So What Is A True Copywriter?
November 19, 2009 by IBI · Leave a Comment
Obviously a copywriter has something to do with writing. Copywriters can work for themselves as individuals or they can have a variety of clients. A copywriter can work with such places as corporations, advertising agencies, magazines, and so much more.
Most of the time a copywriter will work as parting of an advertising group. Usually, the copywriter has the original responsibility for the advertisement as far as what its going to say, how it will read, and the contents that go into the advertisement itself.
It’s always a good idea for the copywriter to come up with the best ideas and the most effective word content even if the copywriter has to do research on the advertisement.
Believe it or not because the copywriters that are working in advertising and different agencies, copywriters because of the similarities in words think that copywriters have something to do with copyrighting and the laws dealing with copyright.
These are two different careers and are not even in the least related. The only similarity of a copywriter would come with that of a technical writer and their careers may overlap to a certain extent. However technical writing and the technical writer’s job is to inform readers rather than to persuade them.
For instance, a copywriter will write an ad so sell a house, and all its benefits, accessories and potential. While, a technical writer would do writing about the building of the house, the blueprints, the materials and those areas. So, initially there are differences in the copywriter as to the technical writer.
When a copywriter is asked to do a job, they concentrate on “selling” the product through the importance of words. The way they are arranged and the best things concerning the product. Such as why you would benefit from the product.
Internet copywriters are often called on as a team for a website, to of course do the advertising on the web site. While the others in the teams do their assigned parts making it into a great and productive web site. One that will generate traffic, show the people the benefits of the web site products and other aspects of the web site.
Internet copywriters can be expensive, however they take on the ultimate responsibility of literally turning a web site or an advertisement for a web site into a glamorous, why you need to visit web site, or buy the product on the advertisement, by the use of only the words they are writing. Sometimes this can be very difficult for various items or products and sometimes they also have to do research on certain products in order to do the very best job at which they have been assigned.
If products on a web site don’t sell, it is not going to be anyone’s doings but the one who has written up the description of the product or the information on the web site, which of course is in fact the copywriter.
This is why some copywriters get paid as well as they do, their jobs are important; however most copywriters are very good at what they do.
Getting Free Traffic to Your Home Business Blog
November 19, 2009 by IBI · Leave a Comment
Having a blog isn’t quite as simple as if you build it, they will come. Certainly, web crawlers such as Google will eventually pick up on your content and may return a link to your weblog if someone searches for relevant keywords, but there are more surefire ways to get your blog noticed.
First, it’s critical that your blog content is valuable to your audience – you should know your members or audience and have some idea of what they will want to read. Your aim is to inform, entertain or otherwise engage your audience to such an extent that they will be inclined to return on a daily basis (or at least frequently) to see what you have to say.
Finally, it’s important to understand the concept of popularity on the Internet. Quite simply, the more links to your web content there are on the Internet, the more people will find you through search engines and other websites.
Listed below are a couple of enterprising ways to accomplish that:
Track Backs and Link Backs. Start by using your own web pages to link back to your blog. Post comments on other website’s blogs. Link to hot topics and comments in other blogs. A little effort from you will be reciprocated with links from others.
Blog Carnivals. Blog carnivals are like magazines. They gather links to blogs on the same topics and publish an edition (an article) of a blog carnival on a particular topic, offering commentary on the various blog articles mentioned. The editor or organizer of the carnival chooses how often the edition is published and people subscribe to topics they’re interested in. Networks and blog rings work in a similar manner.
Blog Search Engines. Imagine Google for the blogosphere. By using specific tags, your blog and its contents become easier to find by one of the blog traffic providers.
Pinging. A Ping is when you set up your blog so that people tracking your blog get instant notification every time you update the blog. Whichever blog system you’re using, you simply set up your preferences to notify specific blog tracking sites whenever your
blog has fresh content.
Blogging isn’t a difficult task to learn, but the upkeep of providing constant content can have a draining effect on you if you’re already pressed for time. Make sure your audience knows how often you’ll commit to updating your blog, and then find a way to
have several weeks or more of blog entries readily available when you need them.

Bing – The New Search Engine From Microsoft
November 18, 2009 by IBI · Leave a Comment
Bing is the new search engine from Microsoft, who is aiming to rival Google as the recognised search engine. Bing believes there is plenty of improvement that can be made in search. At the moment only around 25% of searches are successful, so there is room for improvement there. If Bing can return more accurate search results then they could have an advantage of Google, Yahoo, and others.
Bing has some nice features that differentiate it from the other search engines. Once a term is searched for it offers refined search terms down the left hand side of the page. For example if someone search for Times, the results that appear at the top of the page are World Time Server, a Wikipedia page about time, and Time Magazine’s site. In addition on the left hand side of the page are a list of options, including Train Times, Radio Times, Time Online (the Times newspaper site), and World Time. This allows the visitor to refine their search so it is more specific to what they are looking for. Once they refine their search they have further options within this new search. So if World Time is clicked on, option such as World Time Zones, World Time Difference and World Time Server appear. In some ways this serves a similar role to Google Suggest, where options appear under the search box as you are typing a term into Google. The advantage Bing’s version has is that it goes deeper than just the original search. Research shows that it can take a long time to find what you are searching for, and this is one way that Bing is attempting to make that long search shorter. Users want relevance from their search results and help with complex searches, and to a certain extent this feature helps.
Something that Bing considers important is having a more locally focussed search engine. They aim to make the US version much different from the UK version and the other territories. For example if someone is searching for Victoria in the UK version, they are unlikely to want returns about Victoria in the mid West of America, Canada or Australia. The UK version will therefore return results referring to Victoria in London or Queen Victoria.
Another feature in Bing is that you can hover the mouse cursor just to the right of the results, and a blurb about the site appears. This consists of some text that describes what is in the site. This can save the visitor time as there is no need to go into sites that doesn’t offer what you are interested in.
Something that Bing is attempting to develop is a Fair Price Predictor for flights. This will tell users if a particular flight is likely to go up or down in price. This will aid the user, as they can then wait to book if it is predicted that the price will decrease, or book immediately if it is predicted to rise. Microsoft claims that this will be 80% accurate.

Maintain a successful business blog
November 18, 2009 by IBI · Leave a Comment
The culture of blogging is slowly evolving in businesses. The term ‘business blogs’ is now seen in marketing campaigns of many businesses. It can be to communicate with the customers or to provide knowledge to the employees; business blog is proved an efficient method for many businesses. But it is as important to maintain a blog efficiently as creating one.Quality of content Size of the content is not the parameter in making a blog successful. If it would have been the case, all the blogs around 40,000 estimated that are posted each day, might have been popular. It is only those blogs, which have quality content, deserve to achieve its target of reaching more readers. The success of a business blog is determined in terms of its traffic in most of the situations. Quality content helps the blogger to keep his blog alive and grow. And the blogger must have extent of time commitment in posting his blogs. It can be scheduled on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis, but the content of the blog must be updated actively to keep the blog active.Managing periodicity in bloggingThere will be many experiences in a life of an average person that strikes him with an inspiration to write a blog. There are no restrictions of time or place for the inspiration to write a post for personal blogging. Nevertheless, for a business blog, time commitment in creating and posting content is crucial.Whenever you are hit with an inspiration that you think would be good to include in your business blog, just note down those. It would be good to fix a certain time to accumulate all those thoughts into the blog. When you have too many thoughts at same time, you can save some for other day where you are dried up of ideas. Time commitment doesn’t just keeps your blog active, it also reflexes your commitment and discipline as a businessperson.Interactive blogging to engage customersIt may be wrong to assume that you have to write your blog only formally and with corporative voice, since it is a business blog. It may affect your blog in adverse way. Many successful business blogs are interactive with the targeted readers. They have a passion in them that gives the readers an ease to read and to deliver your message in a simple and straight manner. The number of blog visitors is increasing each day, simultaneously with the number of blog posts. This provides a tremendous opportunity to leverage businesses through blogging.
