So you want to be one page one google and page one bing? PAGE ONE GOOGLE are you kidding me? For any keyword?Yes, I am telling you it is entirely possible to be on page one of Google and page one of Bing and all the major search engines (and the minor ones for that matter-but why? hardly anyone uses those). First of all to get on page one of Google or Bing you have to think about this: There is already someone on page one of google and page two of google! So what does that mean? It means if there is already someone there, then YOU can be there! Someone has already done it!You just have to be as smart about getting there as they were, or smarter! ]I charge a ton of money to get people there because what I have discovered over the past 15 years works! plain and simple. For those who want to get their company and website to page one Google and page one Bing, listen up, I am going to tell you a few key points to help you get there……..or rather, what NOT to do!Why would you want to be on page one of Google or Bing anyway? All that traffic, all that attention……haven’t you worked long and hard enough so you now deserve to be hidden and not noticed? GET OFF of YOUR Quest to be on page one of Google……Make sure you are following these items exactly! Here are a few DO and DON’TS (Don’t do the following unless you WANT to be one page one Google or page one Bing)1. Do NOT put your keyword in your URL- Google doesnt like that, and when researching for relevancy, people always like to have to look deep for their answers, it makes them feel better.2. Do NOT include your Keyword in your domain name – It just confuses people and especially the search engine spiders3. Never include your keyword in your title tag – This practice is sure to get you banned!4. Don’t put you keyword in your description tag either! EVER!5. Don’t even think of including your keyword in your H1, H2, or H3 tags – They are there just for looks!6. Don’t use any keywords in your Alt test image tags – no one uses computers that are old or slower anymore!7. Over stuff your index page with your keywords, the more the better……..Google won’t even notice!8. Link your site to other websites that have nothing to do with your product, company or service.9. Immediately send your visitors to another page other than the one they clicked on, using meta refresh10. Place your keywords in invisible text on each page!11. Never use any anchor text in inbound links to your site.12. Don’t get listed in sites like DMOZ directory. People do not need to find you!13. Getting listed in Yahoo’s directory is way overrated, DON’T do it!14. If you have a site that is older than 1 year, dump it. Site age works against you, Google likes new and fresh sites! (call me before you do this and we’ll dispose of your old site, heh heh)15. Cloak your site so that when you present one page to the search engine spider, you present another to everyone else – Google loves to guess!16. Buy all your links from link farms! For sure! Google likes it when you “think outside the box”17. Be sure and put all your text into graphic format, so that the search spiders can see them better18. DO NOT build links over time and make sure, do not try to build links with other sites that have high page ranks or happen to be in the same industry as yours. 5 Ways to Be Worth Following on Twitter

November 7, 2009 by IBI · Leave a Comment

I should start off by admitting that I am a Twitterholic and unapologetically addicted to Twitter. I utilize it to build personal and business relationships and to stay in tuned with the outside world.  As with any social network, there are tried and true principles to grow your community of followers.  The following is a brief summary outlining five area.

1) Be Personal

In an inherently personal online environmental such as Twitter, no one likes to feel that they are getting spammed.  People are more likely to follow you and subsequently read your tweets if you sound like you’re providing something interesting to read or watch.  I’d also recommend turning the automated direct messages that are obviously impersonal, especially when they lead to a sales offer.

2) Be Informative

There’s more to Twitter than just answering the question: “What are you doing right now?” Provide value by offering quality information on topics that interest you and would likely interest your following.  I have followers who continually track the most read blogs, and then tweet the high quality posts.  Remember that not all helpful information has to be your own. You can easily pass on informative tweets to your following and garner respect of twitter users by retweeting the original message.

3) Be Interesting

Tweeting about what you’re thinking or doing is more acceptable when you do it in an interesting or humorous way.  Boring tweets are the essence of what puts Twitter at the butt of social media jokes, and giving a mundane play-by-play of your life will reduce your followers over time.  By contrast, I enjoy following those who enhance my mood with clever one-liners – even if they’re just recapping what they had for lunch.  For example @rocksinmydryer could have said, “I hate dieting” but instead wrote “May I just say, for the record, that PORTION CONTROL STINKS? Thank you, that is all.”

4) Be Interactive

Avoid being a “hit and run” tweeter, where you only log in to tell everyone what you are doing or link to your blog post and leave.  Instead, take time to respond to tweets and personal messages, ask interesting questions and answer questions.  Look at Twitter as one big web of conversations as opposed to a single monologue.  The more you participate the more you will get out of it, and the faster your community will grow.

5) Be Promotional

It’s okay to promote your own work as long as you’re not exclusively self-promoting.  I respect those who link to their recent posts on Twitter, and am more likely to follow the links when provided in this way.  It helps when you choose not to access your feed reader to catch up on your favorite bloggers.  In short, be sure that your promotion or sales offer is wrapped by good content your followers can use regardless of whether they choose to buy from you.

Achieving the proper blend of these five elements will undoubtedly enhance your twitter following and your overall satisfaction.  I wish you luck and look forwarding to see your tweets soon!

Free Twitter Marketing Tools – Optimizing Twitter to Get a Massive Following

November 6, 2009 by IBI · Leave a Comment

You may have heard of an internet sensation called Twitter.  The concept of this site is simple:  update people on what you’re currently doing in one hundred forty characters or less.  You can follow people, people can follow you, you can quote what other people are saying and you can reply to what other people are saying.  Twitter essentially creates a fast paced interactive and massive community with similar interests.  So what?

When you join a club or sport, you typically join because you share an interest in that area.  Likewise, you follow people on Twitter because you share a common interest.  Since there’s no limit as to how many followers you can have, you can be in contact with thousands of people with one simple update.  It gets better though.  Imagine thousands of followers in your target market because having a large number of people following you is meaningless if there is no common interest.  If you have thousands of people following you because they have an interest in network marketing, then you have struck gold.

How do you leverage Twitter to create a massive following in your target market though?  How can you have thousands of followers without eating all the hours of your day?  The key is automation.  I have prepared a list of free Twitter marketing tools to aid you in building a massive following.  The three tools I will be talking about are:

-Twitter Karma
-Tweetree
-Tweet Later

Twitter Karma is a tool that helps you maintain a balance between people you are following and people following you.  Twitter Karma allows you to sort users in different categories primarily users that you are following but they aren’t following back, and users that are following you but you aren’t following them back.  Essentially, you just check all and either click bulk follow or bulk unfollow.  Make sure to wait about ten minutes between each submission.  That’s it.  You have a good ratio for your following/followers.

The next tool is called Tweetree.  The main thing you want to use Tweetree for is for the Retweet (RT) button and managing conversations with other users.  Remember, retweeting is simply quoting another user, and usually requires you to type everything out.   With Tweetree, there is a button when you move your mouse over a tweet and an RT button appears.  Simply click that button and hit send.  Now there is no more typing for retweets.  The second function is managing conversations.  Sometimes other users respond to your tweet, but you don’t check until later.  The time gap can lead to confusion as to what the response was referring to.  Tweetree puts a user’s response indented under your tweet so you can continue a conversation and not worry about forgetting what it was all about.

Lastly, Tweet Later is for auto-pilot use.   The main benefits of using this service is to have an automated welcome message and auto follow/unfollow actions.  To edit these settings follow these steps:
1.    Log in to Tweet Later
2.    Click Accounts
3.    Click List Accounts
4.    Click Edit

From here you can edit all automation methods you want to carry out.  Make sure to check the auto welcome box and type in your welcome message.  A word of advice for typing out your welcome message:  Do not post your affiliate link.  There are many Twitter users posting affiliate links in their welcome messages and it makes interaction very impersonal.  Instead, type a friendly message thanking them for following you and link them to a place of value.  Now when I say place of value I mean a blog, Youtube channel, articles page or Facebook.  All of these are acceptable places to lead new followers to, because it builds a personal connection and not the dreaded sales pitch.

If you want to rotate welcome messages, there is a link right above the text box that shows you how to do that.  You may want to rotate people going to your Facebook, blog or articles, so that’s a great way to send traffic everywhere.

Next you want to check automatically follow people and check automatically unfollow people.  These two options help keep your following and follower ratio in check.

That’s it.  These three free Twitter marketing tools will help you build a massive and target following to leverage your online business.  However, automated software can only do so much.  You need to interact with other users through reply messages and retweets.  Just like any business, developing relationships with people is the only way to rapidly grow your business.  By interacting with other users and applying these tools, your following will grow your Twitter following in no time.

To Discourage People From Following You on Twitter — Do These 9 Things

November 6, 2009 by IBI · Leave a Comment

Twitter is an extremely powerful social networking tool if you understand how to use it effectively. While it takes whole books to explain the most important elements of using Twitter effectively, below is a list of the top 9 things to do IF you want to discourage people from following you.

(On the other hand, if you want to encourage people to follow you, do the opposite of these actions.)

If you want to telegraph to potential Twitter followers that you don’t know very much about Twitter or branding yourself or a business, keep the Twitter default background. It’s uninteresting and thus says you’re not that invested in learning how to use Twitter effectively. (Using one of the Twitter-provided templates and changing the colors is better than the default background, but not by much.)

If you want to make sure that potential Twitter followers have no idea what your name is, your URL, and your bio information, use dark type on a dark background. In this case it’s almost impossible to read anything.

If you want potential Twitter followers to be unable to recognize you at an in-person tweetup or conference or elsewhere, use a photo that blocks your eyes or a photo of your dog as your Twitter profile photo.

If you want to convince potential Twitter followers that you are an uninteresting person, be sure and tweet constantly about what you had for breakfast, lunch, dinner and late-night snacks. (The exception to this is if you are in the food business and are actually sharing informative tweets on food.)

If you want to demonstrate to potential Twitter followers that you are only about self-promotion, be sure to only tweet about your own products and services.

If you want to showcase that you do not actually participate on Twitter, make sure that all your tweets are automatic feeds from your blog posts.

If you want to demonstrate further that you are not actually participating on Twitter, be sure to never respond to any replies sent to you.

If you want to get a reputation as unhelpful on Twitter (a social networking site that is all about being helpful and sharing information), make sure to refuse help to someone when he or she asks you for it.

If you want to demonstrate even further that you aren’t pulling your weight in the Twitter community, send a tweet only once every 10 days or so. Potential followers will clearly get the message you are NOT on Twitter to engage in conversation.

Here’s the bottom line: If you aren’t going to actively engage in Twitter and share valuable information with potential followers, why bother to be on Twitter at all? Instead of being a half-hearted Twitter participant, find a social networking site that you truly like and participate there. Leave Twitter to those people who truly enjoy tweeting.

Making the most of your twitter following

November 5, 2009 by IBI · Leave a Comment

Twitter is excellent targeted marketing you can reach your customer base and inform them of offers and other tidbits about you and your company.

What happens if you look at who is following you and find it’s not your target market?

The first thing to do is look at your twitter strategy, your overall plan on how you are going to make it work for you. If you don’t have a plan then perhaps now is the time to make one.

Getting the followers you want….
I live in front of a golf course, my dog escapes onto the golf course and I have tweeted this, I now have a stream of golfers following me, nice but they are not potential customers to me, they are not likely to call me and ask me to deliver a new set of tees to the 9th hole now are they?!!!

They find me because they search for golf. When was the last time you did a tweet search? When did you last do a search on twitter home page for your keyphrases? Go and do one now, do you come up in the search on the first few pages?

If you do then there is a good chance potential customers will find you. Don’t panic if you didn’t, it’s not the end of the world but remember there is a fine line between being found for your keywords / phrases and spamming twitter.

Make a point of tweeting once a day a link to your blog, so you are known for what you do. It can be articles or posts you wrote some time ago, fresh content is good but again it’s not the end of the world if you don’t have it – you can establish that you have been doing what you doing for a long time and are very experienced. If you have the time you can freshen up those articles and entice your current readers to revisit your older material.

If you don’t have your own blog then post your articles here and then tweet them. Article websites gets a huge amount of search engine traffic and potential customers also get to click through and find your profile. More info than they can find in 140 characters – you do have more information on your profile don’t you?

Right back to getting the followers you want…
There is a lot of emphasis on ‘local’ and ‘local’ is very important. You are more likely to meet a fellow twitterer if they are local. If you meet them and you ‘click’ you are more likely to get recommended. So that golfer who plays golf behind my house and follows me on twitter has a purpose after all!

Do a local search for twitter users in your local area, make contact with them, follow them and promote local tweetups (yep, they are really called that). Check out your local events pages if you want to see whats happening in your area in the next few weeks.

Build relationships, retweet something someone interesting has said. Tweet an interesting non work related link, start a conversation. More importantly every now and then ask your followers who they would recommend you connect with who are looking for your services. Connect with their suggestions and start building a relationship there too.

Sounds like hard work? well no one said it was easy but it can pay dividends. Try it for twenty minutes a day for 6 weeks and see what a difference it makes to your business.

Make Money Being Online By Following These 2 Concepts

November 5, 2009 by IBI · Leave a Comment

Countless training courses and ebooks have been produced on how to make money being online. In this article, we want to present 2 very basic concepts that you must always follow if you want to earn money online.

1. Always be very careful about any advice that you accept. There are many people online who like to call themselves experts in their field. These people will take money away from anyone who wants to part from it and give back very little or nothing in return.

This kind of thing unfortunately happens quite frequently. Many so called gurus make a few sales with their new Internet business and then, since they think they are experts, decide to get involved in the “how to make money being online market”.

Don’t get me wrong, this market is very credible for the individuals who know what they are talking about. Anyone who is new to Internet marketing, however, needs to be wary about where they get their advice and whether or not they are dealing with legitimate information sources.

If you want to check up on someone’s credentials, it is best to go to the top Internet marketing forums and then post a question about them. One of the top forums for posting these types of queries is the Warrior Forum.

One place to acquire good online advice is through the various social networking sites. A good place to start with this would be Twitter.com. Here, you can build up a friends list and then read their updates.

2. The second major concept that applies if you want to make money being online is that most of your online effort should be dedicated to marketing your business. Further to this concept, you will need to establish a blog and then try to post to it everyday.

Both readers and search engines love blogs. If you are worried about how to run your blog successfully, there are many online resources that can teach you this. One of the best resources on the net for teaching about blogging is ProBlogger.net.

ProBlogger.net is what is known as an authority site as there is a lot of excellent quality content available to you that you can use on your blog. By following the advice of other successful bloggers from this site, you can learn everything you need to know to be successful yourself.

With blogging, you can write about things that you enjoy and are knowledgeable about and you can make money in the process. Over the long term, it also allows you to create a lot of free traffic. In the end, if your blog is really good, you will attract a lot of traffic, so selling products as well as earning money in other ways will be easy.

In summary then, these are 2 concepts that you absolutely must follow if you want to make money being online. First of all, be very careful about where take your advice from and, second, set up a blog and start posting to it regularly. Once your blog is running, learn how to do it very well.

How To Get Twitter Followers Fast – Start a Massive Following Today

November 4, 2009 by IBI · Leave a Comment

Twitter is one of the internet’s newest social marketing crazes. Twitter is reshaping the way that people think about traditional marketing and is spawning a new generation of web 2.0 marketing gurus. One of the keys to marketing with Twitter is to gain a large targeted following. Learning how to get Twitter followers fast is easy if you have the right resources.

First, here are some Twitter Following Limits You Should Know.

There are some Twitter following limits you should be aware of. Twitter limits the number of people that you can follow in an attempt to reduce the spamming activity that is prevalent on Twitter. Currently I have over 3000 followers but have hit some limits along the way. Once you reach 500 followers Twitter will put a hold on your following activities and will make your followers catch up to the 500 mark. Once you catch up and now have 500 followers per 500 people that you follow, you will now have the 10% rule applied. The 10% rule will only allow you to follow 10% more people than are currently following you. You have to build your account by these rules but there are some strategies to lessen the time that it would naturally take for your followers to grow.

How to get Twitter Followers Fast – Getting Targeted Followers

Targeted followers are the key with Twitter marketing. The more people that you have on your Twitter account that are interested in the products or services that you are marketing, the more success you will have. One of the best ways to do this is to search for people that are Tweeting about the Niche that you are in. Once you find a handful of people that are tweeting about your topics, check out their bios to see if they are in your niche. If they are, look at their followers and simply follow all of those people. A lot of people now have auto followers that will automatically follow you back but to really get Twitter followers fast you will have to unfollow the people that do not follow you back. I usually give them about 3 days to follow and then I will unfollow them using a free website called Twitter Karma. Just Google it and you will find it. Regularly doing this will allow you to keep adding followers with out stalling out by the 10% rule.

How to Get Twitter Followers Fast – Marketing

There are a lot of facets to learning how to market effectively on Twitter and there is still a lot of research taking place to find the best methods. The main Cardinal rule is that you should not spam people with an endless amount of Affiliate links. Instead spend some time retweeting interesting tweets an using the @ reply feature to start conversations.

One of the best resources that I have found to date is The Tweet Tank. The Tweet Tank not only shows you many more tricks on how to get Twitter Followers fast, it also shows you how to effectively market to them on complete auto pilot. This program will show you how to gain 20,000 followers in about 90 days and will make you a good income in the process. One of the things that I love about this program is that it is easy enough for the total newbie to jump aboard an make money but it also teaches the advanced marketer some tricks that are not publicly on the web. In my experience I was able to make my money back with this system in less then a week. ( I got a sale at about the 500 follower mark) It is ridiculously cheap and worth every dime.Tweet Tank

Twitter – why having a huge following is great for business and how to attract more followers

November 1, 2009 by IBI · Leave a Comment

I’m the first to admit I was a bit slow on the uptake for Twitter.  My husband had been nagging me for months to get on to Twitter and use it as a way to grow my businesses.  To be honest, I had my doubts.  How could a 160 character update attract anyone to follow me, let alone have any positive impact on my business?  And what on earth was I going to tweet about?

Then I stumbled across a ‘how-to’ program which helped me see the light.  I paid around $US25 for the program and was amazed by what I learnt.   I’m so impressed that I’m sharing this new-found knowledge with Home Biz Chicks subscribers.

Why Twitter? Twitter is the fastest growing social networking medium in the world.  There are millions of users online every day conversing about things they’re interested in – whether that is personal stuff, hobbies, or business.   The beauty of Twitter is that is groups together people who are interested in the same thing, so you can easily find consumers who might be interested in your products.

The stats are interesting – I know of a user who has 16,000 followers.  On average, around 400 people click on the links in his tweets each and every time.  If that link goes to a web site with a product to sell, he’s got 400 new prospects every time he tweets.

How to make the most of Twitter: The key here is to automate your Twitter account as much as possible.  You also need to tweet about something that is interesting (but the good news is you can automate that too!). Here are the steps I’ve followed:

1. Upload an engaging photo of yourself looking directly into the camera.

2.    Upload an interesting bio – something funny, personal, cheeky, engaging – anything that can capture attention.  Mine says “Home Biz Chicks evangelist, white chocoholic, PR Queen, Greece nut, mother to 1 and a half, step mother to 2, doting wife, BandB fan, fearlessly determined” .  I am amazed by how many people have commented on my bio since I changed it from the standard professional profile.

3.    Personalise your page by going to mytweetspace.com. You can add images, a banner, text, anything that shows you’ve taken the time create something unique.

4.    Update the design of your home page by using the Settings Tab and Design.

5.    Send an automatic response to everyone who follows you. This is especially powerful if you want to send a link to drive people to opt in to your list. The product recommends using an affiliate response which I haven’t done – mine is offering the report “How to Generate Free Publicity For Your Home Based Business”. Go to tweetlater.com and follow the links to auto welcome and auto follow.

6.    Find people to follow who are interested in the things you offer. Did you know it’s twitter etiquette to follow people who follow you?  The key to generating more followers is to follow more people yourself, who are then likely to follow you back.  Find people who are interested in what you have to offer by visiting twollo.com and then adding key words to your searches.  You can also find people using Twitter’s yellow pages directory which is twellow.com.

7.    Create content for your tweets. So, how do you keep people engaged?  The trick is to post useful information about your topic, regardless of whether it comes from your web site or someone else’s.  If you’re constantly tweeting about your subject, people will notice and begin to view you as an expert in the field, who knows where to find some great information.  Do this by creating google alerts using key words for your industry.  Set up a gmail account for the alerts to be delivered to, and then set them up as an RSS feed.  Set up an account with twitterfeed.com, add the HTML code from your alerts into your account and shorten the link using tinyurl (there are drop down boxes for each step). These alerts will then automatically feed into your twitter update every few hours, giving you timely and interesting content that you don’t need to spend hours researching.  If you have products to sell, tweet about those too.

Follow these guidelines and you too will see your followers skyrocket.
