Business blogs of moving and transportation services can help attract customers

November 19, 2009 by IBI · Leave a Comment

Business blogs of moving and transportation services can help attract customers.

Savvy customers now look for more ways than one to identify the services most suited for them. Real user recommendation is the most powerful marketing. The self storage blogs or moving blogs are places, where people discuss the relative merits and demerits of storage services. In fact, anyone who has used storage or moving services can share his/her experience with the whole world.

Blogs Can Benefit Businesses

People trust people more than they trust companies or businesses. Encouraging your customers to enter positive remarks about your company can help you win the business of savvy internet users. The other side is also true. The whole world will know it if you give less than perfect services to your customers. Specialized blogs targeting shoppers of self storage facilities are now available in large numbers. In fact, most of the self storage facilities in United States remain unoccupied.

Blogs Can Benefit Customers

If you are looking for a self storage facility, you can also benefit from self storage blogs. You can search the whole of blogosphere by entering the name of the self storage service(s) that you plan to use. There will be at least one person who has blogged about the service. You can find what kind of service the customers have received in the past. If you like what you see, you can go for the service. If you think the self storage service charged more than is needed or put unnecessary hindrances, you can move on.

When it comes to storage or moving blogs, you don’t have to trust what the business says. You can instead put your trust on people who have received the services. You can then help others by leaving a comment on the service you have used.

How To Comment On Self Storage Facilities

When you are at a self storage or moving related blog, you can share your experiences at the appropriate area. Instead of vaguely telling ‘good’ or ‘bad’, tell what kind of experience you have had.

If you don’t like a service, briefly describe the problem you faced. It may be delay in picking up or release of the storage containers. The problem can also be charging you for days you haven’t used the facilities. Your review can help other customers to stay away from such businesses.

If you have received good services, describe the parts you have liked about them. Is it prompt support, affordable prices or willingness to help you with packing? Tell in detail what you like or dislike about a company. This can also help the businesses make changes so that they can ensure a positive experience for future customers.

Businesses That Ignore Blogs Ignore Customers

Blogs are the places where customers’ voices can be heard. Keep in mind that your potential customers are listening to your existing and past customers. It is also a good idea to extend your public relations action to the blogosphere, answering queries by customers and potential customers. It can stop antagonism from growing. It also helps you grow your business. Blogs are the new human face of business. Ignoring this human value is like ignoring the whole of your customers. Thus, moving and storage companies can make better use of blogs as an efficient marketing tool.

Storage blogs are a perfect place to discuss your requirements, look for storage service provideretc. For more information visit us at www.selfstoragesocialnetwork.com

Join The “dofollow” Community And Attract More Visitors To Your Blog

November 16, 2009 by IBI · 1 Comment

Technorati estimate that there are over 175,000 new blogs
created every day; while existing blogs are updated 18 times every second, or 1.6 million new posts written every 24 hours.
This is a phenomenal amount of blogging and if you have started your own site you may well wonder how you will find an audience amongst so much other output.
The truth is, you’ve got a hard job on your hands to find a readership. There is absolutely no doubt that everybody in the blogosphere will advise you that you need quality content because no matter what tricks you pull to attract new visitors they will not come back again unless you offer great articles and commentary for your niche.
It is fine now and again to write short items promoting other people’s work or a video you have found on YouTube, but the meat of your blog must be interesting, well-researched and well-thought through articles. If you love the niche you are part of then this will come naturally.
Don’t start off with massive amounts of enthusiasm and then a few months later sag because you have burnt yourself out. It’s best not to publish more than one post per week or you’ll quickly run out of ideas – quality takes time, and quality beats quantity every time.
Don’t expect more than 10 visitors to you blog on any one day during the first six months of its life. For starters, it takes at least six to nine months before Google and Yahoo seriously begins to index the pages of you blog for inclusion in their rankings.
There are many, many ways of publicising your blog. You could add it to MyBlogLog and BlogCatalog and then start interacting with other bloggers in your niche, you could also post up the URL in the forums that you are a part of. Don’t forget to submit it to some free directories.
Another way is to join the “dofollow” community.
In January 2005 Google introduced the nofollow attribute. This adds the following code to a HTML link: rel=”nofollow”. Simplified, this puts a stop sign on the door by telling the search engine bot not to count the webpage in its ranking calculations, and as every person involved in SEO will tell you: build lots of inbound quality links in order to do well in the search engines.
Over night in 2005 the Google game changed as blogging platforms like Wordpress slapped nofollow all over blog comments. Millions and millions of links were now discounted.
Some bloggers though were not happy about this change. They knew that this wouldn’t stop spam and so continued to leave off the nofollow attribute. This became known as “dofollow”, although in actual fact there is no snippet of code which reads as such.
“Dofollow” simply means the absence of the nofollow attribute.
These refuseniks wanted to reward their regular commentators with a little link love. Why shouldn’t they receive a little boost for the time they take to engage with my blog, they theorised.
“Dofollow” is an incentive for your readers to comment often and come back regularly.
So, if you are a blog owner then how do you make a switch to “dofollow”?
Well, that depends on what software you use. The best idea is to visit DoFollow 001 and read the article “Dofollow” Guidelines for Webmasters and Bloggers.
This will give you advice and ideas on how to join the “dofollow” community.
Once you have flipped your website over, sign-up with DoFollow 001 and submit your website to its directory.

Search Engine Submission Tools Attract Traffic Like Bees to Honey!

November 14, 2009 by IBI · Leave a Comment

Search engine submission tools make it easy for webmasters to submit their website URLs to search engines. Most webmasters would have one or two of these search engine submission tools in their arsenal for website promotion. Without them, search engine submission does not reach its full potential as a traffic generation technique. This article would explain why search engine submission is critical to a website’s success and why search engine submission tools are must-have tools in every webmaster’s toolkit.

What is search engine submission? Webmasters since the start of the internet age saw the importance of search engines as a free source of traffic. Having your website listed, ie indexed in major search engines is like listing your home in the street directory so that people may find you. People only hear of the big names such as Google, Yahoo and MSN, but they do not know that even these big search engines are actually networks of smaller search engines, in the tune of thousands of them.

Though approximately 80% of search engine traffic comes from the 3 major search engines, the smaller search engines still account for a sizeable 20%. Do not belittle how much traffic they can bring to your website. Therefore, it is important to submit to these smaller search engines. Unfortunately, manual submission without the aid of search engine submission tools can be taxing in time and energies. Most webmasters would rather work on building content and more websites than to do data-entry.

As I have mentioned, submitting to thousands of search engines manually is tedious. Time is of essence to successful webmasters. People have resorted to free search engine submission tools or online services. Sad to say, a lot of these free services or tools are buggy and your submission is either incomplete or under wrong categories. In both cases, your submissions are rejected – a complete waste of time and effort. It can be costly to submit to each major search engine such as Yahoo, for inclusion. There are online paid search engine submission services but tread carefully as many of them don’t deliver decent submission results. Those which do provide excellent search engine submission services can be pretty costly for a new webmaster.

There is another alternative for search engine submission that is, using search engine submission tools such as search engine submission software. These tools are capable of either submitting semi-automatically or automatically to a preloaded list of search engines. Submission is systematic and saves a great deal of time. These search engine submission tools are relatively cheap when we measure it in terms of the time savings you get, freeing you to focus on building your business or engaging in other website promotion activities. Such tools normally carries a one-time price tag so most newbie webmasters can also afford them. Read more at my blog about several affordable search engine submission tools that you can use to drive instant traffic.

10 SEO Tricks to Attract More Traffic to Your Blog

November 13, 2009 by IBI · Leave a Comment

As fancy as the term “blog” sounds, it’s actually just a website that uses a content management system. While most blog software is more search engine friendly out of the box than many web sites, the opportunities for blog optimization are readily available.

Here are 10 tricks that will increase your visibility in search engines and eventually drive more traffic to your blog.

1) Use keywords in your blog post titles – This is a given for SEO. Most blogging software uses the post title as the url so take advantage of it.

Example: “10 SEO Tricks to Attract More Traffic to your Blog – Search Engine Journal”
Search Engine Journal is included on every blog post title tag automatically.

2) Optimize your blog categories – When you create categories for your blog, be sure to use keywords in the titles. When you post, be sure to default to a general category that is relevant no matter what the post is about. Choose multiple categories on each post when appropriate. This will create a “SEO-friendly” url for each post you make.

3) Syndicate your blog – Make it easy for people to subscribe to your blog. Sign-up with a free service like Feedburner and then create a “syndication” area on your site.

4) Offer RSS to email. Anywhere from 10% to 40% of your blog traffic can come from individuals that perfer to read blog posts via email. RSS readers and aggregators can be confusing. Adding email services to your blog isn’t. There are several free services available for this including: FeedBlitz, Squeet, and Zookoda.

5) Ping blog search engines – This can be configured with blog software such as Movable Type or WordPress to work automatically. If you’re using Blogger.com, then you can do this manually with Pingomatic.com or Pingoat.com.

6) Make comments on other blogs. Your name will be linked to the blog url that you enter. Don’t make comments that offer no value to the blog post. Don’t use keywords in the field for your name, use your name or blog name.

7) Submit your blog directories. Also submit the blog to regular directories such as (DMOZ, JoeAnt, GoGuides, Google Blog Search, etc) that have categories for blogs.

8) Targeted advertising – Now this doesn’t really drive traffic to your site but will make you money. It’s possible by using Google AdSense to display highly targeted ads on your blog. Once you’ve setup an account and placed the ads on your site, just sit back and watch the cash come in. Cha-ching.

9) Snatch up hot keywords – Now before you place ads on your blog, be sure your keyword density is good for the right terms. A great tool to improve your traffic for high-paying keywords is to use a product called Keyword Elite (http://www.seojuice.com).

10) Use track backs – If there is a blog that you refer to or quote and it is highly relevant to your subject, leave a track back. It increases your link popularity and may even score a few interested readers from the linked site. A TrackBack is a mechanism used in a blog to show, around an entry, a list of other blogs that refer to it.

Summary
The important thing to remember is that no matter how many optimization tactics you employ with a blog, there is no substitute for quality content. Blog optimization is only as effective as the quality and usefulness of the content you’re optimizing. So do not limit yourself to tips and lists. Use your imagination and you will come up with thousands of ways to drive traffic to your blog!

Attract Hits to Your Web Page With GOOGLE ADWORDS.

November 12, 2009 by IBI · Leave a Comment

To be successful in internet marketing you need to drive highly targeted traffic to your website. This is one of the most important facets of internet marketing. Anyone who owns or manages a website knows how vital attracting traffic is. The success of any website is not totally dependent on the site itself. You want to get your content in front of the eyes of eager consumers; even if you have the best product or service or have the most amazing website anyone has ever created, if you don’t use the right advertising strategies, you might as well not even bother creating a site. If you want success and profits from your website, you have to get targeted traffic to visit it. To help the website marketer increase the flow of traffic to their website, there are many internet-marketing tools available. One extremely well-developed tool for this purpose is GOOGLE ADWORDS.
How does the GOOGLE ADWORDS service work? GOOGLE receives over 200 million queries every day, simply because it is the largest search engine on the internet. As the most recognized search engine, webmasters strive for the highest possible rankings on the GOOGLE search engine. You know what they say, location, location, location, and what that means in the Internet world is that high search rankings lead to high traffic for your website. Advertisers and consumers alike, use the search engine results page to promote and to find services through ads and links. As a result, GOOGLE developed its Adwords service as a means for companies to target market goods and services. Use of Adwords in GOOGLE can assuredly result in instant increase in traffic. GOOGLE uses “Sponsored Links” to show searchers relevant text based ads within its search engine results page. Whenever a specific keyword is searched for, these appropriate links appear in a separate section giving exceptional exposure to the sites listed.
How does GOOGLE ADWORDS work? Before you begin, it is necessary to open an account with GOOGLE ADWORDS. The second step is to give an indication of your target language and the country. Skipping this step could cost you a lot of money since you don’t want or need your services advertised in countries where your product or service cannot be sold. The next thing to do is create an ad group. This will involve not only designing the ad, but selecting keywords and determining the maximum cost per click that you will spend, and defining the amounts of bids. Take the time to select a smart ‘title tag’ for your Adwords campaign since that is what will catch the attention of your potential customers. The most vital element of your Adwords effort is the title tag, which is commonly a brief phrase. Take the time to be certain that it is appealing and memorable. Your website description needs to clear, concise and give an accurate representation of what you do. Effective advertising will convey a clear message to its target audience. If your message is clear, you can gain access to legitimate leads that might turn into sale dollars later. Picking the right keywords is of the utmost importance, and directly affect the success of your business.
You can vary keywords to reach more prospective audiences. You can boost the prospects of your ads being served by using these varieties, misspellings and derivatives. Broad match is directed at specifying keywords in a less stricter way. This sort of fuzzy logic search technology allows ads to appear based on keywords that have been queried by other users as opposed to exact match, which can be beneficial to your efforts. On the other hand, a keyword phrase set to “phrase match” will only appear when the exact phrase is searched on, which helps to narrow your results. A negative keyword is useful in filtering unrelated pages.
After choosing the title tag for your ad you must decide on a budget that will allow you to maximize your exposure. GOOGLE ADWORDS recommends that you set a daily budget for each promotion. You need to decide on a budget that is right for you, and it needs to be one that you can afford. It is also necessary for you to determine the maximum it would cost per click. GOOGLE will suggest a recommended cost per click, but you are not required to stay with their suggestion. A number one position can attract useless clicks and unwanted traffic and so is really not ideal. A position in the number two slot, with its ability to filter useless clicks and supply traffic which will have a higher conversion rate, is more preferred.
To tie it all up, GOOGLE ADWORDS is an excellent tool, and if used strategically can give your website the maximum exposure you need to succeed. That being said, you should be using other advertising tools in addition to GOOGLE ADWORDS. By using this advertising campaign you will see more highly targeted traffic visiting your website.

Using Twitter.Com To Market Your Music And Attract More Sales & Fans

November 7, 2009 by IBI · Leave a Comment

In this article, I’m going to share with you a very popular
Social Networking site called Twitter.com that you can literally
spend just about 5-10 minute a day on and be able to attract a
very good amount of high quality traffic in the form of fans and
music buyers back to your website or myspace page. And its really fun.

Before we begin, I want to let you know that very few people are
using this method of attracting new fans and attention to their music, why?
Simply because they either A- Don’t know or B- Are to lazy

In fact, if you take the steps that I give you below and apply them
you’ll be way ahead of everyone else.

Are you ready? Great, then lets begin!

Things You’ll Need to successfully use twitter:

* Computer
* Internet / mobile
* Few seconds of time

Step 1 – SMM (social media marketing) is the latest online
marketing trend to hit the music industry because its an highly
profitable and easy way to build brand recognition for you the
artist.

It’s a also a great way to get new fans to your website, blog or
Myspace page through social media like facebook, myspace, flickr,
youtube, digg and the like.

Social media sites are web sites where news, photos, videos and pod
casts are hosted through user submission. If you’ve ever thought that
marketing your music through social media is time consuming,
Twitter is an exception

Step 2 – The reason why I really like Twitter is because it is
a lot easier and simpler social networking and
micro-blogging service. All you will need to do is answer the
question, ‘what are you doing?’ in less than 140 characters. These
short messages are called “tweets”. Your tweets are immediately
displayed on the your profile page and instantly delivered to other
users who are following you (i.e. your fans.)

So for instance, some of your tweets may look like
“I’m in the studio recording a new song for the next CD”
“I’m sitting at the park writing a new song”
“I’m at the SWSX music conference”

So do you see how this works? Pretty easy right?

So how do you start Tweeting?

Step 3 – Sign up for a free twitter account. The most important
thing that you want to remember is to use you Artist name, Business
Name
or Real Name rather than some abstract alphanumeric
combination. This will help build credibility.

The next step is to change a few things in your profile,
immediately. Include keywords about your music and genre, interests
and whatever you want to use twitter for. You can restrict your tweet
delivery to those in your circle, but I suggest leaving the
Default setting in place, which is “delivery to everyone”.

Step 4 – Click ‘find and follow’ to follow people from your aol,
yahoo gmail and other email contacts who are already tweeting. You can
also find people with similar interests by searching for a keyword
according to your Genre or interest (i.e. Jaxx Music, Hip Hop,
Country). Click follow, if you find any interesting.

By the way, My twitter name is TyCohen ;)

Step 5 – Now you are all set to send your first tweet. Type a small
message (max 140 characters including spaces) telling people what
you are doing. You can send tweets through twitter website or
instant messenger or SMS from your cell-phone. You need to confirm
your cell phone number first. Do this by clicking devices.

If you think it doesn’t make any sense and is sheer waste of time,
then you are under estimating twitter potential.

Step 6 – Twitter allows you to add links in the tweets which is a
huge marketing benefit to you. You can use
this to display your own links. For ex: one of my tweets today was
“Using MySpace to Make Your CD Sales Soar!

Step 7 – By tweeting frequently, following and being followed, you
can grow a small community of people with similar interests and who
recognize your name and your brand!

Step 8 – I downloaded a great time saver Twhirl. It is a third
party application for twitter. If tweeting takes around 60 seconds,
Twhirl cuts down that time to below 10 seconds.

Twhirl stays on the desktop (logged in). I don’t need to visit the
twitter website during my hectic workday. All I do is, click the twhirl
icon from the system tray and type a short “whatever I’m doing”
tweet and send. Twhirl also notifies when I receive messages from
my followers or anyone that I’m following. So I don’t miss a thing and
all without wasting my time.

You can also use twhirl to upload pictures to twitpic.com, a site
to share photos.

There are many applications for twitter like twitterfeed (similar
to twhirl), twittervision, which shows the geo position of the your
twitter friends and so on.

So there you go! A quick and easy way to expand your marketing to
millions of people all for free.

Happy Tweeting.
