Techniques to Excel at Copywriting for the Web
November 22, 2009 by IBI · Leave a Comment
Any writing that promotes and sells a product or a service is known as copywriting. It is also known as business writing. It is the art and science of scripting words to not only promote and sell but also to persuade the reader about the product or service. Radio commercials, sales letters, commercials and even the classified ads on the highway are example of copywriting.
What is copywriting for the web?
Copywriting is of various types and the writing done especially for a web page is known as copywriting for the web. Excellent copywriting for the web can have an enormous upshot on search engine optimization. It is a very interesting job and the ones who love writing and are very creative find this profession very fascinating and appealing.
Writing for the web is not that a difficult job, and if you keep a few tips and tricks in mind, then you can successfully and effectively write more creative and fruitful web content.
A few tips and tricks:
• Know the subject well Copywriting does not mean simply copying and pasting other works! Instead, you need to do a thorough and in depth research on the topic, you are supposed to write. If you know the subject well in depth, you can excel at copywriting as this will not only make it easier for you to write but would also help you in writing an original and at the same time a high standard copywriting work.
• Opt for topics of interest Try to choose topics or subjects of your interest, or in which you have some knowledge, as this will help you in writing effectively. If you go in for the topics not of your interest, you might not be able to do justice to the writing.
• Choose target audience Before you start to write, it is important for you to figure out the target audience, as this will help you maintain the right pitch and the attitude of the article keeping in mind the taste and preference of the targeted audience.
• Plan Before you start writing, just make rough sketch of how the article should look like and what should be the sub heads, punch lines, what will be the word limit and what all are you going to include. Preparing a plan like this will help you in writing fast for the web.
• Logical flow of data and at the same time it should be interesting. There should be a logical flow of idea in the writing as an illogical flow may not be able to grab the attention of the reader. Along with it, the content should be appealing and exclusive, so that it can hold up the interest of the readers until the end.
• Relevant to the topic Many a time while writing, we go off the track. Therefore, we should always keep in mind that our writing is very much relevant to the business the website carries out, for which we are writing.
• Language Try to use plain and simple, easy to understand language. Your readers do not have much time to invest in understanding your language.
These are some of the basic tips and techniques which if properly implemented will definitely help you write an excellent copywriting for the web. Oops! Missed one thing! Do not forget to use Search Engine Optimization tools to make your copy more visible and help the readers find you.

The Best Affiliate Products
November 19, 2009 by IBI · Leave a Comment
As an article marketing specialist, I do a lot of research reading other peoples articles. Recently I’ve seen a number of affiliate sales articles that I found a little disturbing. They suggested that you should seek out the affiliate products with the highest commission and recommend them to your customers. I retired after twenty-two years as a financial adviser and I can say this is absolutely WRONG!
Venders who recommend the highest commission products without regard to quality will sometimes prosper in the short term, but they will seldom survive in their business over the long-term. For that reason, you should always have your customers’ best interests in mind when offering products.
Never recommend a product to someone based solely on the commission it pays. You should always recommend the BEST product to your customers. Regardless of whether it has a one dollar or one thousand dollar commission. Always recommend the best products to your customers. The reason for this is simple. I don’t want to sell one product to my customer; I want them to come back to me time and again for all of their needs.
If you sell a product based on the commission alone, you could be selling crap. And you don’t want to do that to your customers. This is not to say that all high commission items are of little value. Indeed, some are quite good. But the amount of commission should not be a factor in your decision to recommend it.
However, if you have two great affiliate products and one has a ten-dollar commission and the other has a hundred dollar commission, why not offer both of them to your customers. Or sell the one with the lower commission initially and try to up sell your customer the higher commission item after the sale. This sort of arrangement makes much more sense to me as a businessman.
My attitude has always been; “Take care of the customer and the commissions will take care of themselves.” This approach has always served me well. Offer the best products that do the best job for your customers. If you follow that maxim, you will never have to concern yourself with how much money you make. Over the long-term, you will do extremely well.

Black Hat vs White Hat Seo
November 15, 2009 by IBI · Leave a Comment
It is not all black and white
There is a significant divide in the SEO industry over the color of a SEOs Hat. The debate about the ethical or unethical nature of SEO can continue till world’s end. But, there are certain SEO techniques labeled under Black Hat SEO which raise the ire of search engines. And certain White Hat SEO techniques may also cause some trouble.content and context – Now you see it, now you don’t In Black Hat SEO the content, links etc are not visible to human visitors, they are all aimed at search engines alone. If human visitors do chance upon a Black Hat SEO page their user experience is ruined as usually the content on such web pages consists of machine generated, keyword stuffed nonsense.
White Hat SEOs generally, optimize for their users keeping search engine rankings in mind. Though some SEOs make the mistake of creating ugly, unreadable pages which negate the motive of creating a web page as they do not convert well.Attitude towards search engines – War and peace Black Hat SEOs are at constant war with search engines. They are always looking to one up them, by cheating on guidelines and twisting or manipulating algorithms. Though not following search engine guidelines is no crime per say, but completely bypassing them or manipulating them for results can harm your experience with the target audience.
White Hat SEOs are at peace with search engines, neither are they looking to follow every single guideline nor are the looking to manipulate them in any way. White Hat SEOs either completely ignore search engines or treat them with respect. White Hat SEOs usually incorporate techniques in their webpages which are aimed at their human visitors.Relevancy – Making sense Relevance is a subjective issue. A site relevant to a particular individual for a keyword may not be so for another individual or a whole group of individuals. But search engines work to cater to a group. Search engines decide the relevance of a page on the basis of their algorithm White Hat SEOs work to improve relevance by changing the site and content structure and links. These are visible to people and the links can be followed by human visitors.
Black Hat SEOs instead, create site structure and content which is not for human visitors to see. They seek to improve relevance and ranking by spamming, cloaking and other back door techniques.Permanent ban from search engine indices – Fall into line
The risk of being dropped from search engine indices is present whether the site had been optimized or not. Certain White Hat SEO techniques may increase these risks, but some others can drastically reduce the risk of being removed from search engine indices. Black Hat SEO techniques are definitely associated with high risk of being kicked off a search engine’s index. Also, most black Hat techniques if detected result in the site being permanently banned from search engine indices, but this is not the case with White Hat SEO.Peer review and accreditation As the website and SEO industry grows and progresses, the work done by SEOs on web pages are reviewed not only by clients and visitors but by peers and industry experts as well. White Hat SEOs optimize their pages keeping their target visitors in focus and SEOs in mind. So their work towards the purpose of ranking well on search engine indices is there for all to see. Hence, clients, visitors, experts and peers can review and comment on the quality of their work. Black Hat SEOs aim at search engines alone and hence, the quality of their work cannot be judged by clients or visitors or peers. This can be detriment to the industry as it progresses. Results Both black Hat and White Hat SEO provide both short term and long term results. White Hat SEO techniques might take longer to implement and produce results. But their effects are generally longer lasting than Black Hat SEO as they are associated with lesser risk. Both black Hat techniques and white Hat techniques can generate both short term and long term results for clients, whether results are measured in terms of rankings, traffic, conversion or profit.

How to Create Your Own Money Making Blog
November 10, 2009 by IBI · Leave a Comment
1. Choose a niche for your blog.
What is your hobbie or what are you passionate about? Cars? Movies? Houses? Finances?
Stick on it! This should be your niche for your blog. Concentrate on it and your online business will succeed!
Don’t waste your time for bloging about everything! You won’t get more traffic and sales or profits from CPC with absolutely different posts on your blog! You want get visitors attraction and what is the worst thing – they will never come back to your blog! Be an expert and not just talk about everything!
2. Choose a domain name and webhosting.
One must have own domain name. Domain name is your visit card over the Internet with your name on it. So how good is your visit card influence on people’s attitude to you and your online business. There are so many bad looking websites or blogs, because people don’t consider it nessesary to do it good and have their own domain name.
So to create our blog we should start from choosing a domain name for it. Most of website hosting services like Ipower or Siteground offer free domain name registration if you will pay for your annual hosting. Another great feature is that they have webhosting affiliate prorgams. You can get your money back for website hosting by referring other people to them or even make good profit.
There is another great way to get your money back and make good profitable source of income by using this great webhosting service: Global Domains International. It’s multi-level well-known and stable marketing company which for $10 permonth will give you website-name.ws and webhosting. Every person who was personally referred by you or you downline will make you $1 per month. That’s why having just 1000 people in your downline will make you $1000 per month. That’s how owr blog can make us $1000 per month from just 1 source of income!
How should we choose a domain name for our blog? I can suggest you 2 ways: first one to register your domain name from your own name – like www.VitaliySyromyatnikov.com or www.syromyatnikov.ws. This way you will promote yourself over the Internet. The other way is to register domain names with niche keywords on which you want to concentrate you blog. But nowadays is to hard to register domains with niche keywords with .com, but it’s much easier with .ws one.
3. Choose engine for your blog.
Great! You have your domain name for your blog now! The following step is to choose you blog engine – content management system for your blog. My blog MoneyMakersPortal is powered by very good engine Wordpress.com and hosted on IPower PHP5 hosting. I may suggest you to use WordPress too. Even if you will register just .ws domain name, you can redirect your free Wordpress blog to it.
If you have your blog now – put short description of it in the comments to this post with hyperlink to it and I will send you free traffic!
4. Fill your blog with good and useful content.
5. Choose cost-per-click (CPC) programs.
Cost-per-click advertising is very good source of income from your blog. But you need a lot of traffic to make real money on it. There are a lot of CPC programs. These I use on my blog: – Bidvertiser They also have a referral program. Place a Referral button on your site and you will start to earn money when a user clicks on your button and signs as an advertiser or a publisher: – When a user signs as an advertiser and first spends $10, they’ll credit your account with $5. When that same advertiser spends $50, you will be credited with an additional $20. – When a user signs as a publisher and first earns $10, they’ll credit your account with $10. When that same publisher earns $50, you will be credited with an additional $40. Your earnings are tracked in your control panel, including clicks, sign-ups and conversions. Your earnings from referrals will be included with your BidVertiser earnings in the monthly payment cycle.
Another great CPC program I use on my blogs is Adbrite.com.
Adbrite also has a referral program to make money with. What to do: AdBrite Referral Button Place one of our Referral buttons on your site. You start to generate income when a user clicks on your button and becomes an active AdBrite publisher or buys advertising through AdBrite. On all buying and selling activity referred by your site, you earn: * 50% of AdBrite’s profits for the first 3 months * 10% of AdBrite’s profit for the next 9 months
5. Get more readers for your blog by giving some free stuf to people.
6. Submit your blog to the biggest search engines: MSN, Yahoo and Google.
7. Promote your blog by writing short articles.
This will give your so wanted and valued by search engines back links.
8. Comment on other people blogs.
Not jsut say “Hi”. Don’t put direct ad of your blog.
Read their posts relevant to your blog and tell your opinion about it, you experience or questions you may have. But force readers to take immidiate action. This will give you more targeted visitors.
9. Take conversations on forum threads.
If the thread theme is connected with your blog content – write little article and post it to the forum.
10. Build your list.
Have you ever heard this saying: “Money is in the list”? You still don’t build your own list? You are wasting your time.
11. Leverage your promotional efforts.
The best thing in Internet and Network Marketing to build strong and very profitable business is duplication.
You must have a very simple to duplicate for everyone system that needs a lot of efforts to promote when you just start your online business adn then may make you more and more money on complete autopilot with minimum efforts from your side. Don’t use just some traffic exchanges or safe lists. Use system like I have mentioned above. As for me I use 2 systems like that: Affiliate Funnel and Earth Friendly Biz.
12. Use the power of Social Media Networks like FaceBook, MySpace and others.
Don’t bombard people in social networks with your business opportunity or affiliate links! Make friends! Your blog is your house! Ask them to be your guests. Tell them about yourself, your kids, your hobbies, pets, show them your photos. Thus they will come to your blog over and over to find something interesting, to talk to you and what is the best – they will make your blog viral – they will tell their friends about your blog. Their friends will visit it too and thus you can make sales because they will be interested in your own or affiliate products.

MoneyMakersPortal.com is a blog that helps you start your own Internet home business. If you review his blog, I’ll link back to your blog or website and send you tons of traffic for free!
My name is Vitaliy Syromyatnikov, 32 years old guy from Krivoy Rog, Ukraine, who wants to become a millionaire in 2 years. My goal is to help as much people as I can to achieve success and their goals!

How Can You Maintain Your Blog
November 6, 2009 by IBI · Leave a Comment
Blogging is rampant. Blogs are aplenty on the internet. Some are still around after many years, while some have simply stopped their activities. To keep the blogs alive, bloggers have to put in a lot of effort to implement continual blog maintenance to their blogs. Technology supports this move. Blog-publishing tools are helping to automate blog maintenance.
Certain factors that will have a bearing on the results of blog maintenance include the following:
(1) Quality of Content and Extent of Time Commitment
What your blog needs is content. It should be fresh and of quality. The reason for this is because you need to entice readers to return to your blog for more refreshing information. It needs traffic to keep it alive and grow. Content for your blog should be updated actively. It can be scheduled to be on a daily, weekly or monthly basis, according to your time availability. In the case of multiple blogs, efforts should be doubled in terms of apportioning the right amount of time to each blog. Different kinds of blogs may require different treatment. If you have a blog that is health care related, you can post it on a daily basis. With a sports-related blog, posting can be done weekly. Posting can also done anywhere at any time, for instance at internet cafes. Consistency is the keyword.
(2) Management of your Time Commitment
Posts can be written at any time of the day and at any place. When you have an inspiration or when an interesting topic strikes up in your mind, jot it down first. There will be no scarcity of ideas to write your posts when you need them urgently. It would be good to fix a certain time of the day to compile your posts. This would instill discipline into your blogging activity. Staying focused on your posts will certainly produce well-written posts that will be pleasing to read. This attitude is vital to blog maintenance. Strict adherence to your posting time schedule is good for the blog, but do remember to inject some fun into the blogging. Blogging will not be a monotonous and cumbersome activity.
(3) Simple and fast posting
Different types of posts can be written in many styles that suit your writing mood. Posts may vary in length. They may be easy or slightly more difficult. Posts can be written in a simple and fast manner. Be straight to the point in sentence construction. You should include a little personalization and emotion. Things that you can write about may include a topic about your favourite memory, your ideal wish, what have you heard on the news today, or even what thing you have done lately that makes you feel proud to share. If you are passionate about any topic, it would be much easier writing that post. Reading will be so much more fun and pleasurable.
(4) Archival of your posts
Archival of posts contributes to blog maintenance. It is extremely effective. Your readers will be able to retrieve them easily. You can decide on how the archival system should be constructed. Archives can be done on daily, weekly, or monthly basis. For instance, monthly archiving will show the link indicating a single month Jan 2008, Feb 2008 and so on. Archives can also be categorized according to different topics. It enables readers to click on the link of the relevant topic they are searching for. Archiving generally helps readers to search for older posts more easily. It will help you administratively especially when you intend to retrieve the dates of certain past programs.

To Get More Followers on Twitter Update Your Post Regularly
November 3, 2009 by IBI · Leave a Comment
If you use Twitter, you know how important it is to get more followers on twitter. But did you know that updating your posts on a regular basis will get more attention? By updating regularly, you have fresh, new content that will be pleasing to read and will also keep your readers entertained. No one wants to read old news that hasn’t been updated. That may prove the attitude that you are not concerned with your page or not taking the time to update regularly. This can prove to be a negative experience for your readers.
To get more followers on twitter, you need to have fresh content such as entertainment, helpful tips, and tweets about your business, videos and other items of interest to both yourself and the community at large. By having updated posts, you will have more people willing to read your tweets. If you don’t update and have fresh content, you run the risk of not only turning your current readers off, but also potential new followers as well. No one wants to read an outdated tweet about a grand opening for example. That is just plain wrong.
Now you can see a bit how to get more followers on twitter more easily. Outdated content will add nothing and will, in fact, hurt you very much. Perception is everything and the perception here would be that the person in question doesn’t care enough to put updated content. So how do you update content? Simple! You add new content to your page and tweet about new things. You also can remove older tweets so that you are not perceived as having a page that is “old news”. Old news can be very damaging to your listing.
Learning how to get more followers on twitter is relatively easy. By having updated content every day, you have the ability to attract a loyal following. Here are some ways to update your content. You can post new stuff through a news aggregator or RSS feed. You can also post at predetermined times during the day. The maximum tweets that you should post per day should be between 2 and 4 per day. 20 per day is overkill. Another thing you need to do is update your followers. Remove all bots that post messages more than 5 times a day.
Don’t be afraid to block bots that spam your list. By removing them, this will also get more followers on twitter besides the updated content. Both together will really help you when it comes to attracting followers on Twitter. Fresh content will engage the reader and leave them wanting much more. By constantly updating your tweets, you will attract quite a bit of attention and develop quite the following. No matter what content that you choose, you will always have a good source of things to tweet about, such as helpful hints, videos, music and other sorts of information that will mean something to those on your list. This will always attract more followers to your list.

Hot Affiliate Marketing Tips for This Year
October 31, 2009 by IBI · Leave a Comment
As the Internet changes, so marketing has to change with it, and that includes affiliate marketing. My affiliate marketing tips for this year include a different attitude to how to attract buyers and toward websites and blogs.
Presell don’t sell
The whole point of affiliate marketing is that you presell products, you don’t sell them. Trying to sell affiliate products, with banners and ads that scream ‘Buy Me’ are some of the biggest mistakes I see being made by affiliates. As an affiliate, your job is to get the prospect to the merchant’s site, and let the merchant do the selling.
Be careful, though, when selecting banners and text ads from merchants. Some do not understand the need to presell either, and they will offer sales material rather than pre-sales material. Don’t use it, write your own. That, then, is the first important tip for this year.
Get a website
Many affiliates do not have a website, and rely on Adwords to make money. This used to work, and can still work with impulsive buy products, but not with many products. The problem is simple – they don’t trust the seller.
This has nothing to do with the internet, by the way, it is just a fact of life. People like to feel comfortable with firms they deal with, and need to have been in contact with them five to seven times before they are ready to trust them enough to buy their products.
If you send someone directly to a merchant’s site from Adwords, you are invisible, and they merchant is a complete unknown. So you have little chance of making a sale. It is true that many seasoned marketers do, but believe me, the bulk of their income comes from elsewhere.
As an affiliate, you need to set yourself up as an expert in your niche, and that means you need a website. It does not need to be big. Five to ten pages are enough to do the job. Here, you give information, and get the prospects to sign up for your list so you can send offers to them.
So, my second affiliate marketing tip for this year is to get our own web site.
Write a blog
My third affiliate marketing tip is to write a blog. This can be added to any site that has Cpanel and Fantastico, which will install Wordpress for you in less than a minute. You can also get a blog at services like blogger.com and wordpress.com, but these have less authority than one you host yourself.
Straight away you can start posting to your blog, and you can write anything you like related to your topic. Not only is this useful, but it is fun.
So here are my three affiliate marketing tips for this year: Presell don’t sell; get a website to support your affiliate business; and set up a blog.

7 Steps to Better Blog Entries
October 28, 2009 by IBI · Leave a Comment
Posting blog entries consistently is one of the starting points to getting your blog notice by readers. When you first create a blog you want to be sure that your post are thought provoking, informative, or at the very least create a stir. A great way to judge the reaction to your posts is in both the number and nature of blog comments left at your site.
What we want to address here today is how to position your site to be one of the top blogs in your niche. No doubt the use of numerous SEO and blog design approaches can be very advantageous to positioning your site. Our focus here however will be on making the most out of every entry to the blog site itself.
Here are 7 blogging tips you can use immediately when posting entries to increase the popularity of your site within your niche.
Let the Reader Know How You Feel
Show some attitude when applicable in your posting, after all it is your blog. Readers will enjoy your display of ‘personality’ and so will you since it will make your writing a lot more fun and therefore easier for you.
Keep Post Brief
Your post does not have to be article length but in fact it would usually be better that it isn’t. A composition of about 250 to 300 words will work just fine. This will help maintain the readers’ attention long enough to read the complete post and it won’t be as much effort for you to write.
Riveting Headline
Do what you can to capture the readers attention. Since the headline will be the first things they see try to insure it is an accurate ‘portrayal’ of what the content holds for the reader.
When possible the use of shock or humor will work wonderfully but be sure to deliver to the reader what your headline may promise.
Be Passionate
A show of enthusiasm or passion in your writings will serve to get your reader more involved in what they are reading. If your tone sounds bored it is only natural that the reader will quickly adopt this feeling and probably quit reading.
Also if you are passionate or excited about what it is you’re writing this will only make your efforts seem more like play and less like work.
Reader Friendly Format
Make your posts easy to read by following a layout that is easy on the eyes. Avoiding long paragraphs will lessen the eye strain of your readers.
The use of bold letters or underlining also makes it easier for the reader to scan your post for the highlights or important points of the post itself.
Also when possible, try to present your points in a listed fashion whether thru the use of subtitles, numbers, or bullets points.
Optimize Your Post
Consider what it is your post is all about. By identifying the main point of the post you can isolate and select keywords or keyword phrases. By optimizing your post in such a way you now have made it easier for search engines to find your posted material.
The end result when you properly optimize your post will be more readers will now find your post when they conduct a search for content such as yours.
More readers – sweet deal!
Ask For & Encourage Comments
At the end of every post ask readers what they thought of the information you provided. This encourages helpful feedback for you and more interaction by the readers themselves.
The feedback is something you can use to improve your blog while the increased interactivity by the reader will be more satisfying to them.
Your blog entries are the foundation upon which you will build your site. When you first create a blog your focus should be on any blog comments left at your site. There is no better barometer as to how your blog site is being received by readers online. By following the 7 blogging tips we discussed above you can position yourself to become one of the top blogs in your niche. There will be other techniques like the blog design, linking and SEO that will also help but remember it all starts with the content you put on the site.
