How to Choose Affiliate Products to Promote

November 18, 2009 by IBI · Leave a Comment

Many people are making great incomes working form home using online affiliate marketing to sell other people’s products. The affiliate is paid a percentage of each sell of the products sold.
There are many important considerations when choosing affiliate programs to promote. Which products you choose to
promote may depend on your experience level. The guidelines in this article are directed to those who are new to internet marketing.
You will want to determine which types of products you want to promote. In the online world of Internet marketing this is referred to as niche marketing. Niches can be on just about any topic from business, to health and fitness, marketing, family and home, fun and entertainment and the lists goes on and on. There are literally thousands of great niches within each of the broader niches.
I recommend choosing a niche that you already have an interest in. It is very difficult to promote a product if you do not have passion about it. It should be something you have a great interest in and that you already know about. You can choose products to promote that you know nothing about but you will need to educate yourself about the products.
Once you have chosen a niche you have an interest in you much chose a product within that niche to promote. The best affiliate products to promote are the ones you have personally tried and found very beneficial to yourself. It is much easier to sale something you yourself are sold on. Your customers will appreciate it so much more if they can hear about your personal experience with the product. Let your customers know what they can expect and how the product will personally benefit them.
In choosing a worthwhile niche and products within that niche you need to do the market research to see if those products are in demand. Google has great tools to help you do your market research. You can use Google’s free keyword tool to assess how many people are looking for the product you want to promote. Go to Google.com/keyword tool. Enter the main keyword that describes the product you want to promote. You will see an approximate search volume for that keyword in the Google search engine for that month. You can see just how many people are searching for that type of product.
You can then go to google.com/trends to see how well that product has been doing over time. With some products you will see a high demand for the product around the time of its launch and then see the trend fall off. Other products will show more of a steady demand for the product. Other products show an upward graph as the demand for this product increases. You should promote products that are in increasing demand or are steady in demand.
There are many good affiliate networks you can choose from to promote affiliate products. Here is a list of the best places to find products to promote.
1. Clickbank.com
2. Paydot.com
3. Commissionjunction.com
4. Linkshare.com
You can go to any of these sites to sign up for a free account and join an affiliate program. You will find an endless supply of products to promote.
Many people make a very good living working from home promoting affiliate products. Remember to choose products you are interested in promoting. Then do your market research to see if there is a demand for these products.

5 Key Internet Network Marketing Tips

November 15, 2009 by IBI · Leave a Comment

Understanding & implementing a simple 5 point system that works is one of the most important aspects in rapidly growing your online network marketing business. With the right system in place working for you 24/7 your internet network marketing business is guaranteed to rapidly grow.

The internet is flooded with internet network marketing tips and sometimes sorting the the bad from the good can be difficult. This article will give you the basics on how you can maximize the potential of your internet business by generating a constant flow of prospects to your sales funnel. 5 Key Internet Network Marketing Tips If you are just making the transition of  your network marketing business online then you’ll need to have an effective but simple plan in place. Below you will find 5 tips that will help you on the journey to generating more leads and making your business a phenomenal success. 1. Article marketing is a great place to start. Don’t just write one article hoping that it will do the trick and bring leads flooding in. You’ll need to create a consistent amount of  top quality articles. A suggested number to write is 2 every month minimum for the first month, and then begin to submit articles to around 5 of the larger online article directories. 2. Start a campaign using Web 2.0 properties. Web 2.0 sites are in abundance on the internet so make sure you create a website that focuses on a single long tail keyword phrase. An example would be using a term such as internet marketing tips if that is what your content is focused on. 3. Create a branding blog. Tools such as Wordpress are great tools and a blog will provide you with the chance to brand yourself. Often, branding is ignored by network marketers, but the main reason for using one is to give your readers essential information so that they begin to trust you and give you respect as someone who is an expert in their field. 4. Make comments on other blogs. Try to find blogs that are similar to your niche topic and read them. Once you think you have something important and relevant to say leave a comment and create a link that will take visitors back to your website or blog. 5. Become a member of good quality forums that are focused on internet network marketing tips and become involved. Forums let you include a signature at the bottom of each post, but don’t add this until you have posted a few comments and earned the respect of other members of the forum.

Free Twitter Tools: Tools For Twitter to Automate, Systmatize, and Amass Thousands of Followers!

November 6, 2009 by IBI · Leave a Comment

Okay, so I’ll admit it. I wasn’t the first to jump on this Twitter Bandwagon. I just didn’t understand the point of it. C’mon… what can someone possibly say in just 140 characters?

Twitter itself is a microblog. I consider is a condensed personal website: a place for me to share my thoughts, feelings, recommendations and insights, while connecting with like minded individuals.

In a few minutes per day, you can amass hundreds if not thousands of followers in a matter of weeks. In fact, I’ve only been actively using twitter for one month, and I already have 2000 followers! Can you believe that?

But like anything I look for tools.

Free Twitter Tools that can help us systematize, automate, customize… the whole works!

I found some great tools that I wanted to share with you today with how to implement twitter in your day-to-day life, without becoming a nusance or a hassle.

Free Twitter Tool #1 – TweetDeck
tweetdeck.com

I had no idea HOW to navigate twitter or retweet or DM or whatchamacallit til I downloaded TweetDeck. It’s an application you can have going on in the background of your computer that puts your twitter account into easy to read columns. Column one is your following’s tweets. Column two is incoming messages/retweets. Column three is private direct messages (or DM’s).

You can also tweet directly from TweetDeck, customize with beautiful colors, and interlink with Facebook status updates.

Free Twitter Tool #2 – TweetLater
tweetlater.com

Ahhh…the productivity tool for busy tweeple.
~ Schedule tweets for a specific day and time. “Set it and forget it!”
~ Track keywords in tweets
~ Automate DM’s to new followers of yours
~ Unfollow those who unfollow you – automatically!
~ Purge your DM inbox to keep it tidy
… and so much more!

I love TweetLater because I am able to schedule my set tweets for the day. These include specific quotes, blogs, articles, Bible verses that I want to share. Systematically and consistently each day. Then, throughout the day and week, I can go in my twitter and add random tweets and talk to people… but I’m not being sporadic. I find that consistency/practicability works best with Social Media.

Free Twitter Tool #3 – BubbleTweet

You just have to see this. Check out my friend Kary making a BubbleTweet.

Free Twitter Tool #4 – Custom Twitter Backgrounds

mytweetspace.com
twitterimage.com
twitwall.com
twitterpatterns.com
colourlovers.com

I read it best: “Generic is only good for prescriptions!”

Twitter currently offers 12 stock backgrounds along with pleasing preset colors for the elements on the page. You can also modify the colors of the overall background, text, links, sidebar background and the sidebar border. The first thing any twitter user should do is CHANGE the generic background, unless you don’t like standing out from the crowd, in which case you can stop reading now.

Switching backgrounds and changing the color palette of your Twitter page is easy to do. Simply select “Settings” in the top row of links on your Twitter page, click on the “Design” tab and then either select a “theme” or click on “Change background image” or “Change design colors” and get creative.

Don’t worry about goofing anything up. Any changes you make will not be visible to anyone but you until you click “save”. It doesn’t matter what kind of background you upload or create for your twitter page, just make it about you!

(Not all all) Free Twitter Tool #5: Twitter Friend Adder
(sorry, I couldn’t leave this awesome tool out just because it costs money!)

Hey, in the beginning, you probably can do this manually. But the best way that I’ve grown my twitter following by 2000 people in about 30 days was by using Twitter Friend Adder.

It’s $50, one time, can you can use the software for life! Add 90-110 friends (ie: you follow them) per day. Etiquette with twitter is that you follow back. So naturally, this is going to grow your follower base!

But remember, people won’t follow for long if:

A) You haven’t uploaded a picture of yourself and customized your page (see Tool #4)
B) You aren’t actively communicating with anyone (I have about 30 people I talk to weekly)
C) You have WAY more following than followers. So try to keep it even alright?

Make Money Online With Social Networking!

November 4, 2009 by IBI · Leave a Comment

Social Networks are great tools for business and also fun ways to meet and interact with people whose path you would not likely cross going about your usual day. You can also communicate directly with people whom you would likely find it very difficult, if not impossible, to reach using conventional means.

One important point to know is that these networks were not created as a place just for promoting your zen-cart online store. If your posts only focus on your store – if you engage in direct, endless promotions, for more details visit to www.82-money-pocket.com you will not be an interesting person to follow, and if no-one is following you, you won’t have an audience for anything you want to say or share. You should give (tips, resources, responses to questions, etc.) more than you get (opportunities for talking about your online store and products).

However, it is possible to promote your zen-cart store if you sprinkle that in between your other posts. If you don’t abuse the self-promotions, you can attract visitors to your store. One great benefit to participating on these sites is others can get to know you. Word-of-mouth recommendations are popular on these sites. As you know, people like to do business with people they know so when you participate, for more details visit to www.be-an-air-courier.com you are opening your sphere of opportunities. Below I have given a short overview of four social networking sites. These are my favorites; in fact, you’re welcome to come follow me on Twitter and Facebook.

Facebook

Join groups to meet people in your target market. Business interest groups abound as do networks organized by city, region, school and workplace. You’ll find zen-cart groups and other business-related groups of interest. You can also connect with friends and keep up with them when they post updates, which will appear on your home page.

Twitter
One of the most interesting of the social networking site in that people communicate using only 140 spaces and characters. This means you must be concise with your message. You can follow anyone you like and/or they can follow you. When you post a message, it appears on the personal home page of everyone who is following you. Use it to keep up with issues, trends, influencers and other information that would be too time-consuming to gather using other means.

This site is especially nice in that you can customize the background and many have done so using their logo and website colors.

YouTube.com

Post videos on using products from your online store or “how to” instructions for installing or assembling, etc. and watch as you attract new users. Also great for viral marketing videos, the kind that pull at your heart strings, or make you laugh out loud. Include your store’s website address along with a call to action on the last screen and if it’s good enough, people will pass it around, increasing the exposure – and visits – to your online store.

Ryze
Designed for entrepreneurs and business professionals, this site has groups that you can easily join or you can start one of your own. Groups communicate using a forum-like setting. You can see the postings of members and respond to any of them. Great for meeting like-minded people for the purpose of sharing or exploring mostly business related topics.

While these groups generally do not allow blatant advertising, you can usually use your signature to include a link to your online store along with a tagline. Getting started with any of these sites is as simple as registering for a free account. Visit each one to learn more as they all have many additional features than I have mentioned, and you will find even more uses than are covered here. These sites are great for meeting new friends, keeping up with your interest areas, stumbling across breaking news and posting your own updates about your specialty area, as well as posts about your store (new products, sales, coupons, etc.). Social networking: It’s a great way to meet new friends and potential customers and clients, and for people to get to know – and recommend – you and your online store.

SEO Tips For Newbies

October 31, 2009 by IBI · Leave a Comment

SEO or search engine optimization knowledge is critical for the person starting out in e-commerce. Whether you want to blog, run an online store or do anything else successfully online, you need to figure out how to get noticed by search engines so that people can find you. Understanding SEO is critical for anyone who wants to be successful in online enterprise.

An important aspect of search engine optimization is the fact that you need to invest time and effort into your website on a regular basis in order get traffic and keep traffic continuously increasing. If you allow your website to sit and collect cobwebs it won’t do much for you.

SEO Tip #1:

There isn’t a magical formula; at least not one that’s evergreen so it’s important to stay current on SEO news. Dig deep to find information and read everything you can. You’ll find conflicting information at times but knowledge is power so absorb as much SEO news as you can.

SEO Tip # 2:

Create an easy to follow design with a standard homepage, easily viewable links and a site index. This way, people and search engines can find their way around easily and so can people.

SEO Tip # 3:

Determine what your target keywords are. There are some great tools out there that can help you both for free or for a small fee. Often it’s fairly easy to figure this out on your own.

Ask yourself:

What are the top three to five words or phrases you would use if you were use to search for the product or topic you are selling? Be sure that those words are on each page of your website, especially in titles, headings and at the beginning, middle and end of each page. It’s a good idea to use variations as well to give your site further credibility and increase the Long Tail.

SEO Tip # 4:

SEO Fact : Content is king. Always will be. Don’t assume that more is better in terms of keywords. Do not fall victim to the temptation to simply keyword stuff your site otherwise two things will happen. First, you’ll get banned by the search engines and even worse, you’ll be ignored by the humans who land on your page. Both types of visitors can see through vain SEO attempts to trick you to get onto their site.

Instead, you want to target the fine line between having enough keyword relevancy to make it impossible for the search engines to ignore you but not so much that your human visitors find your content to be poor quality. Hire a professional SEO article writer if you have to in order to come across as professional. Keep fresh content on your pages and change your content regularly. You don’t have to waste what you’ve put effort and money into, instead move your old content into archives so it continues to work for you as well.

SEO Tip # 5:

Web 2.0 is all about social networking. Social networking, social book marking, forum posting and link exchanges can be invaluable If you can get high ranking websites in your niche to exchange links with you, this can help. If you are blogging, comment on other blogs in your niche to get a link back to your site and generate interest from bloggers that frequent other sites in your niche. If you use tools like Technorati, Digg, StumbleUpon and other social book marking tools on your pages with appropriate tagging, you can bring relevant traffic fairly quickly and it’s viral so others will do the same. Social networking activities are also indexed by the search engines.

In summary, there are basic to advanced seo techniques and seo tips that you can use to get noticed by the big three search engines. Your results will depend a lot on how narrow your niche is but there are some basic things you can do to be search engine friendly from the start. It’s never too late to optimize your site though so don’t lose heart if you didn’t follow this advice on your website from the beginning. Here are some basic ideas. This is not an exhaustive list but is a great place to start.
