It’s fun to follow to follow others on Twitter. But, who should you follow? This article is not about who you should follow, rather it is the Dark Side — it is about who you should not follow.
PORN
The first category may be obvious but it needs to be brought up to the level of awareness so you are conscious of this when you happily race out to follow others. You can spot porn two ways:
-the photograph is wildly seductive and professional
-the name selected is seductive
Be on the lookout for such Twitterers. They are not breaking any Twitter rules, they are simply likely not the kind of client or friend you wish to attract on Twitter.
NO PHOTO
My own personal rule is that I never follow anyone who has not posted a photo. I want to engage with my Twitter followers. If someone cannot even bother to post a photo, then they are likely not really involved in the Twitter experience. If you are following people in the expectation that they will follow you back, then the no-photo crowd is unlikely a fertile ground for you.
RANDOM
You can randomly just click-click-click-click happily along following everyone in sight. You will quickly grow your list you follow and many will follow you back, but so what? What value will that be? They will not likely be people who share any interests with you so it is unlikely they will engage when you tweet them about your area of interest. And, if you wish to monetize Twitter, it is unlikely they are potential customers.
In summary, I do not follow porn, not those without a photo, nor do I just randomly follow anyone. This is how I grow my Twitter presence consciously.

Learn and use the “Sand Dune” Technique to dramatically increase your number of relevant Twitter followers.
First you need to know Twitter’s Two Commandments:
-Thou Shalt Not Follow More Than 2000 Twitterers at the beginning of your Twitter Life.
-When Thou Followest 2000 Twitterers, Thou Must Keepeth Thy Number of Followers within 10% of the Number of those Whom you follow
Now, we can abide by the Two Commandments and also use the “Sand Dune” Technique for growing our Twitter presence.
STRIDE UP THE SAND DUNE
As soon as you open your Twitter account, race out there and follow as many relevant other Twitterers as you wish. If you are a florist in Cincinnati, then find as many single men in that town as you can and follow them all. They are relevant to you. If you are a Realtor who help people buy investment real estate, then race out there and find as many people in your city or your state or in your country who wish to get rich in real estate. Do Twitter searches with relevant key words and you will find what you seek. In this way, you will race up the Sand Dune.
PAUSE AND REST ON THE SAND DUNE
Eventually, you will slam up against Commandment One, following 2000 Twitterers. You cannot follow any more. You cannot race up the Sand Dune any more. You must stop. You pause. You rest.
Soon, some of those 2000 you have followed will open their account and be notified that you have followed them. The Twitter culture is that people openly and willingly like to follow back. So, you have paused at following 2000 others and soon you will have 10, then 20, then 30 followers. Roughly speaking, anywhere from 10% to 50% of those whom you follow will follow you back.
After a few days of pause, you may be following 2000 and you may have maybe 500 followers.
SLIDE DOWN THE SAND DUNE
Now, unfollow the other 1500 you are following. You can tell by clicking on your list of those you follow. The ones with DM mean that you can send them a DM (a direct message). Without the DM means that they have not followed you back. Unfollow those ungrateful Twitterers.
Now, you have slid down the sand to following 500 and having 500 followers.
STRIDE BACK UP THE SAND DUNE
Now follow 1500 different relevant Twitterers.
PAUSE, SLIDE DOWN, STRIDE UP, PAUSE, SLIDE DOWN, STRIDE UP, ETC.
Again you are at your limit of following 2000 but now you have 500 followers. Soon, you’ll be at maybe 900 followers. Keep redoing this process. Soon, you will reach the magic number of 1819 followers. Now you can breach the 2000 ceiling and get up to following 2001.
Eventually, you will have 3000 followers and be able to follow 3300. Eventually you will have 4000 followers and be able to follow 4400. And so on it goes. You stride up, you pause to catch your breath, you slide down and stride back up again.
That is the “Sand Dune” Technique for growing your Twitter presence. Best of success.

You are reading this because you have likely just come across Twitter, or you’ve heard of it but are not really sure what it is or how to use it.

What is Twitter?
Twitter is the world’s preeminent “micro-blogging” social networking website. It was launched in March 2006. Even though it is so new, it has skyrocketed to dominance and is considered by many to be equal in importance to Facebook!
It is a social networking platform in which people invite you to follow them. Here’s an example. Let’s say a friend of yours, Albert, invites you, Bill, to follow him on Twitter. You may accept him (by clicking on the ACCEPT button) or you may reject that offer (by clicking on the BLOCK button).
You might block:
• People you do not know
• People you do not like
• People whose culture or morals do not fit with yours (like blocking porn stars)
Even if you accept someone, you could later block that person if, for example, you realize that they just want to sell and are not on Twitter for the true social networking ideals.
In this example, let’s say that Bill accepts Albert’s invitation. Now, Albert has one Follower (or one more Follower) and Bill now is Following Albert. Bill is now in the Twitter system and can invite Carol to follow him. You get onto Twitter by invitation because you must follow someone. In this way, a community is built. Albert has his community of those he follows and those who follow him. And, it is the same for Bill, and for Carol, and for the millions who are on this platform.
Twitter Popularized The “Micro-Blog”
Emails can be as long as you wish, with attachments as huge as you wish. Blog posts can be as long as you wish. Articles are limited to a maximum of about 1,500 words. But, comments posted on Twitter are limited to 140 characters – even including spaces!
In this era of speed in which no one seems to have any time, Twitter popularized updating your friends and sending text-based Direct Messages (called DMs) using only 140 characters. Here’s one I just posted today:
“I’m sitting in my hotel room in Gold Coast Australia writing an ezine article on Twitter.”
That’s 89 characters including spaces and punctuation. I could stop there, or add more. How do I know it’s 89? Because Twitter automatically counts down for me and displays that I had 51 characters to go. So, I kept going.
Now I am at 167 characters. But, I’m allowed only 140. Twitter’s counter (now red) shows me at -27. That means I need to eliminate at least 27 characters. I realize that the comment “Though I live in Canada” is not too important because my Twitter followers likely know that. So here is my next attempt:
“I’m sitting in my hotel room in Gold Coast Australia writing an ezine article on Twitter. I’m here giving a speech for World Internet Summit.”
That brings me down to -3. I’m almost there. So, I delete one of the spaces between my two sentences. I’m at -2. Then, I delete the entire word “sitting” and I’m done. I hit the UPDATE button and my dozens or thousands of Twitter Followers know what’s up in my life. It’s easy. It’s fun. It’s free.
Why Is Twitter So Successful?
Twitter’s success is based on two principles important to social networking:
• Firstly, it is really easy to use and understand.
• Secondly, it takes only seconds to post or to read a micro-blog.
How You Can Double Your Income Using Twitter
You simply increase your number of Twitter Followers, build a relationship with them, then offer them something that they may well like.
Tweets (that is, messages sent to Followers on Twitter) are more eagerly read than mass-emails. So, there is a greater connection and a greater opportunity to monetize your list of Twitter Followers.
The Number One Key then is to dramatically increase your Twitter Followership.
The Steps to Increasing your Twitter Followership
Here are the steps to getting your list started…
• Open a Twitter account and post a photo as that is part of the fun of Twitter.
• Ask someone, by email or phone, to invite you or accept a Twitter invitation that arrives.
• Using Twitter’s search function, find friends of yours and invite them.
• Next, decide the type of Twitter Followers you would like to attract. Let me use an example. If you love scented candles (or wish to sell scented candles online through Twitter), then search for “candle” or “candles” or “scented candles” or “fragrance” or “relax” or whatever other key words you feel would find you the type of friend (or customer) you want.
• Each search will return to you a list of Twitter members. Read down the list and click the FOLLOW button for those whom you feel resonate with you. It’s totally your choice.
• Keep doing this and two things will happen.
o Firstly, you will be following lots of people.
o Secondly, some of them will eagerly follow you back.
o Thirdly, you will begin getting Tweets which you need to answer.
You are now beginning to have fun on Twitter. Congratulations. People will send you Tweets or DMs (Direct Messages). You need to reply. And, you need to initiate micro-blogs like the one I constructed earlier in this article.
Soon you will follow 2,000 other Twitterers. At this point, you may well have several hundred Followers. The difference is too large and Twitter will prevent you from following any more. With each day, more people will find and follow you so your ratio will improve. To follow more than 2,000 others on Twitter, you must keep your number of followers within about 10% of the number you follow. When you follow 2,000, you will need to wait till 1,800 follow you. But, there is a short-cut. Read on to the Second DO below.
Here Are the All-Important Twitter DO’s
The very first DO is: use your real name “Mary McGregor” so that others can find you. You may also use a nickname. I don’t.
The second DO has to do with speeding the process of getting more followers. Simply wait for several days after following someone and then delete them if they do not follow you back. How do you know? Just look at the list of those you follow. If you see a “DM” or “Direct Message” button, then they are following you. If it is blank, then they have not followed you. You may wish to go through that entire list and purge (or delete) anyone who has not followed you. Now, your ratio is in balance and you can go out inviting more and getting more followers.
The third DO is about keeping in touch. Each day, send a micro-blog of anything that is on your mind, a fun website you’ve found, etc.
The fourth DO is to reply to DMs sent to you.
The fifth DO (and you must wait till you have earned a relationship) is to offer something for sale, but in a conversational way. Here’s an example…
“WOW, I just found the world’s funniest video. I laughed like crazy. Check it out on my blog http://www.MyBlog.com.”
That just fits within the 140-character ceiling. If you’ve built good relationships and if the video is really funny and if the video is about scented candles in some way and if there is a compelling offer to buy scented candles on your blog website, then you will begin getting sales!
And the final DO is about publicizing your Twitter membership. Put on your business card and in your email signature and everywhere: “Follow me on Twitter.com/yourname”
And, Now For the Even More Important DON’Ts
Firstly, DON’T begin selling too soon.
Secondly, DON’T make your sell obvious. Make it conversational.
Thirdly, DON’T ignore DMs. They are what creates the social networking.
DON’T lose interest. Once you have created this network, you need to mother it to nurture it.
And, The Final Point …
Have fun. It’s easy. It’s fast. It really works.

Why would you want more Twitter Followers? What would you do with them? How will that help you? Isn’t Twitter just for kids? Learn the answers to these questions and learn how to monetize Twitter!
I challenge you to see how many Twitter followers you can create in just 24 hours! Of course, once you get started, you can keep going forever. But, for now, let’s just see what you can do in 24 hours. One of my clients got as many as 605 Twitter Followers from NOTHING in 24 hours. Can you break that record?
WHY – When you have more Twitter Followers, you can market to them and make money. Also, they are more people on your database!
DETAILS – Here’s what you do:
-DECIDE to dramatically increase your database using Twitter for free
-START at a specific date and time, like 6pm Saturday Jan 17
-OPEN a Twitter account (if you do not already have one – it takes only about one minute). Remember to use your name as your account so that people can easily find you. To figure out your Twitter address you simply append “/yourname” after the “.com”. Ensure that you create a Profile of at least your name and city so that people can find you.
-FIND people who are your typical clients and follow them, hoping that they will follow you back. Most will.
-Then, look at their followers and click on those whom you find interesting. You can even go deeper and look into THEIR followers and click on those whom you find interesting.
-CHECK your followers every half-hour and click to follow them. This way your network will increase and people will more easily find you.
-CONTINUE following others AND following those who request to follow you. Keep doing it. Over and over. Every half-hour. Keep at it.
-TWEET comments all day long, anything that you may be thinking.
-If you have an iPhone, you can purchase an iPhone App called “Tweetie” which allows you to Tweet while you roam around in your life. You can even add photos.
-NOTICE that you will be unable to follow anyone when you have followed 2000 others. This is Twitter’s attempt to prevent Twitter-spamming.
-UNFOLLOW those who do not follow you after a while. That will allow you to keep following others and having those new names hopefully follow you.
-END the challenge in exactly 24 hours.
-COMMENT on this article stating the number of Twitter followers you were able to create in 24 hours.

A year ago, almost no one had heard of Twitter. Today, it is catching on. Within a year, everyone will have heard about it. Soon, practically everyone will be on it. So, how can you make money with Twitter? How can you monetize Twitter? It’s easy. There are 4 easy steps.
STEP ONE … OPEN AN ACCOUNT
I know it sounds quite basic, but you cannot get rich until you at least first just show up. So, show up. Join the game. Open a Twitter account. It takes just a minute or so. Choose your name. So, for example, Jack Canfield is jackcanfield. It has to be all one string of letters, no spaces. If your name is taken, like billsmith, then create a version of it. If you are a Realtor in Miami, then try billsmithmiamirealtor, as an example. You get the idea.
Hot tip — be sure to upload a photo because you are not taken seriously on Twitter without a photo. Also, complete the Profile so people can learn a little about you.
STEP TWO … DECIDE WHO YOUR BEST CUSTOMERS ARE
If you know someone by name, then hunt for their Twitter presence by clicking on the FIND PEOPLE button at the top right corner, enter their name in the search box, and search. Try it. As soon as you find me or any friend or client or potential client, click on the FOLLOW button right under that person’s photo. You know for sure that I’m on Twitter so that’s an easy first search which will be for sure successful.
Besides searching for individual people, you can search for lists of potential customers. For example, if you are a florist in New York, find other florists in New York on Twitter and then follow everyone who follows them or whom they follow. Why? Because people who follow another florist are likely clients of your florist company. People who follow another Realtor are likely clients of your Realtor business. People who follow another car salesman or car dealership are likely clients of your car dealership. Just follow and follow and follow. Others will follow you back and your Twitter presence will grow.
STEP THREE … ENGAGE YOUR FOLLOWERS
Send your followers brief messages. These messages are called “tweets” and cannot exceed 140 characters. So, it’s easy and takes only seconds. Just send interesting little ideas or facts about your business.
STEP FOUR … MAKE AN OFFER OCCASIONALLY
Do not overdo this, but occasionally make an offer by sending out a tweet to your followers. They will respond if you have selected relevant followers and if you have engaged them honorably up till then.

For new blogger the most simple and easy way to make money is display Google Adsense on their blog. This article will talk to WordPress bloggers who are interesting in making money with their blog.
WordPress provides many great plugins that support Adsense Publishers. I already tried dozen of such plugins for last 3 years. So now I am writing to introduce to you the best one for increasing the CTR (click through rate).
This is “Adsense Under Image” Plug in. In the next words, I will show you how to use it and how come from the benefits of using this plugin?
1. Install and activate the plugin “Adsense Under Image” (Log in to Dashboard, and search this plugin when you are on Add Plugin Page)
2. Insert one image for each blog post. Make sure the width of all image is same, and is either 336 or 468
3. The adsense now will automatically appear under the image on your post.
4. Configure the plugin:
Creat an Adsense Unit with its width same with image’s with (336 or 468). Blend its color with your blog color scheme.
Copy and Paste the code into Plugin Configure Page.
As you see the image with draw the attention of the visistors. The under-image-adsense will easily get noticed. The visitor naturally browse the links (click) on this ads unit. The CTR increases drammatically!
Some notice:
1. The (336×300) unit works the best.
2. Put also ALR tag for the image. It helps for SEO (mean increase traffic) and ads relevancy.
