Blogging Dollars in 7 Hours or Less

Need to make money fast, but you don’t want to spend a single cent to establish an online business? Fret not, dear friend. You could actually start earning from the web with zero capital, zero obligations and zero risks! All these can be accomplished within 24 hours! Read on and I’ll show you how.
Hour 1
Try to find a profitable niche. Niches are highly specialized segments of a market where the demand is high and the supplies are low. There are few competitions in a niche, allowing you more opportunity to establish your online presence.
Think of a market that you could cater to. Then narrow it down by enumerating its subcategories. The more you are able to reduce the subject, the higher the profitability will be. For example, the general market you thought of is about dogs. A subcategory of this would be about Chihuahuas. A further subcategory would be about Chihuahua grooming.
Hour 2
Once you have found your niche, run a search at Overture keyword suggestion tool. The results will show how many searches were made for that subject. The more searches there are, the higher the demand is for that topic.
Run a similar search of the same subject in any of the search engines on the net. The results would reveal your competition. Naturally, you would want a subject that has less competition. This would mean that you’re looking for one that would produce few results in your searches.
Hour 3
Once you’ve found a lucrative niche, it’s time to look for its relevant keywords. Run a search of the topic at https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordSandbox to get a list of related keywords and keyphrases. Keep a copy of this list.
Hour 4
Open an account with a free blogging site. Or, if you already have your own website, download the Wordpress software at www.wordpress.com . It’s free. And Wordpress can be easily integrated with any website.
Set up your account. Fiddle with the controls. You’ll discover that using a blog is as easy as writing down your thoughts and clicking on a button to publish them for all the online world to see.
Hour 5
Enroll in any affiliate program of your choice. You could choose more than one, of course. Just make sure that such program is offering some products that cater to the niche you have chosen. Try to find a program that offers highly sellable products and generous commissions. Don’t settle for a commission rate of less than 20%. Look for something that would give you at least 40% for every successful sale you would be able to refer. A good place to start is www.clickbank.com , but eventually you would want to “graduate” to something grander. But for your initial foray, ClickBank would suffice.
After enrollment, you would be able to immediately choose the products you want to pre-sell. Get the affiliate links for them. Do not lose these affiliate links.
Hour 6
It’s time to put that blog to good use! The premise heart of this budget-friendly strategy is your blog. Blogs are excellent and cost-effective alternatives to websites. Search engines love them, and they have their own linking network as well. Also, they are easily updatable, and search engine spiders love consistently updated content.
Write an interesting piece about the niche you have chosen. It may be a personal review of one of your affiliate products, or your views on the niche in general.
The trick here lies in being able to strategically insert your affiliate links in your blog entries. It must be subtle. You won’t want your blog to look like a blatant sales page. Your entries should be highly informative, first and foremost. Content is still king, and it is what will drive visitors to your site.
Hour 7
Go to www.pingomatic.com . Ping the blog directories and the search engines that can be found there. This would inform their spiders that your content has been updated, and they will check it out come the next relevant query. What does this mean? Fast indexing for your blog site!
So there you go. A zero dollar, seven hour marketing plan that would rake in some earnings. It doesn’t stop there, however. Try to post a new entry everyday, and ping the search engines afterwards. Soon enough, you’ll have a high traffic blog site where you could expose your affiliate links to a whole lot of people!
Good luck!

10 Critical Steps to Improve Your Quality Score and to Pay Less For Your Google AdWords Campaigns
November 13, 2009 by IBI · Leave a Comment
Getting a good Google quality score is important to lower the minimum bid price for your keywords on your Google AdWords campaigns. The quality score ranges from 1 to 10, where 10 is best. I think it’s not absolutely necessary to get a quality score of 9 or 10 for all of your keywords, but you should aim to get a quality score of at least 7 or 8 for most of your keywords. How does Google actually calculate the quality score for your keywords? Well there are many different factors that determine your quality score and only Google knows the exact rules. Nevertheless, the following tips and guidelines should allow you a get a sufficiently high quality score – somewhere around 8 or even 9 – for most of your keywords:* Put a privacy policy on your website* Add some valuable content to your site – 5 to 10 short articles containing 300 – 500 words should be enough.* Create some backlinks to your site: For example, submit your articles (or at least a few of them) to various article directories.* Add a “Contact Me” page to your site.* Add an “About” page to your site.* Add a “Resources” page to your site with links to valuable and relevant sites. Consider sites with a high Google Page Rank as well as .edu and .org sites.* Add a sitemap to your site.* Make sure your site is clean, has a professional look and feel and doesn’t contain any “under construction”- or similar pages.* Make sure your ads are relevant. A good practice is to use the keyword you are bidding on in the headline of your ad.* Make sure your landing page is relevant. Don’t try to sell guitar lessons on your landing page when your ad is talking about an easy way to learn piano. You could even create a dedicated landing page for each of your adgroups – although that’s not always necessary.Ok, all this sounds like quite a lot of work, but on the other hand it’s not really that much either. Look, the majority of these pages won’t contain much content, some of these pages could be generated automatically (for example the sitemap), the “Resources” page is just a list of a few links… Also, some of these pages can be easily reused (with a few minor modifications) for other websites and other AdWords campaigns. And following the steps outlined above will not only assure you lower minimum bid prices for your keywords, but they will also drastically increase your sales conversion. Why and how? Let’s have a quick look at the entire process:* Someone searches for a solution to a specific problem on Google* This person finds your ad on the Google search results page and because you used the keyword he was searching for in the headline of your ad, he clicks on it.* He is arrives at your landing page, which delivers what was promised in the ad and contains even more mouth-watering information.* Your site is neat, clean and looks professional. There is a privacy policy, a contact form, a sitemap… * Now you just made a big step towards gaining the trust of your site visitor and you drastically increased your chances that he will sign up for your newsletter, buy your product…So as you can see, the Google quality score isn’t something that was introduced by Google to bother you or to make your life more difficult than it needs to be. It’s just a means to improve quality and you can even look at it as an indicator telling you if your campaign and website is sufficiently sophisticated to become profitable and to generate a positive ROI. So, please do yourself a favor, invest a few hours of your time, follow the suggestions mentioned above and I promise you won’t regret it.

Get More Search Engine Traffic by Working Less
November 11, 2009 by IBI · Leave a Comment
With the seemingly ever frantic approaches to get more search engine traffic, it may seem strange to suggest that a solution actually might be work less on your site rather than more, but it might not be as crazy as it first appears…
You may have guessed that I am not saying you should forget about setting up your site correctly for seo purposes.
It’s important to pay attention to items like proper html coding site maps and a linking strategy.
You should always take care of these factors for long term search engine results, so called organic traffic.
What I am saying though, is that it may be possible to get a traffic generating vehicle to a better ranking than your actual site.
Let me explain.
One example is by using articles. Google particularly likes certain article websites, examples being ezinearticles, goarticles and searchwarp, and spiders them daily. Articles on these sites are quite capable of getting page 1 rankings, and within as little as a few days.
That’s not marketing hype or exaggeration, it’s well documented fact.
You do need to pick your keyword phrase correctly, but if you do so, and write a well constructed article submitted to a site like the ones mentioned above, it’s quite possible that your article will get a good search engine ranking.
People searching your phrase will see the article, and click on the link at the bottom to get to your site.
Yes, they do have to get over one extra hurdle in that they need to read to the bottom of the article and click on your site, but if you’ve composed your article correctly with genuine content, they will.
Another great traffic generator which you can use in the search engines is the blog.
Blogs are great for being able to immediately post and publish your content.
You can build a following of people who want to hear what you say, and will pass your blog details around the web. Publishing feeds allow other websites to use your content – great exposure without you lifting a finger once you’ve made the post.
This in turn can mean that your blog gets better rankings than your actual site.
This is not a problem, in fact it’s what I am talking about, using the blog to get good rankings, and then generating the traffic *via* that blog to your site.
Unlike articles, you also have more control over the blogs layout, so can monetize it as a by product of it generating traffic.
Another way to use blogs is to take advantage of other peoples’s blogs.
If they have a good ranking for your keyword phrase, leaving a comment and link to your site will not only help your own site’s rankings, it will get you traffic from the visitors that read the other blog, as they are by default interested in the subject matter.
So you can see, sometimes it helps to use specific traffic generators away from your site to get more search engine traffic.
10 Ways to Get Less Search Engine Traffic
November 8, 2009 by IBI · Leave a Comment
So, you got yourself a new website set up and you want to be at the bottom of the “shower head” search results. This may not get you banned altogether, but it will at least get your site deranked enough that new visitors will stop bothering you.
1. Build hundreds of pages with the same content.
Build as many pages as you can, with basically the same content. Build one for “shower heads in Oregon”, then build another for “shower heads in California”. Build one for every state, and all the big cities in that state. Doing this should get your site banned in a month or two if you do it right.
2. Buy 145 domains, and point them all at the same site.
Another old SEO trick that works well. Since you are selling shower heads, you should get:
shower-heads.com
buy-shower-heads.com
where-to-buy-shower-heads.com
where-to-find-free-shower-heads.com
You get the idea. Build up enough of these and submit them all to google and yahoo, so they can index them and properly punish your site.
3. Keep your keyword density as high as possible.
Who cares what the text sounds like, keep it optimized. Here is an example of BAD text:
“At Jeremy’s Shower heads, we have many name brand shower heads to choose from, and you can order online”.
That almost sounds like something a human would say. Try this:
“At Jeremy’s Shower Heads, we have the most shower heads out of any shower heads manufacturer, or shower heads dealer. Come check out our shower heads store and look at all our shower heads and shower heads supplies we have available. Need more shower heads, or a special shower head? We can special order shower heads too.”
Not only do you have more text, but we have 15.5% keyword density for “shower heads”. That should be enough to trip the spam filter in most major engines. If it doesnt, try adding “shower heads” into random spots in the paragraph.
4. Spam your links in wordpress or other blog comments.
Nothing says “crappy spam site” more, and if you do this enough, the search engines will notice. Since very few people probably click those links anyway, you wont have any new visitors bothering you either.
5. Join as many link exchanges as possible.
Try to get as many link exchanges going, with as many sites as possible. If you run a shower head site, trading links with a quilting directory makes perfect sense. Enough irrelevant links, and you should see a good drop in rankings you should actually get naturally.
6. Use as many free for all “FFA” sites as possible.
Same theory, link exchanges with irrelevant sites won’t get you banned, but they will certainly drop your rankings.
7. Target popular keywords and enjoy the extra traffic.
Dont fill your site with keywords about shower heads. Throw in paris hilton, britney spears, and mortage rates. With all those extra people coming in, you’re bound to sell a shower head or two. Targeted marketing is for people who want to be bothered by customers all the time.
8. Generate random text
The more text, the better. Generating random text is a great way to get new people into your site, but dont worry they’ll close the browser once they read the gibberish. And google will punish your rankings also.
9. Build cloak pages!
A cloaked page is a page designed to be seen by search engines, and optimized, then a real user sees an entirely different page. Again, all the people coming to your super britney spears page listed on google, will surely be happy that you have such a wide selection of shower heads. And soon google will catch on to your cloaked pages also.
10. Hide your text
This one is awesome! There is no way the search engines will ever figure out your white text on a white background. This secret text is your key to getting banned, and rather quickly if someone finds it and tattles on you. So get that huge keyword list ready and start loading up the page!
Summary
I hope this has helped. The sarcasm even got old to me by the end of the list, but these are things you should never, ever consider on your site. Many of the tactics haven’t worked well for years, and many of them are futile anyway, as you’re only getting traffic that isn’t interested in your product. Keep these in mind when talking to an SEO also.

Install Wordpress in 30 Seconds or Less with WordPress Auto Install
October 29, 2009 by IBI · Leave a Comment
WordPress is the perfect platform for your new website or blog, and WordPress auto install makes it simple and easy to install WordPress and get your new site set up in about 30 seconds. In this brief article, I’ll share the 3 simple steps you can take to get up and running before you know it. At the end of the article, I’ll also tell you where you can watch a short video that will walk you through the WordPress install process.
Step 1: Get a Web Host that Offers WordPress Auto Install (Also Known as WordPress 1-Click Install)
There are several web hosting companies who currently offer 1-click auto-install for various programs, such as WordPress. If you’re not sure whether your host offers this feature or not, simply contact their tech support folks to see if they do. My previous web host did not offer this service, and it would take me about 30 minutes to install WordPress (and I’m a web developer by trade). Naturally, I was happy to switch to a new web host that does offer the WordPress auto install service.
Step 2: Login to Your Web Hosting Account, Find and Click the Link for Fantastico
Fantastico is a program that automates the installation of various other web applications on a web server. Said another way, this is the tool your web host uses to allow you to install WordPress (and other programs) quickly and easily.
Step 3: On the Fantastico Control Panel, Select WordPress, and Follow the Simple Instructions Provided
Once you get to the Fantastico control panel, you will likely see several different programs that you could install. Obviously, you’ll want to select WordPress, and you want to click the link that says “New Installation.” After that, you simply fill in a few fields (Fantastico will offer you instructions), and click the “Install WordPress” button. Fantastico will work it’s magic in about 5 seconds, and you’re all done.
