Webwindows Guide To Channelizing Your Advertising Spend

December 14, 2009 by IBI · Leave a Comment

According to Webwindows, a leading media agency in the UK, an ideal advertising strategy should combine the best of offline and online media to derive maximum returns. Both mediums can not function in isolation and Webwindows rightly suggests that small and medium sized businesses should not target just one medium but harness the power of both for better e-commerce results.Given the fact that online sales are on the rise thanks to the comfort level and the easy convenience to shop any time of the day and night, online companies should spread out their advertising spend across the online media and print media to drive traffic to their websites. Webwindows feels that though small and medium sized online retailers can opt for PPC campaigns to increase traffic to their websites they should also take into consideration the other option of placing classified advertisements in the newspapers and magazines that have a wide circulation. For example, online companies can place their classified advertisements on the Webwindows page that appears in the weekend supplement of seven leading newspapers in the UK. The Webwindows page is browsed by a dedicated group of consumers who are actually looking for bargains or products and services to purchase online. So online companies simply need to place a well drafted classified advertisement in the Webwindows page, clearly mentioning the URL of their websites so that the consumers can log on to the website and make their purchases. Here it is also important to point out why online retailers should advertise on dedicated pages such as the Webwindows page that appears in the leading newspapers in the UK. The Webwindows page, over the last ten years, has built up a formidable reputation and readers know that this is where they can find advertisements for the best online bargains. Also the Webwindows page appears on weekends when people have enough time to browse through the advertisements at their own leisure. Now suppose instead of advertising in the print media such as the Webwindows page, online companies focus their advertising spend on purchasing advertising slots on radio and TV. The disadvantage in this case is that their target consumers may not have their TV or radio on when the advertisement is being aired. Based on experience, Webwindows recommends that it makes more sense for small and medium-sized businesses to advertise in the newspapers and magazines because not only is it cheaper but it gives the time factor advantage to the consumers in that they can browse through the newspapers any time they want. According to Webwindows, there are online companies who prefer to focus their advertising spend on PPC campaigns and other online strategies. The disadvantage, according to Webwindows, is that online companies would have to pay even for those clicks that do not convert into sales. So when companies do a comparative cost and sales analysis of online and offline media advertising, they may find that offline advertising scores over online advertising. This is not to say that online advertising does not work at all. Webwindows suggests that online companies should do a careful analysis of both the mediums and then decide on channelizing their advertising spend.

Increasing Traffic to Your Home Business Blog

November 28, 2009 by IBI · Leave a Comment

A home business blog is a great way to earn money especially if you focus on a subject you are passionate about. If your subject is popular enough you can actually get paid to blog but you will have to be committed to the task. The most popular blogs gain their notoriety from posting good quality content and on a frequent basis. This is the commitment we were referring to earlier. When you first create a blog some type of plan needs to be put in place as to how you will supply the content you will need on a regular basis. Your next step will be setting a strategy as to how you will attract readers to your blogging business. Great content will do you little good if nobody knows about it so assuming your content is excellent our next step is to promote it.Here are 3 highly effective ways of generating blog traffic.Frequent PostingThe absolute key to the success of any blog starts with the frequency of how often the content is updated. If your post are far and few in between your site will become ’stale’ not only to your visitors but also to the search engines. When any new information is posted to your blog search engines are ‘notified’ of it and come to scan it. The more frequent and relevant the content you post is, the higher your search ranking will be resulting in more new visitors to your site.Guest BloggingWith the quality of the information your site contains word will get out within your niche. In time you will have other bloggers visiting and proposing that you write some content for their site. When you write for another blog you can siphon traffic back to yours whereas the host blogger receives an ‘infusion’ of fresh content which pleases his or hers own subscribers as well. Everybody wins in a case like this.Commenting on Other BlogsAnother way to become ‘known’ within your niche and to increase your own blog traffic is by visiting and participating in discussions on other sites. This will be second nature to you since the niche you are participating in is one you are already familiar with. Your comments, when left, will prove to be ‘insightful’ to other participants who will likely follow you back to your site to read some more about what you post. Of course your comments need to be warranted and obviously of value to everyone for this to be effective.A home business blog can be both a lot of fun and very lucrative if you commit yourself to it. By picking the right topic and investing your efforts you can become one of the most popular blogs in your niche. At this point you can actually get paid to blog. To make your efforts easier however it is wise when you first create a blog to select a topic you are interested in. Pulling it all together you will want to generate plenty of traffic for your blogging business. By implementing any or all of the 3 techniques we spoke of above you should have little difficulty in gaining both readers and popularity within your niche.

PPC Advertising for Increase Traffic, Leads and Sales

November 22, 2009 by IBI · Leave a Comment

One tool that is causing internet marketing popularity is PPC advertising. PPC stands for Pay Per Click – a popular advertising technique on the Internet. Found on websites, advertising networks, and especially on search engines, PPC advertising involves sponsored links that are typically in the form of text ads.

In essence, PPC advertising is all about bidding for the top or leading position on search engine results and listings. Advertisers do this by buying or bidding on keyword phrases that are relevant to their products or services – the higher the bid, the higher the spot on the search results, the more the people will find the ad (and click on it) to go to their websites. Advertisers would then pay the bidding price every time a visitor clicks through the website.

PPC advertising is also known under the following names/variations:

• Pay per placement

• Pay per performance

• Pay per ranking

• Pay per position

• Cost per click (CPC)

Here are the benefits of PPC advertising are:

1. With PPC advertising you need not be a genius in computer and technology to be able to run this ad campaign.

2. PPC Advertising make immediate results are seen after a few days.

3. No need to make a website conform to the SEO rules.

4. Nothing to lose even if you do not top the pages of different search engines. You can still always choose PPC advertising.

5. You can make use any PPC advertising search engine available.

6. With PPC Advertising you can type in any keyword you like.

How exactly PPC advertising can increase traffic, leads and sales?

Pre-qualified traffic. PPC advertising leads your customers to you for a lesser cost.

Instant exposure, immediate profits. PPC advertising search engines enable you to get your desired results fast.

Consistent top listings. This is to get your website on top of the sponsored search results for free.

PPC advertising enables advertisers to control their advertising campaigns. Advertisers have effectively targeted their audience and set their own price per click. PPC advertising networks provide the platform to identify the desired audience by geographic setting, topic and industry.

Tools are provided by the networks to check how the pay per click limit is working for a certain advertiser. Of course, if the advertiser made the highest bid, the better chances the ad will be seen in the search engine. These networks too provide protection for the advertisers against click fraud. This advertising set-up allows advertisers to set a daily budget for his ads, thus, less spending for unnecessary clicks. Advertiser will never go over his budget.

In PPC advertising, what are important are the keywords and phrases. Then, write the ad creatively but straightforward. Good thing if your product or service will not disappoint those that are relying on your ad’s promise – but what if it did otherwise?

More and more advertisers have been using PPC advertising and it will continue to grow faster than any online advertising techniques. From revenues of $2.6 billion in 2004 to $5.5 billion in 2009, cost per click will dramatically go up as well from $0.29 to $0.36.

PPC advertising is new in online marketing and it is going to continue in the years to come. For advertisers, this means increase revenues with fewer advertising expenses, savings, more sales, good return of investment (ROI) and effective ad campaigns in the days to come.

Make Money With Google Adwords

Make Money Online With Google AdWordsby Bing Zou

More and more people in today’s world use the Internet as a tool to get or sell product, service or information.

The trend is that most of those users use keywords search, not directories or categories. Google holds the half market of keywords search.

Meanwhile, PPC (pay per click) campaign has hit the web like a storm. Pay per click campaign attracts much more interest from both advertisers and webmasters.

Keywords or key phrases are terms that a possible client would use to find your product or service. Keywords research is a continuous never-ending process that can help increase traffic and attract targeted visitors.

The best answer for PPC campaign to promote your products (including affiliate programs) is Google AdWords. To select your affiliate programs, the easiest way is to sign up to ClickBank, Commission Junction and LinkShare.

Google has leveraged their market share as the internet’s top search engine to deliver their version of the pay per click advertising model. Sign up for the AdWords program is free and they only require a $5 USD deposit before they will start to display your ad. It’s easy to run and control.

Google’s AdWords service has brought success to many businesses by providing them with a large amount of highly targeted traffic from as little as 1 cents per visitor. However, there is probably an equal number of webmasters who have paid for AdWords and seen little benefit or have indeed made substantial losses. If the latter applies to you, then the following may be useful to you.

The problem with Google AdWords is that it has become very difficult to find keywords at a reasonable price. Bidding on keywords like “make money online” or something in that range will kill your advertising budget in no time.

In my personal experience, it seems that a good market will be between 40,000 to 100,000 searches for that particular month. Less than that may be a weak market, and more than that could be too competitive. To find out for sure, you can use the Overture bidding tool for a particular word or phrase, and look at the third bid, it should be at least .30 up to $2.00. Again, less than .30 could be weak and more than $2.00 could be too competitive. You know, Overture is similar to Google AdWords, just it shows you the bid list.

For keywords selection, the best one is Ad Word Analyzer 3.0. You can “Discover the Quick and Easy Way to Drive Massive Amounts of Laser-Targeted Traffic to Your Site Today”. Please pay more attention on Targeted Traffic. I want to say “only targeted traffic will soar your sale”.

It seemed not very difficult to make profit online with Google AdWords: just join an affiliate program, promote it on Google Adwords and get commissions.

However, you have to learn more about Google AdWords for your living. But the more you learn, the more you will make. I believe it is your new lifestyle to make money online with Google AdWords.

10 Ways You Can Market Your Mlm Blog Posts With Social Power Linking

November 19, 2009 by IBI · Leave a Comment

Having a well planned and designed MLM blog with an attractive theme and original keyword optimized content is now an important aspect of the internet marketing plans of many network marketers. Having strong pillar articles and an attractive design are not enough these days to get the MLM blog traffic required to build a large subscriber base.
For example, Technorati lists over 2,000 “MLM blogs”, in their directory. A Google search for MLM blogs yields over 2,510,000 pages! In order to get significant MLM blog traffic for your MLM blog, consistently following ten Web 2.0 social power linking steps can help increase the page rank and performance of your MLM blog.
Following these steps in this order should be part of a routine schedule for each post to your blog.
1. Claim your blog at Technorati. This is an essential first step, even before you begin your post. Technorati is the “Google of blogs”, with over 4,500,000 blogs in their directory. Make sure to develop and upload a strong profile that includes your picture. Then choose the appropriate tags for your niche. You can enter up to fifteen tags, so do some keyword research to find some good long tail keywords. Go to http://www.technorati.com and get started.
2. Join My Blog Log and register your blog. My Blog Log is a very large community of bloggers who network with each other and buzz each others’ blogs. Again, a strong profile with a picture is important. My Blog Log is an important resource to significantly increase your MLM blog traffic. This is because you can join communities, go to other blogs and post comments and leave individual comments for members. You can install a simple widget on your blog to show all of the My Blog Log members who have visited your blog. You can also view some important statistics for your blog by going into your back office. Go to http://www.mybloglog.com and set up your account.
3. Make your first linkbait piece. Linkbait is a post that will create a large buzz either because it has a significant resource list or is controversial in some respect. Check out Jack Humphrey’s Friday Traffic Report for some excellent information and resources on linkbait.
4. Start the buzz. Make sure you have permalinks turned on. Then start making comments and trackbacks to other relevant blogs in your niche. When you leave the url for your linkbait piece permalink in your comments and trackback posts, other bloggers will come and check out your post and blog. This will increase your MLM blog traffic because you are creating links for other bloggers without asking them first. Do it well and respectfully and other bloggers will reciprocate.
5. Sign up for the major Web 2.0 news sites and Onlywire. These include but are not limited to: Digg, Propeller, Plime, and Newsvine. Onlywire is a free service that pings sixteen social bookmarking sites
6. Submit your linkbait piece to these sites. If you want to make this process as short as possible, you can use Web2Submitter, which pretty much automates the submissions.
7. Submit your piece to the vertical news sites relevant for your niche. For Internet marketing, the top two sites are PlugIM and Marktd.
8. Submit your post to Onlywire.
9. Go back and comment on other bloggers’ posts in the communities, such as Digg, Propeller, Plime and My Blog Log. They will notice that you commented and voted on their posts and reciprocate. You will build your MLM blog traffic and network by consistently doing this simple activity
.
10. Join a buzz group or start one and tell your group about your linkbait piece. Ask them to buzz your piece.
Increasing your MLM blog traffic and consistently writing authoritative articles will establish you as an expert in your niche. You will attract many subscribers and then be well on your way toward building a large and profitable MLM business.

Designing A Blog For Maximum Effect And Potential

November 19, 2009 by IBI · Leave a Comment

Blog is short for the word weblog. A weblog is a journal (or newsletter) that is frequently updated and intended for the consumpution of the general public. Blogs generally represent the personality of the author or the Web site. Blogs can be used in the business world as well. Blogs started in the late 90s and have increased in popularity over the past months. Many people have started to create their personal blogs to express their thoughts and feelings. Internet companies have also started their blogs to inform consumers on the latest product news and reviews.

Blogs are now being used in internet marketing media field. Previously, Internet marketing was done by placing banners and links on popular websites, such as news and information sites. Links were also included on newsletters and marketing letters sent to the members of their mailing lists. Lots of people spend time reading blogs. People read their friend’s blogs, their favorite author’s blogs, blogs on topics that they are interested in, and blogs on product reviews. With the increasing popularity of blogging, it is even feared that people rely on blogs to get the latest news.

Although news reports from blogs may not be reliable, some people look for product reviews through blogs which in some cases is more dependable. While it is true that some media persons are being paid to write good reviews about a certain product, blog writers write about their actual experiences with products and services from a company. Since there are many people who read and start their own blogs, blogs are a good medium to market a product. Increasing blog traffic means an increase in product sales.

Joining affiliate programs and sites which will list your blog under a certain search category or name can increase your blog traffic. You can also have your blog advertised in popular websites. This, however, will cost some money and is not advisable if you have just started blogging. A writer who has just launched his/her blog will want as much traffic as possible to increase advertisements on the site. Also, some advertisers pay every time their link is clicked or the page that has their link is viewed.

When you have increased traffic on your blog, you should try to keep your visitors coming back and recommending your blog to friends and colleagues. This can be done by having informative or amusing content and good blog layout and design. You may develop your blog’s content or you can also acquire the services of a web content writer to provide you with the blog articles.

A blog’s layout and design also plays a big role. While most of the companies offering free blog hosting offer pre-selected templates, there are also some that allows customization that if you utilize this feature correctly can increase your blog’s traffic.

Make your blog stand out from the millions of blogs out by following the guidelines below:

Customize the banner. The banner usually has the most generic designs that are common to the blogs from a blogging company or service. You can personalize this banner by having a graphic with the dimensions of the banner. You can also edit the graphic so that it will also include the title of your blog. In this case, you can create your own graphic or you can purchase professional looking graphics online for less than $10.

Personalize photos. Of course, most of the photos that you will be posting will be your own. However, if you don’t customize the photos before posting them, you may miss maximizing the enhancing benefits graphics can add to the page. Adding photo borders can help the photo stand out from the page. It can also add to the design of your blog. You can choose a standard border or you can also create your own border which can be associated with your blog’s templates.

Add a favicon. Don’t you think sites with icons on the address bar before the website’s URL are cool? Many people do. These favicons add a professional look to the URL. These easy to do using photo or graphic editing softwares.

Include RSS feeds. This is a cool way to inform people with newsreaders about your blog headlines. Tutorials on RSS feeds are available on the internet.

Advertisements. If you have signed-up with Google Ad-Sense, which I am sure you would like to do, make sure that the ads are conveniently placed that these will not hinder your readers’ ease in accessing the information on your blog.

Check out blog templates, layouts, backgrounds, textures and skins from sites. There are sites that offer free blog templates, layouts, backgrounds, textures and skins. You can make use of these so your blog will not look generic like most of the blogs hosted by the service provider.

Audio makes your blog more personal. Not only does audio personalizes the blog; it can also keep your visitors coming back. You can try having streaming radio stations, mp3 file or playlists loading with your blog.

A well designed and run blog is a great internet marketing tool that can increase your product and service exposure and ultimately your sales. Following the ideas above will provide you with a great blog design.

Choosing Affiliate Products to Increase Profits

November 18, 2009 by IBI · Leave a Comment

When starting a new online business selling affiliate products, there are several common mistakes committed by the people that produce disastrous results. As a result, these people fail and they give up on the idea of making money online in this way. However, it doesn’t have to be this way. Done properly, there is incredible potential to increase profits and make big money selling affiliate products.

The very first cause affiliate marketing problems may be in the selection of the products you are promoting. Often, amateurs tend to pick out products that give them the highest commission on every sale. In reality, it’s not about earning high commissions in one shot. These ultra high commission payers frequently have an extremely low level of sales. It is much better to choose products that sell on a regular and consistent basis with good conversion rates.

It is also important to pick the products that are related to the niche of your website. So, if you have an online business that sells music, there’s no point in promoting health care products on your site! You would be much better off promoting products related to music. This strategy will increase profits and make you substantially more money in the long run.

In addition, many people try to promote too many products at once. They think that if one product is good, fifty products will be fantastic. Nothing could be further from the truth. This is a recipe for disaster. Instead, you are much better off by concentrating on just one or two good products. Then, as you begin to increase profits and traffic to your site, you can slowly add additional products.

So, if you see yourself committing some of these mistakes, make some changes and before you know it, you’ll increase your profits and start making money! Want more information on generating profits online? Check out my new guide for all the details.
