliable, competent designers and developers. They can help you see your project to the finish line.
