Blogging – How Can Improve That Superlative Google Adsense Ad!
November 18, 2009 by IBI · 4 Comments
Why, on your web pages of course. Ok, just kidding. The real question should be: “Is there really any truth to the rumors that where you place those Google Adsense ads can actually improve response?” According to my best information, the answer to that question is: Yes. Google’s own Adsense experts say that that there is a direct correlation between the placement of the Adsense ads and the resulting click through. When ads are placed in “content zones”, rather than in “advertising zones”, response rates on Google Ad Words goes up. There are also indications showing that ads appearing on the right side of the page get clicked more than ads appearing on the left side. Advertising analysts with degrees in human behavior and psychology have spent thousands of man-years (people-years?) studying how people read printed and Internet content and what it takes to get them to respond to ads. While some of these studies are proprietary, or for more details visit to www.instant-blog-and-ping.com are only available to anyone with $10,000 or more to spend on a copy, other studies have been made public and can be read by anyone who is interested.Google themselves has released some relevant information which is focused directly on increasing your Google Adsense response. In Google Adsense, all the webmaster has to do is place a code on his website and Google takes care of the rest. The ads that Google would place on your site would generally be relevant to the content of your site. This would be advantageous both for you and for the advertiser, as the visitors of your site would more or less be actually interested with the products being advertise. Of course, all of the studies in the world aren’t worth a hill of beans if the findings don’t work on your web site. That’s why it is important to test, test and test again. Experiment with your Google Adsense placement and track the results over a period of time. Google provides response tracking tools in your Adsense control panel. Learn how to use them. As you begin to see what may be only subtle differences in response, for more details visit to www.your-own-blog.com you’ll be able to determine what works best for your particular site. But don’t get complacent. What’s working for you now might not work next month if you change your site design or content. One of the most important factors in determining placement of your ads is the type of content that your site delivers. If you are primarily an e-commerce site, and you have a lot of pictures and ad copy for your own products competing for attention against Adsense ads, then it is going to be a particularly tough challenge getting any kind of decent Google Adsense click through. It is situations like this that require very thorough testing and a lot of trial and error.Blogs seem to have a lot of success generating high response rates to Google Adsense listings. Perhaps it’s because blog readers realize that ad revenue is the only way that their favorite blogmaster can keep the lights on, so the readers think of clicking on ads as a way to make a donation.Regardless of what the experts say, your best bet is to tailor your Google Adsense ad placement to what your own experience shows works best for you. In the end, you’re the only expert who matters.

10 Critical Steps to Improve Your Quality Score and to Pay Less For Your Google AdWords Campaigns
November 13, 2009 by IBI · Leave a Comment
Getting a good Google quality score is important to lower the minimum bid price for your keywords on your Google AdWords campaigns. The quality score ranges from 1 to 10, where 10 is best. I think it’s not absolutely necessary to get a quality score of 9 or 10 for all of your keywords, but you should aim to get a quality score of at least 7 or 8 for most of your keywords. How does Google actually calculate the quality score for your keywords? Well there are many different factors that determine your quality score and only Google knows the exact rules. Nevertheless, the following tips and guidelines should allow you a get a sufficiently high quality score – somewhere around 8 or even 9 – for most of your keywords:* Put a privacy policy on your website* Add some valuable content to your site – 5 to 10 short articles containing 300 – 500 words should be enough.* Create some backlinks to your site: For example, submit your articles (or at least a few of them) to various article directories.* Add a “Contact Me” page to your site.* Add an “About” page to your site.* Add a “Resources” page to your site with links to valuable and relevant sites. Consider sites with a high Google Page Rank as well as .edu and .org sites.* Add a sitemap to your site.* Make sure your site is clean, has a professional look and feel and doesn’t contain any “under construction”- or similar pages.* Make sure your ads are relevant. A good practice is to use the keyword you are bidding on in the headline of your ad.* Make sure your landing page is relevant. Don’t try to sell guitar lessons on your landing page when your ad is talking about an easy way to learn piano. You could even create a dedicated landing page for each of your adgroups – although that’s not always necessary.Ok, all this sounds like quite a lot of work, but on the other hand it’s not really that much either. Look, the majority of these pages won’t contain much content, some of these pages could be generated automatically (for example the sitemap), the “Resources” page is just a list of a few links… Also, some of these pages can be easily reused (with a few minor modifications) for other websites and other AdWords campaigns. And following the steps outlined above will not only assure you lower minimum bid prices for your keywords, but they will also drastically increase your sales conversion. Why and how? Let’s have a quick look at the entire process:* Someone searches for a solution to a specific problem on Google* This person finds your ad on the Google search results page and because you used the keyword he was searching for in the headline of your ad, he clicks on it.* He is arrives at your landing page, which delivers what was promised in the ad and contains even more mouth-watering information.* Your site is neat, clean and looks professional. There is a privacy policy, a contact form, a sitemap… * Now you just made a big step towards gaining the trust of your site visitor and you drastically increased your chances that he will sign up for your newsletter, buy your product…So as you can see, the Google quality score isn’t something that was introduced by Google to bother you or to make your life more difficult than it needs to be. It’s just a means to improve quality and you can even look at it as an indicator telling you if your campaign and website is sufficiently sophisticated to become profitable and to generate a positive ROI. So, please do yourself a favor, invest a few hours of your time, follow the suggestions mentioned above and I promise you won’t regret it.

Improve Google PageRank NOW!
November 11, 2009 by IBI · Leave a Comment
PageRank is a link analysis algorithm which was named after its creator – Larry Page. Google uses PageRank to determine the authority of any given website. PageRank often determines how high (or low) a website will rank in the Search Engine Results Pages (SERPs) for any given keyword.
Sites with relatively high PR often outrank those with low PR. While many SEO experts will debate that statement, don’t let them fool you, PageRank is extremely important when it comes to SEO, Google and Organic Search Engine Traffic.
In this post, I want to focus on the factors that determine the PageRank of any given website and how you can deliberately focus on those specific areas of your SEO campaign in order to boost your website’s PageRank to get more organic search engine traffic.
How Google Algorithm is Calculated
For many years, large numbers of internet Heroes, Warriors and Vikings have tried to conquer Google PageRank Algorithm. Many of them have tried to crack the algorithm’s code, but there is yet to be found a man who is capable of such an act of bravery.
Google constantly keeps changing the rules as soon as someone gets even close to cracking their data. However, overtime, great mathematicians have discovered an approximate way of how PageRank works:
PR(A) = (1-d) + d(PR(t1)/C(t1) + … + PR(tn)/C(tn))
In simple terms this equation can be translated into:
a page’s PageRank = 0.15 + 0.85 * (a “share” of the PageRank of every page that links to it)
*Share = The linking page’s PageRank is divided by the number of outbound links
