Creative Advertising to Make Money Online

November 20, 2009 by IBI · Leave a Comment

Business entrepreneurs that advertise online know that a well thought-out creative advertising campaign has been, and is, the groundwork to make money online and the foundation stone of many internet fortunes

Casual advertising is a waste of money and effort. Some business entrepreneurs know how to advertise online so as to get the full worth of their money; others spend more money but get no apparent returns. Increasing the online advertising budget for a home based internet business doesn’t necessarily increase the change to make money online. How to advertise, what to advertise and when to advertise; these are the three questions that present themselves to the internet entrepreneur, which, if answered correctly, will bring him undoubted success. There are many ways of implementing successful creative advertising strategies and the novice in the business finds himself perplexed as to which to adopt. But let him consult anyone who has made a fortune through advertising, and in 99 out of 100 cases he will learn that the medium of success was the advertising method, be it online or offline; using the internet, the printed media or the air waves.

In marketing not only the applicable advertising strategy, but also the approach is very important, it has to be done fearlessly. It is a useless technique to go into a crowd and raise a weak scream which is drowned in the general clamor. It will not help either trying to imitate the approach of ancient times market vendors who in crying fish for the first time would not lift their voices for fear any one should hear them. Fear is not a good conductor to make money online for any kind of business.

There is another sense in which every online advertising entrepreneur should be brave. He should have confidence in promotion, should be quite certain that if he throws his bread upon the waters he must find it, even if it be “after many days”. It is the half-hearted people who fail. You cannot break the bank in a casino by risking half-crowns on “red” or “black”. These timid people are the victims of advertising adventurers, people who start papers specially to meet their case. They are known not to be able to resist the bait of a cheap advertisement, and will give a typical order for “100,000 guaranteed visitors to your site for 99 cents” with vast satisfaction, thinking they have driven a hard bargain. So they have for themselves. Low price advertising campaigns normally mean limited traffic and exposure; and that in its turn implies that an advertiser in search of publicity might as well publish his advertisement up on thin air. A good keyword at 4 dollars a click in a Google campaign is a better speculation than 100,000 guaranteed visitors for 99 cents.

A creative advertising strategy has to attract and maintain attention. Anyone of a thousand online ads may serve to catch the eye and fix the attention for an instant, but only the creative advertisements are the ones read, marvel about and remembered, and when the reader wants any particular item or service he surfs to the place where it is advertised to be on sale and clicks.

The time to carry out online advertising is all the time: an advertisement is never idle; it is sending traffic, potential costumers to your online business while you are asleep, or while you are away on a vacation. The best time to launch a creative advertising campaign is when your home based internet business is getting a little dull, when customers are few and hard to please. Than it is time to stir up business and force it to come your way.

Business entrepreneurs who no longer advertise online because business is dull are like the man who neglects to mend a leaky roof in dry weather because it doesn’t leak then..He better ought to make money online in all kinds of weather.

Blogging for Dollars (part 1)

November 16, 2009 by IBI · Leave a Comment

I’ve been getting a lot of emails lately asking me “how to make money using their blogs?” So this series of articles is for you guys. In my six plus years of experience as an internet entrepreneur and affiliate marketer, I have found that the most affective way to utilize your blogs to make money is to set up an internet affiliate blog network.

That’s multiple blogs all connected in a hierarchy, usually with a central site positioned at the top. This is the most affective method for one simple reason. There is power in numbers. Yes, that old saying is still relevant for internet marketing. The fact of the matter is that, you can make a bigger impact on a niche internet market with multiple sites (or blogs) than you can with just one single site. Our goal is to completely dominate the niche market that you specify with the intent of leveraging that position for money making purposes.

So how do you do this? Well the concept is quite simple, but the implementation can prove to be quite harder than you think. The trick to accomplishing the task of using an affiliate blog network to make money is being able to organize the setup, promotion, and updating of the sites. It can be a daunting task when you’re dealing with a couple of hundred sites.

So that brings me to my next question, how many sites does it take to create an affiliate blog network? Well that depends on the market that you are targeting. More specifically, it depends on the number of keywords or keyword phrases in your keyword list. There is no magic number. Because I suggest that you create a blog for every keyword in your list.

In some cases you may have to create over a hundred blogs, sometimes thousands. It just depends on the size of the keyword list that you are using. Like I said before the hard part about doing this is getting everything organized. Your ability to accomplish this work in an efficient manner is the key to your success using blogs to make money online. This is going to take some work. You can utilize places like blogger.com and wordpress.com to set these blogs up and the best part is they’re free.

So now you have the setup part organized, for the most part. The next two problems are not going to be as easy on your own. You must provide each one of these blogs with keyword rich, targeted content. And you must promote everyone of these blogs. Because you can’t just set them up and expect people to find them. You can now see how much work this is really going to be. Fortunately there is a very easy way of creating a blog network for making money.

How To Increase Your Blog And Website Rankings The Easy Way

November 15, 2009 by IBI · Leave a Comment

I have not really paid much attention to this method of link building until now, but have now decided to give it more attention after realizing how well this trick works. If you look around at the well-known Webmaster Forums you’ll find many people looking for a sponsor of templates they built. These Templates can be for forums, directories or blogs (in particular Wordpress Blogs). These designer design and build templates for the software of their choice and then release it for free.
Under the license terms a user of such a template needs to leave the sponsor links intact. These links are usually located in the footer. By finding sponsors for their templates these designers actually make money. If you are a good designer it might take you an hour or two to develop a nice looking template. You can easily sell 2 sponsored links on a design for approx. $35 and $100 each. Depending on where you live this can be a significant source of income.
From a sponsor point of view this means if the template is promoted well, he get a lot of back links from other blogs. Imagine a free template with your link in it used 100 times – this can be significant if those blogs grow in popularity and Google Page Rank. The real beauty of this “seo trick” is not to concentrate on the publicly available sponsorships you find in forums, but to identify a designer who delivers good work and to contact this designer and to work with them directly. Bypass the middleman, bypass the competition.
In general this seems to be an underdeveloped market with high link building potential. If used in a mix of normal link building and SEO it can be a great tool to make your blog or website more popular. With Google and other search engines becoming more difficult to deal with you have to become more creative if you want to rank high in search engines.

Step-By-Step, Do-It-Yourself, SEO Guide

October 27, 2009 by IBI · Leave a Comment

SEO or Search Engine Optimization is one internet marketing strategy that any internet entrepreneur would want for their website. Well maybe except for those that really established a strong name over the web, but as for those that started out in ecommerce would really need to learn about SEO. Let’s get to the point, SEO is used as a way to raise a website’s rank in any search engine like Yahoo! and Google (any of the top 10 slots will do, but It’ll be greater if it would be in top 1). By doing so, the possibility of visitors that visits a website would increase, thus increasing sales and profit margin. So long-story-short, SEO is all about increasing the visibility of a website in the world wide web by use of search engines. Now the question is, how do you do SEO?
SEO companies are now available for hire around the world, such as SEO Philippines companies. Some companies have outsourced their SEO needs to these establishments. But it can also be done by anyone that knows basic SEO procedures, even at home. So here is a step-by-step, do-it-yourself, guide on SEO and how to increase visibility in the world wide web.
Step 1: Get Your Keywords
The first step that any SEO Philippines company would do is to research on keywords that perfectly describes the website. Free online keyword research tools like Google Adwords Keyword tool or SEO Book’s Keyword tool are popularly used by many SEO specialists. Highly competitive keywords is the main ingredient in any successful SEO dish. But highly competitive doesn’t only describe single words such as “SEO”, it also emphasizes on the keyword structure, if it really describes the website like “SEO service in the Philippines”.
Note: In a keyword research, always make sure that the keywords are relevant to the website to be optimized. Irrelevant keywords pointing to a website could earn a one way trip to “Ban“svill courtesy of search engines.
Step 2: Know Your Enemies
Well not exactly “enemies” per-se, but competitors. After doing a keyword research, It’s time to look up on your competitors by use of your chosen keywords. Try looking at what SEO tactics or strategies they’ve done. By viewing their source code (ctrl+U for Firefox), you can see the keyword density, meta tags they used, alt tags, and title tags (I’ll explain these later on). To learn the number backlinks (I’ll explain these later on) of a website, try using SEOpen’s free backlink tool, this way you’ll know what you have to beat to gain their spot. Using your competitor’s strength against them is one successful way to succeed in an SEO campaign.
Step 3: Start On-Page SEO
So here we’ll start the first pace of SEO, the on-page optimization. Actually, SEO is divided into 2 parts, the on-page and off-page (which I’ll discuss later on). On-page optimization involves making changes within the website to make it more “search engine friendly”. The strategies and tactics used here are as follows:

  • Content Optimization – This strategy involves changing the content of the website, particularly with it’s text elements. One way is to embed the researched keywords on texts found throughout the website, focusing mainly on the headers (those with the big bold letters). It is said that keywords used should be take about 7% of the total number of words in a content. Let’s say you have 400 words in a single page, so 7% of that 400 (which is 28) should be keywords. Note: Make sure that the content is still readable after placing those keywords. Remember that the users are still your prime target, not the search engine spiders.
  • Site Map – Site maps are an important part of websites optimized for search engine. This way, search engine spiders (or robots) could easily crawl through the whole website by use of site map. Making it easier for spiders to crawl through the website is one way to make a website “search engine friendly”.
  • Meta Tags - Meta tags are comprised of the Title, Description, and Keywords of the website. Other than the content of websites, meta tags are also the perfect place for keywords. The only difference is that these things are like a “Free Buffet” sign for search engine spiders, it’s the one responsible for attracting search engine spiders to crawl your website. But remember that it still depends on the structure of the meta tags.
  • Alt Tags - Alt tags are those found in HTML image codes. Let’s say your keyword is “SEO Philippines“, your image tag should now look like this: <img src=”images.png” alt=“SEO Philippines”> Just like the meta tags, alt tags are also an appropriate place to put several important keywords. Note: Make sure that only one (1) keyword should be placed on every alt tags found all over the website to avoid keyword spamming (which is part of black hat SEO)
  • Title Tags – Like meta tags and alt tags, title tags are also an appropriate place to put some keywords in. By adding a keyword, let’s take for example “SEO Service”, in the title tag, the HTML hyperlink tag should look like this: <a onClick=”javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview(’/outgoing/article_exit_link’);” href=”default.aspx” title=“SEO Service Online”> Note: Alt tags are not seen by visitors, only the search engine spiders so it wouldn’t hurt to just leave it with the keyword. But title tags are seen by visitors, so make sure that the title tag is still readable after embedding the a keyword or two.

Step 4: Start Off-Page SEO
Unlike the on-page, off-page optimization involves SEO strategies outside of the website. This part of SEO is divided into two categories, backlinks and public relation strategies. Backlinks are links all over the world wide web that points back to your website. It has long been considered that the many backlinks you have, the more popular you’ll get. Another theory added is the weight or importance of the website where the link is coming from. Tools used to determine the popularity of a website is through Google’s PageRank and Alexa traffic tool. Here are some of the strategies used by SEO specialists to get backlinks.

  • Link Exchange - One of the earliest forms of backlinking involves exchanging links with other relevant websites.
  • Article Marketing - This type of off-page SEO can be considered both for backlinks and public relations. An article commonly generates an average of 3 links (depending on the kind of article directory it was submitted). It’s also considered as public relations because these articles commonly promotes the business they’re trying to market.
  • Blog and Forum Commenting – Forums and blogs are also a popular trend to generate backlinks by using their signatures as links linking back to your website.
  • Blogging - Other than commenting on other blogs, creating your own blog and embedding links is another popular way for generating backlinks.

PR or public relation strategies of off-page SEO involves generating traffic not only through search engines but also with other types of media. This type of off-page SEO mainly works by marketing their service through word of mouth. These strategies involves the use of:

  • Social Media - Social media such as Friendster, FaceBook, Twitter, and MySpace are the perfect place to start a buzz that could benefit the website through the marketing strategy they call “word of mouth”. Adding a link could also help in getting more backlinks.
  • Social Bookmarking – By using the articles in bookmarking sites such as Technorati or Digg, people could easily learn about your services through your article. This is also another way for the articles to gain more importance in the web, thus increasing the chance for your websites to be visited through your articles.

Other forms of off-page SEO is submitting your website to search engine directories. Make sure to submit your URL for free to Google, Yahoo!, Alexa, www.altavista.com, www.alltheweb.com, www.excite.com, www.lycos.com, www.webcrawler.com, www.Jayde.com, www.whatuseek.com, and more. DMOZ and Yahoo Directory listings are tremendously valuable. There are a lot more free and paid search engines and directories to submit, but if you do not have time to search for and submit, you can also use our search engine submission service.Visit http://www.myoptimind.com for more information.
