How to Monetize Your Website with AdSense

November 23, 2009 by IBI · Leave a Comment

Google AdSense is a fast and easy way for website publishers to automatically display relevant text-based ads on their web pages and earn money in the process.

How do you start making money from your website using AdSense?

1. Sign up for a Google AdSense account. It will only take a few minutes of your time.

2. When your site is accepted, you can begin creating AdSense ads. This is achieved on Google’s AdSense site. At the end of the creation process you download the HTML code Google AdSense provides, for inclusion in your web pages. You can insert this code on as many pages and web sites that you wish. Once you upload your amended web pages to your host, the AdSense ads will usually start appearing immediately.

3. You will earn a few cents or dollars per click when someone clicks on any AdSense ads displayed on any of your web pages. The amount you get paid per click is dependant on the amount the advertiser pays Google for the click. You have no control over this value, although there are ways to find out which keywords are higher earning than others. One word of warning – never attempt to earn revenues by clicking on the AdSense ads on your own sites. Under the terms of Google AdSense, this is not allowed and can result in your AdSense account being terminated instantly. The money you have already earned may be lost because of this.

4. Check your statistics. AdSense earnings can be checked at anytime by logging into your Google AdSense account. There are also tracking mechanisms available which you can incorporate during the AdSense ads creation process. This will help you in determining which of your websites and pages are making the most AdSense income.

Once you’ve got your account up and running, it is important to note that there are several factors affecting how your AdSense ads will perform and thus the amount of money they can potentially make for you.

How do you increase your AdSense earnings?

1. It is best to limit the content for each web page to a single niche or topic. Google AdSense will then be able to serve ads that are highly relevant to your page, which will then result in a higher clickthrough rate.

2. You have complete flexibility in selecting the text colors to be used in the AdSense ads appearing on your web pages. You can thus make the AdSense ads blend into the color scheme on your page, making the ads almost appear as if they are part of the information on the page a opposed to being ads. Alternatively, you may choose to make your AdSense as stand out from your page by using a different color scheme.

3. The location of the ads on your web page can also have an impact on your success with AdSense. On the Google AdSense website, there is a very useful “hot spot” diagram which indicates the best place to locate ads on web pages.

4. There are currently 12 AdSense ad formats. You can test which of these are most successful on your web pages. There is a school of thought which says that traditional banner style formats are now being ignored by many internet users. In other words, they are instantly recognized by viewers as being advertisements and therefore are not even glanced at.

There is no reason why any webmaster should not try AdSense on their sites. It is easy to implement, simple to monitor and makes them money for zero outlay.

Adsense- United With Careful Tracking of Ad Performance

November 21, 2009 by IBI · Leave a Comment

When you start using Word press to build your Adsense websites, you’ll soon discover what I mean. Google did go on to implement paid inclusion via Ad Words and Adsense, but basic submission to the index has always been free. I am happy to say that those days of mine are all in the past now, and I am making a good amount of money LEGALLY with Adsense and other affiliate programs.

This strategy, coupled with careful tracking of ad performance, will guarantee that you are making serious amounts of money with Google Adsense. Google supplies excellent resources on The Dos and The Don’ts of Adsense as well as very comprehensive tutorials on how to set up and use Adsense. What I love about Bolger is that once you plug in the Adsense code into your main template, a new page is created and Adsense is automatically displayed when you make a post. The first Google Adsense tool you need to check out is your Google Adsense channels.

1) Google Adsense fraud is one of the diseases that plague the Ad Words advertisers. I ran Adsense on my sites for over a year before I discovered these techniques, and like many people, I though I was doing pretty well. Keep in mind that the primary purpose of building this type of Adsense site is to have visitors’ attention on the ads, and finally click on the ads, right. For more results kindly visit us at www.instant-adsense-dollars.com. So what are the Google Adsense success secrets that other successful webmasters use to make some great money with their website?

Google Adsense – this is my personal favorite. Because the Adsense™ program displays advertisements that are so closely related to the website content, it is advantageous to webmasters because the advertisements are actually of interest to website visitors. * If or when you are removed or fined by Google for Adsense abuse, make sure you send copies of your IP address reports along with your re-inclusion request. C Ways to make money from Adsense by Using Articles and a Viral Marketing Website Any online marketing technique that involves the use of referral marketing or viral marketing automatically has a huge chance of being a success.

Not necessarily how it applies strictly to Ad Words and Adsense, but to the world in general. They can use them to promote their affiliate marketing business, or they can place Google Adsense ads right into the text. I have a high traffic web site and yet my Adsense earnings have plummeted. It may not seem like much, but all of those clicks add up – just ask someone who owns a made for Adsense site.

But if the site involves you in no work (for example if it sells an e-Book or you generate Adsense income etc from it, then why remove it

Successful Webmasters Use to Make Some Great Money With Google Adsense!

The overwhelming majority of the population has no clue what Google Adsense is and doesn’t understand that Google and the site owner make money when they click on an ad. Now, let’s say that from all of the people visiting your site from the link embedded in your articles’ resourced boxes, only one person a day actually clicks on an Adsense ad. When you start using Word press to build your Adsense websites, you’ll soon discover what I mean.

Google did go on to implement paid inclusion via Ad Words and Adsense, but basic submission to the index has always been free. An alternative to Adsense ads is to go into some pay-per-lead programs. What I love about Bolger is that once you plug in the Adsense code into your main template, for more details visit to www.instant-adsense-dollars.com a new page is created and Adsense is automatically displayed when you make a post. “Explode Your Google Adsense and Affiliate Commissions through Niche Blog Content Sites” Did you notice the last two words within the quotations.

Housewives, retirees, mom and dads, and others that have never made a dime on the internet have created full-time incomes by simply placing Google Adsense ads on their web sites or blog. Google Adsense fraud is one of the diseases that plague the Ad Words advertisers. Once I clicked on a link for more information – it all goes back to that single click, I was bombarded by the “make a fortune”, “generate massive traffic”, “explode your Adsense revenue”, “capture high paying keywords”, and the rest of the “unlimited profit from Adsense” brigade. Com/Made for Adsense (CS Monitor Article) That article made it appear that the entire Adsense program was a huge underground economy, when in fact that program made it truly viable for legitimate publishers of niche content to do very well for themselves for the first time.

So what are the Google Adsense success secrets that other successful webmasters use to make some great money with their website? Because the Adsense™ program displays advertisements that are so closely related to the website content, it is advantageous to webmasters because the advertisements are actually of interest to website visitors.

There are times, however, when using Adsense makes no sense at all. * If or when you are removed or fined by Google for Adsense abuse, make sure you send copies of your IP address reports along with your re-inclusion request. You also have the option of advertising on Google’s content network which includes all Adsense publishers, clicks from the content network can normally be attained at a lower CPC (cost per click) but this generally doesn’t convert into sales as well as the search network and is more likely to receive fraudulent clicks. But if the site involves you in no work (for example if it sells an e-Book or you generate Adsense income etc from it, then why remove it.

Social Media Marketing- 11 of the Most Critical Words to Use in Social Media in 2009

November 18, 2009 by IBI · Leave a Comment

Conversation.
Yep- that is what the core focus is in Social Media.
Ok- let’s get REAL. If Social Media marketing is about conversation, then should there not be words that fit in to what the culture of social media is all about? Should not you paint a picture with your words? Should your words not elicit feelings and emotions?
Of course they should.
Words are a marketer’s tool box. Here are 11 you need
1) “YOU.”
There is nothing more powerful to a person reading a message or conversation that has the word YOU in it, over and over. Many people have an “I” mentality, and in social media, you are not the deal. The other person or side of the conversation is.
There are 2 forms of conversation in social media::
a) “Contribution” and b) “Distribution.”
” Contribution conversations” contribute to the whole, and add Value to the conversation. “Distribution conversation” distributes the message/agenda you want- and has little inclusion of someone else. Contribution words use YOU many times. Distribution words use “I” or ‘Me” many times. Use the word YOU and become a Contribution Agent in social media, not a distribution rookie.
2) “A Person’s Name.”
Duh. There is nothing more beautiful to a person than their name. This is a given. I am surprised how many tweets, notes, and messages i get and also read that do not say the person’s name. Use their name at least once in every communication and message as it adds to the conversation.
And also, a person will retain almost 70% more of what a message says, if their name is within the first 3 words. Chris Brogan is a master at this. I have seen and studied him, and every time he tweets or sends a message- ususally the name is the first word.
Smart. VERY smart. we all should follow that lead.
3) “Connection.”
This word is an indication that you want to connect and start a relationship of some kind and create an ongoing conversation. Many folks use the phrase “get together” or “meet up” or “network.” Thise words are good- but CONNECT has a power within the word.
Electricity us usable when you connect to it. Same thing as a battery in a car which powers the car. And idea is only powerful when you CONNECT to it. The Power is in the Connection-when 2 things come together. It is the same in new relationships- it is all about CONNECTION.
4) “Tribes.’
This is an interesting word. Seth Godin has a cool book called “Tribes.” I suggest that you read it. But as far as a word for the social media arena, it is a word that helps define that you are within the culture and understand the community aspects of what social media is about.
In tribes around the world, it is all about community and belonging to that community. It is the same in social media. Recently I described the community we are building within a project as an “empowered tribe” and some people got it- and well’others did not.
Make sure if they do not understand the concept of tribes, then you explain it.
5) “Transparent.”
In social media, being REAL is critical. And part of being REAL is being open and transparent. I love it when I read statements like “full disclosure” and people are disclosing that they have an interest or are on some board of a company they are talking about. THAT is so rocking hot. It shows that they are being transparent and nothing to hide and telling the truth.
And that is what social media is about in many respects- TRUTH about you- and what you are and do. THAT is transparency. Use that word when talking about the truth. Just being “transparent” – that says a lot in one word about you.
6) “Strategy.”
Social media without a strategy for it, is like building a house without a blueprint. You need to develop, plan, start, and execute a strategy for your social media success. We call it a “Social Media Path.” What PATH do you plan on developing for your business, and how will that fit into your current model of business? What will be your Primary social media Platform, and what will be your secondary platforms?
PATH stands for “Purpose- Actions-Tracking-How.” what is your PURPOSE for integrating social media into your business? Marketing? Prospecting? Client communication? Customer service? What ACTIONS will it take? Videos? Blogs? Podcasts? Social Networking? What TRACKING system will you use to keep the platforms at maximum pace? And HOW are you going to Execute the Actions? Through employees? Through outsourcing? Through a combination?
Strategy is a word that you just talk about. You need one. And so do others that you know as well.
7) “Branding.”
This word has been around for a while. But you still need it in your focus and communication. Branding is a word that you need to utilize not only in your messages, but your focus as well.
YOU are the Brand is a popular way to discuss social media marketplace image making. But that is not totally true. The PERCEPTION of you is the brand you are building- good or not so good. So make sure that if you use this word in social media this year, you realize that PERCEPTION Rules in Branding.
Brand yourself in the marketplace. But make sure that you focus on the VIEW and FEELINGS people have of you and experience when they think of you—and what you do- and not just some catchy slogan or icon.
8 “Trust.”
You need to be an Agent of Trust. Chris Brogan has a book coming out called “Trust Agents.” Should be a rocking hot book. What about you? Are you an Agent of Trust? Just like a Real Estate Agent markets real estate, you market Trust in all you do. That is the real estate of the heart.
I like to get that word out there quickly-as i believe that people i do not know, that is on their mind. “Can I trust this guy?” And I usually message something like, “Our company helps build leaders and businesses through concepts and ideas that people can trust and feel good about.”
THAT is using the word Trust- to build trust.
9) “Family.”
Some people use “network.” Some use “team.” Some use the word “community.” Some use the word “friends.” I like the word “Family.” it is personal, powerful, and paints a picture of what social media really is building- a family that can help, be there for each other, educate, equip, and empower for greater good.
One thing that I do- and again- just an idea’I welcome everyone on facebook or twitter or youtube or any other social connection with “Welcome to the family!” This says so much more than “thanks for following me” or “appreciate the connection.” We ARE family- and I hope and pray it stays that way.
10) “Value.”
It ia ALL about Value. It is all about the VALUE that YOU bring to the table. It is all about the VALUE of your conversations and contributions.
And it is ALL about the VALUE that you help others see within themselves. Edify. Encourage. Empower. And become a “Carrier of Value” to everyone you meet in social media and GIVE some Value to them.
11) “GIVE.”
This is the MOST important word. GIVE. Why? In social media, it is not the same ol business methodology. It is Biblical- if you will. “Give first- and what you give- you reap.” Giving is the culture of social Media. Why do you think that people give so much rocking hot info on their blogs?
Giving is a Power. It is something that not only is part of the evolving culture of social media, but also the CATALYST of much of what social media has already become. if you are a marketer, New Marketing can be almost threatening to you as it flys in the face of traditional marketing- or does it?
No- not really. It is simply marketing that puts PEOPLE FIRST- not profits. It put RELATIONSHIPS FIRST- not results. And it puts GIVING FIRST- not grabbing for their checkbook.
These are the 11 Critical words that I believe should be included in 2009 in your :
1) Social Media Philosophy.
2) Social Media Conversations.
3) Social Media Marketing Actions.
4) Social Media Core.
If you do, your Success should be rapid in social media marketing.

Choosing an Honest SEO

November 17, 2009 by IBI · Leave a Comment

The point of this article is to help you understand the true value of Search Engine Optimization or SEO. Searching for a reputable company for your SEO and Internet marketing needs, you will come across various companies who promise to deliver you a top ranking for either an extremely low cost or even a flat fee. It is with absolute certainty that none of these companies can deliver these promises because the search engines are constantly evolving and SEO is an ongoing process. For the few companies who can deliver fast results they will likely use fraudulent methods, or black hat SEO tactics. While these tactics can produce results quickly in the short term, they will eventually be discovered and your website will likely be banned from Google as a result. To be able to avoid these methods you need to understand them. We will discuss in length the various SEO Scams you might encounter. Black Hat SEO is any method used to gain a high ranking on the search engines via fraudulent or unethical means. One such method is the use of automated software-designed to quickly submit your website to thousands of directories and search engines instantly. While this method in theory can gain you fast results it is a complete fabrication. First and foremost the directories and search engines are now equipped with safeguards in place to defend against automated submissions. So, the promised submissions are nothing more than submissions. They may promise to submit your site to 1,000 directories, but the do not promise inclusion! The SEO firms who use this method will not always explain in detail how they intend to get you listed in these directories. They promise the 1,000 submissions, but they fail to tell you how they will gain them. Be sure to diligently ask these questions up front to protect your website.Another common black hat method is keyword stuffing. This is a spam method where keywords are literally stuffed on website pages in an unintelligent manner to trick the search engines into thinking your site is the most relevant for those keywords. A step further, these keywords are often barely visible on the site. This method is unethical and can also get you banned from the major search engines. Another fraudulent practice is when an SEO Firm promises you rankings for keywords that nobody is searching for. Usually these are long, run-on phrases. While these rankings are easy to achieve there is no benefit from gaining this ranking. With Black hat and other fraudulent methods of SEO, the main thing to realize is that ethical means exist. The companies who use the unethical methods are those who want to skip the work required to build true rankings. Lastly, here are some items to watch for when you are searching for an Internet Marketing Firm to help you with your SEO needs. 1.Emails from SEO Firms that arrive in your inbox–out of the blue! These are typically email templates and they have zero information within regarding your website or what it is you offer, sell or provide. Instead, it conveys that you are not near the top of the search engines and they offer to help. Reputable companies do not send out SPAM Emails, so be weary of those that do. 2.Be weary of any SEO who fails to explain Search Engine Optimization in full detail. These are guys who usually work out of their garage and often cannot produce the results they promise. 3.Avoid any SEO Company who fails to explain the difference between an organic ranking and a sponsored ranking. Saying, “we’ll get you a top ranking” and then paying for a sponsored ranking where you will be there once or twice a day is not the same as building you an organic ranking-the true heart and soul of SEO. 4.Never trust anybody who claims to be able to provide you with instant rankings for a very low or flat fee. SEO is ongoing, so a flat fee is always suspicious. True Search Engine Optimization is extremely time consuming and full of hard work. Although short cuts exist, they are not worth it. The search engines will eventually catch you and you will pay the price while the SEO Firm moves on without you. Honest SEO Firms treat SEO like a process and never treat it like an event.

Are You a Binge Eater?

November 17, 2009 by IBI · Leave a Comment

Ever wonder if you have a serious problem with binge eating?

In the Harvard Mental Health Letter, I read a feature article
about the treatment of bulimia and binge eating.

Bulimia is defined as 2 or more episodes of binge eating
(consuming a large amount of food in 2 hours or less) at least
twice a week for 3 months. These episodes may be followed by
vomiting or purging (with laxatives or diuretics) and may
alternate with fasting and compulsive exercising.

People who suffer from bulimia often view this behavior as a
shameful secret.

Binge Eating Disorder (binging that is not followed by vomiting,
fasting or exercise) has gotten more attention recently since it
is being considered for inclusion as a psychiatric diagnosis.

The criteria are tentatively listed as “a condition that causes
serious distress with at least 3 of the following symptoms
occurring at least 2 days a week for 6 months:

•eating very fast •eating until uncomfortably full •eating when
not hungry •eating alone •feeling disgusted or guilty afterward

Since most of the population has probably engaged in these
eating behaviors at one time or another, I guess it comes down
to the frequency and severity of the problem.

You can be a binge eater, but you would have to be binging quite
regularly to be considered to have Binge Eating Disorder.

Many people engage in some of these behaviors all the time.
People who live alone often eat alone.

And while eating when you aren’t hungry is not the most
satisfying experience, sometimes it is just an ingrained habit.

You do not have to be overweight to be a binge eater.

Many people with binge eating problems think they are overweight
or are worried that they will become seriously overweight.

Dieting does not necessarily stop the binging and is often
viewed as being part of the problem rather than the solution.

The body resists dieting by slowing metabolism and increasing
appetite, commonly accompanied by an intense preoccupation with
food, more binging, anxiety and depression.

If you are struggling with bulimia or severe binge eating
problems, seek help and get the support you deserve.

Don’t keep it a secret.

You do not need to be heroic and suffer alone.

If you engage in some of the binge eating behaviors, join the
club and keep reading . . .

You can learn to change all of these behaviors, even mild to
moderate binge eating by listening to your body, eating
mindfully and being kind to yourself.

Getting Your Articles in Google News – Myths and Facts

November 14, 2009 by IBI · Leave a Comment

The Google News team made an interesting post titled “Psst… secrets of Google News exposed!” at official Google blog. The post explained about various Myths and facts related with Google news. Posted by Andy Golding, Software Engineer at Google, Andy also shared about how Google include and publish (rank) articles in Google news.

Coming directly to Myths and facts explained.

1. Updating article once it’s included in Google news helps in higher rankings.

False, According to Google the current Google news crawler doesn’t revisit the articles. Every article/news in crawled only once so changing or updating the article will not help at all in fact any changes you make will not be shown at Google news website. I hope Google news crawler will soon have the functionality of revisiting the WebPages.

2. Placing image next to article improves the rankings.

False, Google do include images in news results and displays them next to your news item, but it cannot read the images and rankings purely depends upon text accompanied in your news item and not on having images in the news.

3. Articles with images and video are not included.

True, Google crawler cannot read flash, videos, images and other such type of multimedia content. Thus it’s a fact that if you new release or article doesn’t contain any text accompanying images or multimedia content then it will not be included at all in news results.

4. Time is a major factor for inclusion.

False, Google crawlers are frequently looking for content related to current event and top stories. There are lots of factors that Google algorithms take into consideration and choose the best articles from the cluster for ranking. Publishing articles prior, after or in midst of any event don’t improve any chances of rankings at all.

5. Articles with Google adsense ads rank high in Google news.

False, well this is the most disputed topic among webmasters not only for Google news ranking but also for Google organic results also. Google had always denied this fact and according to goolge spokesman, “Using AdSense doesn’t have any impact upon our ability to crawl or rank your articles. We try to stay as objective as possible, and giving sites with our ads product a boost, well, that wouldn’t be very objective!”

6. Creating sitemap helps.

True, sitemaps may not help in achieving top rankings but they do definitely help in other way like meta data for our article, specifying category the news would be appear, specifying which articles should appear in google news etc.

7. Redesign or change in site structure may affect my coverage in news rankings.

True, any drastic change in website design or structure, layout etc may cause problems with crawling of your article and hence overall coverage over google new may be affected.

It’s lots of bang for lots of buck and it’s a good idea for a new blog. It’s more likely to increase your blog traffic and bring you a good number of new regular readers as well as other bloggers who will put you on their blogrolls or add you to their RSS Feeds. Bloggers can choose a carnival that interests them and submit a post to that carnival. Bloggers who have written a recent article on the Carnival’s topic on their own blog can submit the link for inclusion in the next edition of the Carnival. Simply, submit the name of your blog post, the permalink (if you have one), and your name and email address to the Carnival that has a theme targeted to the article that you have written.Carnivals are like an edited blog magazine, where the blogger will pick top blog posts from around the blogosphere. The Carnivals are generally based around a theme established by the Carnival host. Blog Carnivals are a kind of anthology-on-the-fly, a collection of posts from several blogs. They are roundups of posts on one theme by many different bloggers; they’re intended to help readers who are interested in the theme find new blogs to read. Blog Carnivals are posts, articles, and columns on particular topics which are passed on from different blogs, with each blogger adding their own thoughts and opinions on a subject. Not only are these Carnivals a great and easy way to gain exposure and back links for your blog, they are also a great way to meet people who are interested in your niche products. Blog Carnivals are typically used to create an interest in the niche and to increase product exposure. They are one of the best things a new blog can do to get their name out there. The Carnivals are always looking for great blog articles, and there is a Carnival for almost every topic. Blog Carnivals are an increasingly popular part of the blogosphere and are a way for bloggers to quickly build their traffic, readership, and link popularity. It’s the best way to help bloggers have more fun and be more successful. Directories are Extremely Important for SEO Purposes by JaxWorks SEO & Web

Directories should play a major role in your search engine optimization efforts (well, at least the big and important ones) for the following reasons:

As with most good things in life (and search engine optimization), you need to make efforts to get into quality directories. Although detailed instructions on how to submit your web sites are always provided by the directories, there are certain aspects to consider before you start hunting for directories and submit your web sites:

You will probably come across many directories with paid inclusions: use your common sense to appreciate if it’s worth it or not. A good criteria is to check their Google Page Rank: if it’s at least 3 levels higher than your site’s Page Rank, it’s probably worth spending the money for the inclusion fee. However, do look for directories with a flat, one-time fee rather than recurring monthly or annual fees: you’ll end up spending less money!

In the end, remember a simple rule in search engine optimization: if it’s too easy to get into a directory, it’s probably not worth the effort to get into it!
