The process of studying and getting to know their affiliate products better is a step that most affiliate marketer will not do. Most of them will be thinking of only the amount of money that they can earn if they promote and not the idea of giving value to the customer. This is a mistake which all affiliate marketers should avoid.
You will never really promote the products well enough until you know it well. Why? The reasons are:
1. You will be able to endorse the products with authority if you know the products well enough.
2. You will be motivated to promote the products if you actually used the products before and you find it to be a very good product.
3. If you study the sales letter or product, you will be able to see in a new angle the ways which you can use to promote the product.
Although it is not possible to buy every product that you are going to promote, the least that you should do is to study the sales letter and do some research on the product. You will have at least had some ideas on whether the product is worth promoting or not.
If you decided to focus on just one affiliate products which will be your main products, it will be advisable to buy the product yourself so that you have more understanding. Besides you being able to experience the merchant’s sales process, you will also own and understand the product better.
So in conclusion, if you want to promote any affiliate product, it will be better to spend some time on knowing and understanding the products that you are going to promote. This will definitely increase your income if you bother to take action.

Today one of my clients asked me the million dollar question about whether or not he should sell advertising on his company blog.
My answer, every time a client asks me this, is…
Hmmm.
The reason I always stop to think about my answer to the blog advertisement question is that it’s different for each client, different for each blog. Because each blog has different goals and different reasons for their existence.
And each client is different. Knowing this particular client is a big fan of contextual advertising (Adsense, Yahoo Publisher, etc) I had to hesitate a bit before I answered him. Because in this case, contextual advertising would hurt the client much more than it would help him.
The reason why is because this particular client offers a service in which he receives a large payment should his users decide to contract him. Several thousand dollars for each new client.
But stop and think about what he receives if they come to his site and click one of those contextually targeted links. You guessed it, they are going to click on one of his COMPETITORS links being served on his website. It’s not a long stretch to come to the conclusion that he just sold a client that might have paid him several thousand dollars for a couple of bucks. Maybe less, maybe a couple of pennies.
The reason advertisers use contextual networks like Adsense is because they work. It’s cheap advertising that can effectively steal clients from their competition. For a few cents a click they might just nab one of your clients right off your website and pull down the sale you could have had if you had not served up the ads.
Yes, there are ways to configure your Adsense ads to exclude specific websites, but bet your bottom dollar that some of your competitors are going to target your site, somehow, someway. If you are offering them the doorway for a small price, they are going to pay it and see if they can convert your users.
A better plan for service oriented sites such as the client in question is to optimize the site and work on the sales approach. Simply speaking, to CLOSE THE SALE with the users you have. Not to look for pennies when you could be making dollars.
If you can’t convert the traffic you have, then a couple of different things could be wrong.
* You could have really low traffic
* You could have the wrong traffic
* Or your content is not capable of SELLING what you are offering
All three issues can be solved with some optimizing, with some strategy. But you need to know which it is first. To fix a problem, you need to first pin down what the problem is.
So be objective. If your sales text sucks, recognize that it sucks, move on, and FIX IT.
Set the goal in your mind to make your site a success. Then take action to get it done. You can be at the top. All it takes is a little elbow grease.

The common thread of social media marketers is that they connect with the world, the people, and their surroundings. These people are connecting, communicating and reach out to others. Always sharing and giving news and ideas. The main interest is other people, always sharing and being active in the interest of others. To be successful in Social Media one must be active in it. Social Media marketers are communicators.
A good Social Media marketer knows the area. Look at it like a map. You must know the layout and the terrain. Understand the products, the people you are reaching out to, understand the industry you are promoting. An expert Social Media marketer must understand the Internet as if they are a member of the community and they know, understand and gain the trust of that community. You will fail if you do not have the working knowledge of customers, markets, and the complete picture of the company’s product. Knowing the Internet, using it most effectively and being able to distribute the information is very important.
Proficiency in the various social web community is the main goal of a good Social Media marketer. One that connects, an information resource at the same time being very trustful and an active participant, a conversationalist in the social media community.
Ideally, a Social Media marketer, not really “marketer”, is a person with many qualities, Web Marketer, Customer Service and PR combined with genuine enthusiasm, trustfulness (listening, speaking, a conversationalists).
Do not let all of the tools, peer pressures, and work get in the way of the big picture, our morals and knowledge that develop significant and gratifying associations. As an expert in Social Media, we must have the ability to conclude which networks are pertinent to the product/service we represent. And why, how and when to fit into place.
The conclusion, those who find the most success in the social media marketing territory are those who are seriously networked and make certain that continue constant associations is part of their everyday routine.

There are millions of articles on the web that teaches people how to increase their page rank. Some of these articles have gave Google’s page rank a very high importance by presenting them as the most important thing a website owner should look for.
In order to determine whether Google’s page rank is really useful or not we have to look at it from two different angles. How Page rank affects your website’s traffic and how does it affect the sales of your products. After all, the only sources of income you can get out of a website are advertisements (which depend on traffic) and selling products (either selling your products or selling through affiliate programs) so it makes absolute sense to examine those two major factors since they are the ones that are responsible for your website’s revenue.
From the experience I have in the E-business world and after developing many websites that generate respectable monthly income I can confidently say that Google’s page rank has a minimal effect on your website’s traffic or even a non existent effect.
What determines the position of your website in the search results are hundreds of factors that might include the page rank In between them. I have seen tons of websites having a page rank of Zero yet they are being displayed on the top 10 results in Google’s search.
I also ran a website that jumped from a rank of zero to a rank of four without any noticeable increase in Google’s traffic. So the conclusion is, Google’s page rank might be having a little effect on your search engine’s traffic but this is effect is so small that it cannot prevent a well optimized website having a rank of zero from appearing on the top of the results.
In my article, how to increase my EBook sales, I described how trust can be the most important factor that lets a visitor buys your products online. The more trust you can build in the visitor the more likely is he to buy your product. Some consumers, but not all, can trust websites that have a higher page rank because it gives them the feeling that their money isn’t going to be lost.
The “S” word scares most of online users and that’s why they never buy from a website unless they make sure that it’s not a Scam. A higher page rank also helps users know that Google respects your site and so this gives your site and your products further credit.
Yes it is, but not when it comes to traffic, it can only help consumers perceive your website in a better way and it can help them have more trust in it. To summarize this in one line, Google’s page rank may not affect your traffic but it will defiantly affect your sales and the way people perceive your website.

Organic traffic is traffic that comes to your website naturally and without being driven there by any specific paid marketing campaign. With organic traffic website surfers are there because they found the site when they clicked on your resource box in your article. The main engine for organic traffic is article writing. To ensure you understand how to start getting your share of these amazing marketing system, type into your browser “organic traffic”.
The results you get on the right are paid and the results you see on the left are organic and normally unpaid. Let us examine the methods you can start using right now to start generating your share. Organic traffic usually happens in the same way that you might browse the bookshelf at your local bookstore or library for something in a specific area of interest and discover that little treasure that contains all the answers you’re seeking. This is what the Web was all about when it was first created. The main sources of organic traffic include referrals from other Web sites (links), referrals from search engines, and URLs placed on business cards or letterheads. The best way to get organic traffic from referrals from other websites is to write articles that contain useful content that is needed by these website owners. A top criterion for them using your content is they must include your resource box which includes a clickable link to your website in the article.
If the reader of your article likes your information he or she may click on your website link in your resource box to find out more. The trick is to call for action in your conclusion. If your information is genuine, the reader might just click on your website link in your resource box to check your site out and thereby given you an opportunity to sell your products displayed on your website.
Referrals from search engines. Organic traffic from search engines is based on complex formulas and explanations can be compared to the tax laws. I will you some known facts that will get you started immediately. The search engines in order to determine popularity have spiders crawl the web looking for links. Accordingly, the more links pointing to your website from other websites or link directories tells the search engines your site is relevant and must have something interesting for all this other websites to link to yours. Now, how you generate this links and the way they are counted or measured is open to major dispute and false claims.
The best ways to start generating this links is to start writing articles that is relevant to what web surfers are looking for and in the bottom of the article you place your website URL in the resource box. Use the same method you find in the resource box of this article, just use your own words to start getting your share of organic traffic. You submit your article to article distribution sites like Articlesdynamic for distribution to website owners looking for relevant contents.
Submit your articles to at least ten other articles distribution sites. When other website owners use your article you get a link pointing to your website. I have seen one article become so popular that in two months is has generated thousands of links for the writer. Your best bet is to just keep writing unique articles with relevant keywords and submit them to article distribution directories. I know website owners that write and submit fifteen to twenty articles a month. Just imagine the links pointing back to your site and the search engines will reward you with an ever increasing share of organic traffic relevant to your website.
URLs placed on business cards or letterheads or emails. Another effective method to generate organic traffic is to start including your website URL in your business cards, letterheads or emails. Since you have no idea who might need your services, it is in your best interest to invite everyone. I usually include my business card with any bill I pay through the mail. I also include my website in my emails.
Use the above methods to generate organic traffic. Be cautious about scams that promise to give you dramatic search engine placements. From experience the only placement that happened was my money got placed in their pocket with no visible results. You can also buy articles just make sure you’re the only original owner. Plr articles sold to hundreds of individuals are a waste. Buy only unique articles. The above techniques will get you an ever increasing share of organic traffic that can become an avalanche as long as you continue writing and submitting unique article content.
